  1. Well... Better than last week. I can see Allen just needs some more experience seeing where pressures coming especially. I'm encouraged by what I saw I think he's going to get a lot better as he gains more experience analyzing defenses pre snap.

I think McDermott took over the play calling in that 2nd half so it'll be interesting to see if there's serious heat on Frazier. The defense was better in the 2nd half.

Tremaine Edmunds was being picked on. He'll get better as he builds up his experience. Rivers really abused the rookie. As he sees more and more that misdirection stuff like that, he won't fall for it at some point and that'll be nice when the lights finally turn on there.

Special teams whewwww that punt that turned into a touchback was ugly... Idk why they didn't dead that ball asap it was inside the 5... Too greedy cost a nice field position switch.

The o line looked better... Still nothing stellar but better than last week. I think Allen also needs more experience setting up his protection hopefully the line gets better as they play more games together. That's really important in the trenches that chemistry and that's going to take time and live games.

I wasn't expecting a win here and I wasn't even really expecting this game to be close. I just wanted to see some improvement and I did to an extent. McDermott still had a long ways to go.

  2. I'm blaming this all on the offense. The line first and foremost bc they we're absolutely putrid. Those dudes should all be ashamed of themselves.

Next up is the sorry group who pretend to be NFL wide receivers... Kelvin Benjamin is a scrub. Big and slow and can't catch a cold. Zay Jones is a total bust and waste of oxygen on the field. I don't even know who else we have bc they're so terrible it's not even worth knowing.

The defense... Pfft. Our secondary was a straight dumpster fire. The line played on against the run that's about it. That DE Murphy we got from Washington ought to be in jail for stealing $$$ from the bills. That cripple had zero impact on the game.

I'm going to stop because I'm ruining my Monday thinking about how horrible this team played yesterday. McDermott fix your damn team you bald headed prick.

Hasn't even been that bad today. Yes there has been some holding calls on runs but Nate has had plenty of time. Something our QBs had none of during preseason

What fricken game are you watching? The line is utter garbage!!! Anyone who says that O Line has played even mediocre needs to get their eyes checked because that's some of the worst O line play I've ever seen in football... I said it way back in the off season this FO had better keep their picks and get at least 1 good O lineman and take whatever QB falls to them. Now we are stuck watching these turnstiles get straight OWNED every week... Peterman and Allen will both end up broken before this season is over mark my words.

Yea, his demeanor is a lot like incognito...

football is a very violent game, but a game none the less and nothing like actual war or being a soldier

the U sure had him brainwashed for the program

Yo... What is going on with Incognito? Like the guy is seriously going mental! I wonder if he has that traumatic brain injury or CTE whatever it is... Can't that make people start acting whacko? Feel kinda bad for the dude he seems like he's really going off the deep end.

i loved the U and he was such a talented but angry person

    ”Imma ****** soldier!”

I was a soldier... They would've done a lot more than attack your knees playing a highly publicized game... Maybe chopped your head off and sent the video home. But highly publicized nonetheless...

I've been impressed with Josh Allen. I definitely agree that giving him the next start is merited. I wouldn't call the competition over yet.

Josh Allen is the hot topic and Peterman is old news to most people. Without much notice or fanfare Peterman also has had a nice preseason. First they ignore you then they attack you type situation for that guy. If Peterman wasn't doing something right people that don't like him wouldn't feel the need to speak so much. They feel he is a threat to start and he is.

And he is whether we like it or not. Like I said end of the day IDC so long as the best man wins the job. My thing is this staff has made it a big point to say the guys who work the hardest and play the best will get the job... Then keep it that way. If at the end of preseason Peterman legitimately has better numbers than Allen then give the man the start...

Shut up... Like seriously wtf does that mean?

I want Josh Allen to win the job. I'm glad he is pushing for the starting position. Obviously him starting is a sign that the team feels he might be ready. I hope he is.

I just don't think it's fair to discredit Peterman.

He's definitely making a strong case... Not saying he can't. He's played some good ball. He has put the naysayers to rest so far. As a Bills fan I wish him nothing but the best. It's been too long since Jimbo.

LOL whatever dude.  Defend Peterman.  Apprently Pre-season means more than Regular season or playoff games.

I'm not trying to defend Peterman DUDE... What I'm saying is let the competition play out. The best man WILL win. Laterz

    Turd... In before the ban!!!

    Is that a thing still?!?!

Nope... My replies were merged :(

Yes, playing QB in the NFL is hard.  Your point is taken.  Yes Peterman was a rookie last year.  That point is also taken.  Here's my point: That does not excuse him for being terrible.  Bad players should not be coddled and protected, bad players should get benched or cut.  That is why Peterman should not be our starter, he is a bad player.  Not a bad person, not a bad teammate, not a bad leader.  A bad player.  That is my point.

Thus far in the preseason, Peterman is 17-for-20 with 229 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Allen’s numbers are slightly behind Peterman’s: 18-for-32, 176 passing yards, 47 rushing yards with two touchdowns.

I'll just leave that there... It's 2018 not 2017 in case you hadn't noticed...

ahhh so if the statistics don't fit you're agenda then we should disregard it?  Yeah, Peterman's statistics in games he plays is not an indication of him as a player right?  Peterman apologists confuse me.

I'm going to grace you with one explanation... And for the record I firmly believe in McDermotts "the best player will play" philosophy...

Do you not have even the slightest comprehension of how hard it had to have been for Nathan Peterman to be called into the starting line-up when he surely believed my team is in playoff contention for the first time in forever??? Like you have Taylor who's QB'ed this team for x years and he has them ready to maybe go to the playoffs and you have no clue you may start? That maybe he wasn't prepared? That he himself was a rookie that year sitting behind a entrenched veteran? And he goes in and throws 5 picks in a half of football... Then he starts a bad game the next week. So you're going to hold that against him? You ever stop to think he may have learned a lot from that? Maybe stuff Allen has yet to learn?

I'm no Allen homer... IDC who starts. So long as it goes by what this coaching staff has preached to this point. The best man will win the job.

  11. 2 hours ago, mynmisoli said:

Look, they suck.  Im sure they have great leadership qualities and work hard blah blah blah.  They suck though.  Peterman pre determines his throws and gets happy feet under pressure.  Also has the demeanor of a gun slinger just doesn't have any bullets which is is why he throws so many ints.  AJ is just so unspectacular that he should be nothing more than a professional clip board holder.  Please don't put either in unless Allen gets hurt, please.

They sucks but Peterman statistically is playing better ball than Allen and McCarron but ok we will trust your magic 8 ball... Maybe he's less physically gifted but sucking? You're reaching... He's played fine so far this pre season. Let the competition play out.

I just think if you’re so good, you shouldn’t/wouldn’t need to. As much as I dislike Brady in my sour grapes way, he doesn’t trash talk and I respect that.

Oh man... You know how bad that would suck if Brady talked trash? Like Ali was just talking mad crap all the time? Glad he just let's his play do his talking. Still hate him of course...

  13. I have to admit I've convinced myself that keeping all our picks is the right move to make. At 12 I'm running to the podium with Jackson's name on the card... I mean with 6 picks in the top 100 we can hit up QB, WR, LB, OL and have a decent overall roster.

As far as liking Jackson as the pick well imo he is the most athletic QB period. I think if you like Allen with his horrid completion percentage and Pickspatrick like tendencies but love his athleticism you have to like Jackson just a bit. I think his completion percentages are actually decent compared to the other top prospects this year.

The guy has progressed as a "passer" every season. He does have a rocket arm and can easily make deep throws... even with a narrow base and at times without  his feet planted properly. He's stated that he has worked on being a passer first and his improvement over the years backs that up.

As far as his running ability goes he's second to none this year. I know we all have this bad taste after Taylor but the running was actually something I liked IF Taylor would just throw the ball to his open WRs. Take some risks. I doubt Jackson will be as risk averse as Taylor was. If I have a choice between a QB that can only pass well and one who can pass and run well... I'm taking the dual threat. I'm not going to let Taylor's inability to throw the ball when he could sour me on Jackson. As far as concerns about him getting hit and injired that's kind of laughable with the rules in place and the new no helmet deal this season. Plenty of QBs have been ended standing in the pocket. It's football it happens.

Michael Vick has stated Jackson is better than he was in college. I think that's something that shouldn't be shrugged off. Remember Vick when he was in his prime? From what I've seen of him he is very similar to Vick. Flicks his wrist and the ball zips through the air... Can make defenders look silly when he runs with it. Vick was one of those generational talents. If I could get a Vick at 12 and retain my other picks to bolster the roster with top 100 talent... I'd be all over it.

Now the worries... I think he is going to need to work his brain off to be a franchise QB. If Jackson can put in the work on film and the playbook he has all the athletic tools and talent to be the best QB in this draft. My worry is that because he is so physically gifted he will slack off on the film. Slack on preparation. That is what makes QBs great imo. The film and bookwork. He needs some mechanics work too. The narrow base and stuff. That shows me he is used to using his athleticism as a crutch. Vick slacked on his "homework" but did alright... On the other hand Manziel has stated he was not about Xs and Os and we see where he's at.

I think Jackson can be a damn good QB if he puts his brain to it. Physically he has all the tools he needs and then some. He just can't rely solely on his athleticism he's gotta put in the mental work. So if he's not doing good at the white board in these interviews that's a big red flag.

I started this off season being a Rosen or nothing guy but if we have to trade away these prime picks for him with the state of the WRs and OL it leaves me feeling worried. I mean 6 picks between rounds 1-3 can be a haul of talent for a roster that needs it across multiple areas. One of these QBs will fall to 12. Happens all the time.

Imo Rosen is the only QB worth moving up for... If he's gone I sit Pat at 12 and get the next highest rated QB on my board. If that's a pool that includes Jackson I take him and build the best roster I can with my other 5 top 100 picks.

Yup.  Been saying this is the last year for Tommy Boy and Bellychick (and The Cretin).  McD spurning the Colts for a HC gig means he was promised the Cheaters job soon.  And if they draft a QB in the 1st round, it tells me Tommy Boy's gone after the season as well.

Yeah it's coming... Too much has transpired. Kraft telling Coach Hey you trade Jimmy bc I have faith in Tom. Garrapalo goes to SF for peanuts and lights up his 5 starts theres. Then Belichek sits Butler out of the SB totally LAST minute. You have McDaniels supposedly going to a HC gig then flaking on Indy. You have Belichek trying to help his assistants get gigs elsewhere... Then Belichek banning Brady and Gronks trainer guru from the facility... Brady in video sneaking around the facility to have a session with the guy. Then Kraft having a presser saying basically well I messed up having Bill trade Jimmy but hey I realize that now and once again I have full faith in Bill to get us a heir to Brady bc umm well we need one now... There's smoke in NE... It could be a big conspiracy theory but I doubt it.

Whaley?  I am not sure he is polarizing. It seems to me that consensus is that he was not all that good for the team even though I think everyone wanted him to be.  The same could be said for Rex Ryan.

    BadLands

Flutie was not the cause of the curse. Wade Phillips was the cause of the curse.  Flutie did not bench himself!

I think old man Ralph forced Wade to bench Flutie... fwiw

  16. Brady is not going to groom anyone to replace him. I honestly believe there are serious issues between Belichek, Brady and Kraft after the Garrapalo trade... Brady and Bill are in a power struggle to see who gets the credit for this dynasty before it collapses....

Pretty sure McDaniels didn't back out of a HC gig with Indy and blacklist himself without having a belief he would end up NE next HC either... Things are getting ready to change over there in NE. Someone is going to go be it Belichek or Brady. They aren't riding off into the sunset together.
