Our defense played well the second half today and last week. Would you have taken the D holding TB to 27? I would have expected we need 30 or more to beat them. Early bad play, conservative nonsense cost us. Not on the D or Allen.

I understand your thoughts. Offense needs to score points in the  1st half but the D gave up 24 points and a lot of yards. I don’t want to accept that a scenario that we needed to score 30, because that seems like a score that guarantees a win, and unreasonable on the road.

a win would have been a momentum building turning point, the loss still might.

Disagree. What games have we won this year because of him? Not saying I don’t want him but that just is not true this year. He has kept us close but a bad loss does not count any different than a close one. We are 7-6 and our 7 wins were mostly easy ones.

4 players in NFL history have run for 100 yards and passed for 300. I hope we can agree the Bills do not have a strong run game. He cannot rely on another player to take over a game. He’s not Brady or Rodgers, but he’s our entire Offense.

The last 2 losses have sucked, but we live and die with his performance. Other QBs have the luxury of a defense respecting the run game.

I don’t know who to blame anymore, the O line or the run scheme.

  3. Nightmare scenario with injuries on D, but I agree there is no game plan going into these games. Daboll has to see this line gets destroyed and they still rely on slow developing pass plays. You counter the blitz with draws and screens. The Bills counter it with Allen running for his life.

He's certainly complaining too much for the refs about not getting Offside calls when he shouldn't actually be getting them. He lets the play get away from him on those plays and they always end up badly.

I don’t think they showed a great replay of the Offside that wasn’t called this week, but it sure looked like both DTs moved.  Either way, throwing a jump ball to the Tight End there was pretty useless.

In general, I am tired of the obvious hard counts with no plan to snap the ball.

My only complaint is that on the 4th down pass, he just lofted the throw instead of putting some zip on the ball. The pass fluttered in the wind, which allowed the DB to come back for the ball. Davis would  have been about 5 yards deep in the end zone where the off defender could not have reached it.

Not only that, the pass was poorly underthrown.

    Oh well. On to Tampa.

He threw off his back foot because of the pressure, but if there’s a time to step up and take a hit, it’s on 4th down to win a game.

  5. Soft in the trenches. Looks worse with Star and Brown out, but we don’t grind out wins in bad weather or respond to adversity at all really. AFC is wide open, so there’s hope but I say not with this O line.

Allen forced the ball today, but I’ll still defend his play or at least his aggressive mind set. You saw the Colts line today open up lanes and give Taylor 3+ yards before we was touched. I don’t think our backs are the problem. The best argument that systems and o- lines make the running game might be made by fantasy football. When Dalvin Cook is out, everyone picks up Mattison and he delivers, San Fran has success with guys you’ve never heard of, Adrian Peterson averaged 4 YPC today.   We can’t run the ball against 2 high safeties.

You don’t even need your ACL. 3-6 weeks of strengthening supporting muscles, then go out there in the DonJoy brace. Many of players have played without their ACL.

I actually prefer to have a torn ACL when I start a new squat routine, isolates the quads.

  7. Allen has to do everything for this offense. The RBs have no holes and he doesn’t have time to go through his progressions. If he wasn’t so elusive we would rarely execute on 3rd and long. I’m sure Diggs and Sanders are open downfield. He needs a pocket to find them. Of course, he plays too much hero ball but it’s because it’s him or no one.

I don't like the zone defense. WR's are always open in the middle of the field and make uncontested catches. Brown, and Parker were running wide open the past two games.

Zone D can be frustrating to watch as a fan but it keeps everything in front of the safeties. Most WR routes are option routes, so in man they can make a move to get open, unless they are blanketed by one of the few elite corners in the league. The Bills D is a disciplined, conservative D that forces the offense to have a long, sustained drive with multiple 3rd down conversions to score. I think they are executing Leslie Frazier’s vision to a T. We could use more sacks, that would elevate the D to the elite status.

In an ironic twist of fate it’s now a tad annoying for a Bills fantasy fan that Josh is so well known.

last few years it was easy to draft him late. Now you am going to have to snag him super early or miss out!

Most fans just know follow the bias in the media of the player. The media was brutal on Allen before last year and most people thought he was terrible. Bills fans that watched every snap saw an ascending talent.

I didn’t realize how many people didn’t think he would get a second contract until the topic on this board posted their crazy Twitter posts.

If you want him, you gotta go rounds 2-5, I waited too long.

  10. Perfect technique, head up, did not not use crown of helmet as a weapon but unfortunately they are the same height and Field turned into it. He was completely unblocked, so difficult to adjust at full speed. I’m all for protecting QBs, they game is tough to watch with most back-ups, but there was no malicious intent with that hit.  Definitely a penalty in today’s NFL but I also dislike QBs dancing around with no repercussions.

  11. The Vikings fans I know, compared Diggs to Percy Harvin before last year calling him a diva. Turns out he was right to be frustrated at the lack of targets. #1 WR’s are naturally going to want the ball every play because they know they are consistently beating their man.

You’d think Cousins would have locked in on him. Probably shows how much better Josh Allen is, and they’re just getting started
