    1. We should have protected Hodgins.

    2. Dorsey is the problem on offense. He's didn't put his players in a position to succeed and Hines was woefully under utilized.

    3. Ed Oliver is undersized and should not be in the middle of the D-line.

    4. We needed more out of our MLB than Edmonds, especially at the cost. Sign Bobby Wagner.

    1. eh it happens.

    2. Dorsey drew up play that had receivers running routes where they ended up in the same spot or next to each other. Both being covered. They were terrible. We hardly ever saw a WR wide up inside the 20, like we did with Diaboll.

    3. OK player, not the all pro we needed.

    4. Wagner resigned with LA.

I sort of build a different FA need vs. Draft need list.

FA needs for me... fill basic roster needs where upgrades are needed as the first criteria.

I prioritize DRAFT needs with the positional age (players who will be 30 years old+ in September) of the current roster (and whether they are starters or not).

I also prioritize DRAFT needs where there are certain players lost via FA that have not been adequately replaced.

    This season:

#1 need:  MLB, since Tremaine Edmunds was not replaced via FA.

Other needs (in no particular order: These are starters over the age of 30, and we need to address need via training the next generation starters.

    -  Center (Morse is over 30, and has had concussion issues)

    -  Safety (Hyde/Poyer are over 30).  Rask eliminates ONE of these needs but we need to find another young option to train and I'm not sure we have the next man up on the roster currently.

    -  Defensive Tackle (Jones is over 30).  I still see this as a LOWER need since the positional group is fairly strong.  A late round pick will suffice.

    -  Tackle (Dawkins).  I'd put OT as the NUMBER 2 need right now since we're also not all that thrilled with our RT starter.

    -  Wide Receiver (Diggs is over 30).  We addressed WR depth in the FA, and we will see just how much faith Beane has in Davis.  The draft will tell all.

So, now that the FA is shaking out, I'm happy to remove some draft needs and rank them as:

    1.  MLB

    2.  OT

    3.  Tie between S, WR, DT, OC

The GREAT thing is that this year I'd say that all of our 30+ aged players are still playing at a fairly high level!

EXTRA DRAFT NEEDS:  30+ aged backups..... (and I'm not even sure if all of these are even on the current roster....)

    QB Barkley

    DL Bryant

    OL Mancz

    DT Ankou

    DB Neal

    LB Matakevich - signed extension

Barkley is a QB asst. coach at this point. He might not make it out of camp this year. Unless Josh wants him to stay.

We have zero DT's signed passed this year. They will draft some.

  3. He still has better numbers than last year. The problem was us thinking he would start catching everything throw to him because of last years playoffs. He's a #3 not a  #2. The mistake was not bringing in a true #2, And have a good problem if Davis did work out.

  4. There was likely a 50/50 chance of them getting it with Buffalo losing to the Bengals. But it sucks something awful that they the Bills and Bengals were not given the chance to finish the game. That was the only true fair solution. But it would have cost the NFL too much to push the games around. It is sad!

And F no they don't deserve it. Although they did their part by winning their last 2 games. But to get it basically by default sucks balls.

Bills fans show up in KC.  It’s been speculated that Indianapolis is neutral sight.  Indy is almost exactly halfway between KC and Buffalo.  Once tickets are on sale- Bills Mafia will be scooping them up.  Sure KC will.  But my $ is always on Bills Mafia!

    Indy declined to host it.

Thanks - that's the one part of the outcome I've struggled to get my head round!

Yes, No Problem. It's so odd. They really should have just done the only real fair solution and resumed the game at some point either this weekend of next. But as the NFL does, money comes first.

All along I said KC can have the 1, but the AFCCG should be in Buffalo (if they win Sunday).

The 1 seed comes along with home field throughout. So this situation would never happen. Why would Buffalo get to host when they lost the 1 seed. Another reason the 1 seed is such a big advantage.

I wouldn't mind if they took into account head to head or win% to determine who host each playoff game. That seems like a way for each team to fairly have an advantage.

As it stands instead of the bye and hosting home throughout. We host until we loss, or until we play the Chiefs or Bengals at a neutral site. Bills got screwed no fault of their own. And I say that, being total ok if the Bills had forfeited the game after the injury, if the NFL said play of forfeit. At least that would have been by their choice.

I was in favor of a coin flip to determine the outcome of the game. Then no other changes would be required.

Nobody could say it wasn’t fair, because it is sort of the definition of fair. Plus that game was a 50/50 toss up anyway.

But who gets the call the flip? Do we have a coin flip to determine who?! It's not any fairer than what they did. Especially when they have the option to resume the game. That is the only fair solution.

I’m not too sharp, but based on that chart doesn’t KC stand the most to lose? They have a greater chance at the 1 seed (which they’d mathematically own) and an equal chance, with the Bills, at hosting the AFC title game. So the league is favoring KC’s 1, and giving love to the Bills if they get to the tile game.

All along I said KC can have the 1, but the AFCCG should be in Buffalo (if they win Sunday).

I think the big thing is the bye. We could have used it just for injury healing. And game planning. Now would have been to just get their minds right. The Bills still have a good shot at the whole show. It was more likely we would have lost the Bengals game and lost the 1 seed. But sucks we didn't get the chance to find out. There was plenty of time left in that game for anything to happen. But I'm glad the NFL realized that it had to makes some concessions towards fairness with a neutral site. But they certainly could have pushed this week or let the game resume next week. Yes, some logistics were involved, so it came down to cost, instead of what was most fair.
