I don't think it's all on Josh's "comfort level".  A lot of the job of the center is between the ears, and I think Feliciano >> Bates there.

    He's also much fiercer.

    This ^.

I think I saw a breakdown between Cover1 and Eric Wood. Wood explained that sometimes QBs call protections or the center would. He said in his case, he was calling the protections at the line for Tyrod.

And I think that's the case here, I haven't read anywhere where Josh has had line protection call duties (maybe it could be shared idk). Seems to me Mitch Morse handled those duties and Feliciano is probably more versed than Bates.

The Bills org has been tight lipped since it seems the Beane administration has taken place.  Why, all of a sudden, is there loose lips?

I guess I just find this way too convenient considering the D line play has been so bad, us peons can recognize it on our TVs. Like, I'm sure Beane is doing his due diligence and seeing if there's trade candidates etc, he's shown he has done this in past trades. I'd probably believe you more if our D line play wasn't so painfully obvious bad.

Edit: Just in case I wasn't clear enough: I'd believe you more that you have sources if your trade talks weren't so convenient. As I'm sure most people on this board can speculate that Beane is on the phones about D lineman, at this point.

Has to be the honorary missed field goal, if they fall behind.

You know me, Mr. Positive. But I have a bad feeling as well. You've got Darnold back and the Bills defense in shambles. You also have Allen with two (not bad but) shaky performances in a row. I also hate games where we expect to win. We are going to have to grind out a win.

Yepp, with all the injuries the Bills have and they can't make any game easy.

I just have 0 confidence in this defense.

Anyone who wants to continue to say Edmunds isnt a massive problem is so clouded by wanting to be right about him that they no longer live in reality.

Used to be that way until this year. He's had plenty of time. Good/great players find ways to be good/great in spite of their team. Kind of like that lone bright spot you can see as someone to build your team around.  No matter what people say, I don't see it. I don't see Tremaine being good in spite of others around him supposedly being a detriment. Milano is good in spite of the team or others around him.

Dude do you know how many bad games Kelly had?? There were times I literally couldn’t stand Kelly. One game he was 3-30 for 110 yards against the Panthers led by Frank Reich, other times he was 8-20 for 88 yards against the jets back in 94 I believe but I could be wrong. Every QB has bad games here and there he’ll Elway wasn’t perfect neither was Marino.

That's why I said I give good players passes when they have bad games, and mentioned Josh as one of those players.

As much as I am an Allen Believer. He didn’t help.

but it is a team game and eventually the Defense has to MAKE A PLAY when offense is struggling after all the Offense has covered for you all season

Same. Josh didn't have a good game, by a longshot. But certain players who are good I give passes. Josh should be allowed to not have an MVP performance without being hung out to dry. (Needs to play better than this though, obviously).

Stefon Diggs, John Brown, Cole Beasley are allowed to drop a ball here and there.

Tre White is allowed to give up a chunk play every once in awhile. Matt Milano is allowed to miss a tackle here and there.

The problem is the drop off between our good players and that next level.  They're forcing our good players to be excellent every game, which isn't practical nor sustainable.

    IMO

  8. preface: I like McD

    but.....

For someone who preaches DNA, accountability, process, etc etc.

It's the Bills who have had trouble tackling the past three years. It's the Bills who seem to get a bunch of penalties that other teams simply don't get called for as much. It's our players not maintaining their gaps. It's our receivers who seem to have more drops than anyone else. It's our team who seemingly can _never_ control the line of scrimmage.

For all the process talk and "fundamentals", it seems like it's always those things that kill us. IMO
