The dudes out of shape and a bit of a lard ass...............i'd be surprised if he's on our roster any time soon.
Hello Sammy?
-
Lol.... he said what pretty much ALL traded players would say. Moreover, he ain't lying! He is wanted.
-
Kelvin - 6'5
Jordan - 6'3
Zay - 6'2
Clay - 6'2
Compare that to years past Sammy (6'1), Woods (6'0), and Goodwin (5'9) running around out there (obviously Clay is out there last year too).
Also, O'Leary is 6'3 and the other WRs are over 6 feet except for Deonte Thompson (who is 6'0).
Don't forget Logan Thomas at 6'6"!

I hope he doesnt play and gets extended time to rest, recover, and learn the playbook.

Well... I am not screaming for joy from the rooftops for this trade. However, this post has many flaws in it. Correlation is not causation. The year the Panther's did well WITHOUT KB is the same year that Carolina had their best offensive line performance and Cam had a lot of time to throw. Another point is that the Panther's were NOT losing him after this year - they gave him his 5th year rookie tender. Finally, Cam would gush on and on about KB more than any other of his receivers. Just my 2cps.I did not read the entire thread, so excuse me if I repeat a thought, but I am sure that you all will torch me for the last part of my epiphany.
They were going to lose him at the end of the season--not worth the second contract. KB would demand a $55m contract. Not getting that here.
Now the part that will get me some turds:
1. He reported to camp a bit overweight. Some of you pointed out that he got in shape by the beginning of the season. The offseason is to get better--not to get fat. KB should have been tweaking his game, not dieting and running sprints
2. Cam is better without KB. Yes--I said it. in 2015, Cam spread the ball around nicely. I forget our record that year (sarcasm), but the team underperformed the year before and the year after. Hmmm.
3. Our offense is a dud. KB is not getting open. He is running bad routes and is not hard to cover with 1 player.
Watch--our offense will open up with him gone. Trust me--addition by subtraction. NOT because KB sucks, but because he does not make others better. Our offense is slow and lumbering. KB had 8 games left and would be gone anyway. Funchess has been better, so...
A third rounder is not a bad trade---we got Olsen for a third rounder.
Folks--our offensive woes were not all OL--that is what you see on TV...Our big WRs are not getting open. I am not distraught about this--sorry.

We laugh...but the Bills have had long periods of incompetence that resemble this...
I am not being a homer.... BUT we have never been that incompetent. I can recall nothing in the last 30 years that remotely resembles this. We have made bad choices... what the Browns did was pure negligence.
-
it surprised me, too. But they said I'm intelligent
I think you have confused "you are ahead of me on the bell curve" with "you will give me head with your balls curved"
-
nice big target with great hands! nice pick up
Hmmmm.... DOES he have great hands?
-
Bring him back, draft a QB in the 1st.

Still amazes me. With McBeanne knowing him well (injury, attitude, etc), I feel better about the trade.
-
Wow the Panther's boards are blowing up with negativity about this.... fine by me!
-
And.... toss in EJ Gaines. This is certainly a plus. Also, we can still gain another 3rd as a comp pick if needed by dropping a few players before week 10.A 3rd? Not sure how I feel about that.
Basically gave up Sammy for Kelvin, acquired a 2nd for a 3rd.
Is that a good deal?
-
Exactly. The only similarity is the W-L record. But BBFS is hard to overcome for many.
Okay.... I will be THAT guy - what does BBFS mean? I have been reading this forums for years I and I am unsure what the acronym stands for.
-
If Im Garoppolo, why am I signing with them? He will make more money with teams bidding against each other and then pick his destination.
The 49s have tags galore to keep him in San Fran for a few years IF they want to.
I really dont see the advantage of the 49ers giving up a second for him.
-
But no, the Bills can't get high picks for players. Meanwhile teams are throwing around 2nd round picks.
We got a second as well this year for a player.... in case you don't read much or follow the team closely. Google Sammy Watkins to the Rams. You may learn something
-
Too funny....glad we have him. I like a little nasty on our offensive line.
-
Uggg was so hoping Detroit would win - especially at home - vs the steelers!
-
The announcers thought a fight broke out! Lol
Took them 5 seconds to realize what was happening..
A special, unique sight you rarely see nowadays for a 1st down.
Sights like that show me just how bought in and close this team is, show me how much they truly care about the game and one another. That's a Champion trait imo
I was at the game and thought the same thing. I didnt know what happened until I got back to the parking lot after the game.
-
Its not luck that we are getting these turnovers (im my opinion)
Well... it is sort of both imo. They are well-coached in the fundamentals of stripping/pinching at the ball. I notice the Bills doing it most plays. The luck comes in that it comes out and bounces into our hands. We DO feast on turnovers though!

Dareus arrives in J'ville with an overstuffed wallet.........would be a bad move to test Coughlin or Marrone though......
He HAS tested Marrone several times as shown by Marrone fining Dareus as well as benching him for a game - all for the same garbage he did this year and previous years to Marrone.

SaviorPeterman: I can write the worst takes on TSW
BigDingus: Hold my beer
LOL nice!

Is he a bust? Did I miss something?
Wondering the same thing.

Thanks guys, I've been working out again. Lost over 30 lbs. A friend just passed away a couple days ago and really hit me hard. Just seems I'm losing everyone I love. I'm just taking it moment by moment and day by day.
A TON of good advice on here. You working out goes a long way to help alleviate depression. I tell my patients to start off their plan to recovery with 1 eat well 2 sleep well 3 exercise and 4 connect. Stay strong and understand your mind can be your biggest enemy as well as your biggest support.

12 pages and no one has mentioned how these Beane wins are going to set this franchise back a decade? What is wrong with you people?
