Gabe Davis is a problem. I won’t repeat what others have been saying for weeks now but your #2 cannot just disappear like that. I don’t care about how his bulk stats stack up, the inconsistency is a problem. Give me a boring but nearly guaranteed 6 catches for 54 yards Jarvis Landry style, Josh has no reliable outlet right now

I have my receipts from the beginning of the season, the bills will not win a SB with Davis as the #2. McD let's his heart get in the way leaving Davis as the #2, I dont care if Davis is the hardest worker on the face of the earth, hes a good to great wr3 and he has done nothing but show that in his career.

Yeah but the same problem would exist if bringing a new WR.  To me it's even worse as both the QB and the WR need to learn from each other and that takes time and practice which today's NFLPA rules doesn't allow for much of that.  At this point in season, I'd think they'd be further ahead in making the fast ball, faster by using more Kincaid, Harty, Shakir, and Sherfield.  If you're going for a big trade I'd rather see them go for a guy like a Surtan at CB

Surtain would be a dream landing but I wouldn't want to even imagine what it would take to trade for him. Cuz epenesa and a 1st wouldn't even bring the broncos to the table.

LOL I think the Bills have much bigger problems than WR2 right now.  3 weeks ago, maybe, now CB and LB are way ahead of a luxury pick.

Depends on how you look at the rest of the season for the bills.

Milano was so good and so important to the bills that's why I'd say wr2 is more important for this season.

There's such few, and maybe no LBs in the NFL that could be traded for, come in, learn the system and play like Milano.

CB is a need, but mcd has consistently shown he's comfortable with his in house guys, and they just spent capitol on Elam.

Now for the rest of the season I'd argue the path for the bills to win a SB with this many bad injuries on defense is for the fast ball to get faster, not to bandaid the defense. Davis has had a solid stat line this season, but his route tree is very limited, his bad drops continue, and he hasn't been a game changer since the chiefs playoff game. He feasts on defenses when they have to pay attention to diggs.

A true WR2 or WR1B that draws attention from diggs, Knox, Kincaid, davis, would open up alot of doors for Allen. If the bills could cause a shoot out with other elite teams, the bills still have elite pass rushers that can get home.

At least 3 of those 3rd downs were not converted because of dropped passes.  What the hell was Allen supposed to do about that?  And if they convert those it's 8 out of 12 conversions which is 67% and quite good.

Last year, Gabe had 2 massive drops that led to 2 close losses, and cost the #1 seed. Today was not solely on Gabe, but man it sucks to see another close game lost where Gabe had another big drop. There were a few costly drops today by other players. But I've had it with the Davis drops, it's more than an issue at this point.

  5. I said it at the beginning of the year, bills won't win a Superbowl with Gabe as thier #2, unless Kincaid blows up as the #2, the bills will never be a championship team with davis as #2.

The bills lost 2 games last year because of Gabe Davis drops, flat out lost because of his drops. And today I wouldn’t say the bills lost solely because of his drop today but that was a HUGE momentum killer.

If the Davis and Knox drops were a problem last year, what are we calling them now?

It's a serious issue that Continues

  6. Agree with this write up. Especially the RB room, I said after the jets game that we will see more RB committee. And I think we will see it even more next week.

I was at the titans game last year and saw Henry next to josh and didn't think Henry looked as massive as I expected. But I made it to this game, and Murray is an absolute monster of a human being. He just looks intimidating lining up in the backfield.

Also depends how u raise the horse how u nurture the horse. Seems to me like the horse lost his trainer and now needs a new one.

Possibly, but he's a professional athlete that's been in the league 6 years. Dorsey can't physically walk on the field and point to the open recievers for him. The plays were called the recievers got open, josh didn't execute plain and simple.

  8. Watched the painful game again and my take aways:

Those calling for Dorsey’s head because of play calling alone need to watch Kincaid and Knox across the middle all night. It was there, josh had easy completions right infront of him dialed up by dorsey but josh refused the middle of the field.

Dorsey had some bone head calls but this loss was not even close to his fault.

Cook looked good, but I think Harris is going to get more work as a down hill runner, it showed that's not cooks game. I think we see more time share.

The jets had all off season to plan for josh and it showed, they baited him in every possible faucet of the game. Even baiting him into scrambles up the middle just to have a LB fake blitz then delay and float across the middle to catch josh trying to leak through. And we saw how the safeties owned josh all night.

Josh bailed out of the pocket instantly all night, making life hell for his line. Brown had bone head plays but josh made things unnecessarily hard on his line last night.

Summary: jets had all off season to study josh, knew his tendencies and weaknesses like all division opponents, baited him and josh fell for it all night. And I think it got in joshs head after the first pick knowing he was falling for it and things snowballed from there and hero ball ensued. Hopefully things go up from here.

At no point last night did I think our biggest problem was RB. To answer question, I think it’s a dumb idea.

RB was not the problem. Cook looked good, hes not breece hall and he didnt need to be last night. Spending draft capitol/money on an RB is probably the worst thing beane could do right now.

  10. Kind of nice having media being honest. I'm the biggest JA fan around, but there needs to be a conversation had between coaches and him. I have no idea how josh is treated by the coaches behind closed doors but I hope he's not being treated like a God. He was given the keys to the franchise, and he lost the game and let his teammates down playing completely undisciplined.

What would have you have hid him do differently? The bills punted just twice I think? And Allen was responsible I think for 4 of the sacks he took

Dorsey was far from the problem tonight.

    To wit:

Against what might be the best D in the league

    - Spencer Brown may played his best game as a pro

    - In general they contained Quinnen Williams and the best defensive front in football

    - most of the pressure Josh got, was either coverage or him scrambling into it

    - The Bills pass rush was phenomenal

    - In general the Bills secondary was about as good as you’d want

    - 47 is GOOD good

    - Bills WRs had a decent game against a real good secondary

    - Cook had some successs against an elite front

So Allen at time played worse than Zach Wilson out there. There is absolutely no way Allen is going to play that poorly again this season. Just not gonna happen

If Allen even has an average game with just 2 TOs, bills win this by 2 scores

Agree with alot of your points

Not enough people talking about how Allen made his line look bad tonight. Spencer had bone head plays, but Josh made browns and the rest of the O lines life hell tonight.

I'd say overall I actually really liked what I saw from the rest of the team at times. It's just unfortunate Josh had a horrendous game and gave the jets a win on a silver platter. Hopefully we don't see it again.
