There is another universe where we held on in that game, and Beane took a different approach to the offseason because of it.

A loss like that can either ruin a team, or make it one of the best ever. Fortunately, we have a GM who treated it as a challenge.  Everything that hurt the Bills in that game and in general has been addressed.  Beane has made a guarantee with every offseason move:  that will not happen again.

The D-line is better, our pass rush is better, our secondary is better, our running game is better, our pass protection is better, our passing game is better.  And yes, our punting and special teams, too.

You can't remove doubt, but you can minimize it.

13 seconds won't be wide right, or the MCM. Those were exclusively pain.  13 seconds will be remembered fondly as when it really began.

Oy, enough with the 13 seconds, already.  I almost wish we had an Omega 13 to help change the outcome so people would stop lamenting ad nauseum.

  2. I'm going with Mike Williams only because the expectation for him was so high based on his college tape.  Maybin sucked but he was a one year wonder at Penn so I'm not surprised he face-planted in the NFL but Williams was expected to be a fixture on the O-line for 10+ years.

Someone I know in media just tipped me off that the Bills are supposedly playing the Noon game on Thanksgiving in Detroit.

They got a heads up today about it at the TV network he works at in Detroit.

As with anything, take it for what it’s worth though.

Did you get this information from a source deep in the media organization?

Yes 2 on 24 kick returns - so a rate of over 8% of kick off returns he fumbled last year.

You combine that with his 6 fumbles as a rookie and 4 more the next year - almost all on special teams and perhaps there is an issue.

It was an issue that cost him his job in Denver and got him benched with miscues last year.

I would much prefer to let him focus on being a WR and find someone else that can handle the special teams aspect with fewer issues.

Or maybe, they can use him on kick returns by having someone lateral the ball to him.  Kind of like a homerun throwback, if you will.

    Still too soon?
