Chillax a bit. Beasley failed to catch a low throw in the first NE game in 2019 resulting in a deflection for a pick-6. It happens.
McKenzie isn't a perfect slot receiver; he's developing, he got better last year, now we see if he took another step. If he were a great developed receiver, he wouldn't be playing for just over vet minimum on a 1 yr contract. Don't BBQ the guy for one missed catch

I feel like Miami isn't as good as their record indicated. The Rams game was a great Defensive effort, probably same for the 49ers. but 4 big defensive games against NYJx2, Cincy backup qb, and Jags really lowered that PPG allowed. 6th in points allowed after the bills beatdown week 17, but i think the 20th in yards shows them as a bit more of a mediocre unit.
They also benefited from a lot of turnovers. You can't count on consistently generating turnovers week to week. Plus, who knows what is going to happen with the Xavien Howard situation

13-14 wins in the regular season.
Appearance in the AFC championship for the season to be considered a success
Yes, they can win the super bowl.
I think the Bills and Chiefs are top 2 league-wide, so long as the Chiefs OL problems are actually sorted out. If the Bills and Chiefs are as good as they are expected to be, the real Superbowl will be the AFC championship game

Sorry man but Edmunds is MUCH more than JAG......you are one of the haters - I get it - but good gawd man the kid is WAY more than JAG......way way more
I don't know where the attitude is coming from, you just asked why people expect more from him. I gave an answer. Expectations come with the team trading up for you. It's just a fact - it's not a statement of whether I think he is an effective player or not.

Didn't they advance him some money so they had to pay him less this year?

For the life of me I will never understand the hate this guy gets from the board.......never.
Whether fair or not, expectations are higher than JAG status when the team trades up in the first round to select you.

Not the topic but.... Honestly, I'd take Pettiness over Frazier. Pettiness attacks, Frazier is defensively defensive. Good when you're playing Baltimore, not do much vs. everybody else. Half the time, you don't know what Frazier is asking his defense to do, so it is hard to criticize the players. I know I've seen Tremaine "waiting" for the runner to hit the LOS before engaging. This is heat he is told to do and as fans it is hard to see and fathom. Frazier keeps the ball in front of his defense where Pettine goes and gets the ball. Frazier becomes far more aggressive in some playoff games but some not do much.
Everybody is waiting for Ed to take off but the fact remains, Kyle did not shoot the gap In Frazier's defense and unless it's a playoff game, I doubt Ed does either. I think Frazier values negative plays less than most. I think he thinks he can stop scoring plays and that is really all that counts (but his success is very debatable). Does he have only average players or does his defense make all defenders average? I'm not sure of this but I know Frazier is not an aggressive DC by any means.
Agree. With the offense being as good as it is, Pettine's style of attacking D is (arguably) a better fit. Frazier/McD like to slow the game down with the bend but don't break strategy, but causing turnovers or 3-and-outs is even more of a benefit when your offense is as good as ours is. I suspect Frazier and McD know this though, and thus they have drafted a bunch of d-linemen to try to more aggressively pressure/cause turnovers.

the author clearly doesn't watch bills game. look, i'm not saying edmunds is bad, but i am saying that considering him even as a candidate for defensive player of the year is bonkers.

Would I swap player for player Allen for Mahomes with no stipulations? Yes. While I think Allen is an AMAZING player and is going to continue to improve, I would still trade him 1:1 for Mahomes in a heartbeat. Mahomes is still young and is already penciled in as one of the best all time to play the position. I could even see making an argument that if he retired this year he would still be a HOF worth QB. Allen, I think/hope, will get to Mahomes level (or maybe exceed?), but Mahomes is already there.
Would I swap player for player (Allen for Mahomes) with the stipulations in the OP (player for play, each plays same position, both have to be starters)? No. Allen is an amazing player already (top 5 QB) and you could upgrade the team more by swapping for an All-pro at a position of weakness (i.e. a d-lineman such as Aaron Donald or a pass rusher such as TJ Watt)

Allen - this was obvious
Edmunds - it seemed likely. if you go solely based off his play, he probably doesn't deserve to be paid a top salary (what is the fifth year option for him? he was picked outside of the top 10, so i think it's an average of like the top 30 players at his position or something like that?). but it's only for one year and it's a good faith move with Edmunds. i see it as an indicator that the team wants him going forward, but it is in no way an indication that they want to pay him more than he is worth on his next contract. wait and see how he performs this year and then make a suitable contract offer next year

The real question is does Zach Wilson become Josh's best friend now?

The reference that would support your view is this:
https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/SmitLe00/penalties
However, it's worth pointing out that Smith drew 0 penalties in 2020. This despite playing >25% of the snaps (up to 41%) in the last 6 games.
He also drew no penalties in 2019 after the Cleveland game where McDermott called him out saying "he's got to get locked in" - again, while taking 20% or more (up to 48%) of the snaps in 3 games.
Yes, the penalties is section is relevant, but I linked the main one b/c it contains snap counts. Everyone knows he commits a lot of penalties.
And yeah, it is a relevant point that he didn't commit any penalties in 2020. However, I find it hard to believe that suddenly he has fixed his sloppiness how many years later. It certainly is possible, but I'm more likely to believe that he still has the same issues and 2020 is an aberration

Smith is an easy target for fans because he doesn’t make many eye opening plays, those same fans keeping harping on how important Star is.
Smith played a similar role on offense for the Bills as Star does on D.
I think he is easily replaceable but he had a did have a good season. The only time he bothered me was when he was getting flags. I’d like to see some 2020 stats with Smith on the field vs. Smith off the field.
Smith is an easy target because for the amount of time he actually plays, he commits an atrocious amount of penalties. Look at his snap share.. he plays like 15% of plays but yearly has more penalties than 95% of the team. I just don't get what the draw is for a player that commits penalties at such a rate

Maybe it's just me, but I feel like moving up for anything BUT a QB in the first or second is just flat out not worth it. Since we have our QB, i'm quite content to stay where we are or trade down.
Never mind moving all the way up from 30

Dea and Dean? What were the parents thinking?! 😅
When I read Dea I honestly thought it was a typo. Nope, turns out it is the sister's actual name

would really be a shame to lose him. we're looking to add playmakers, not lose them

I feel like since Brady has departed.. we've been hearing more and more about players not wanting to go to NE. Prob because Belichick is a difficult coach to play for combined with the fact that they are no longer perennial SB favorites. Other than that.. I'll echo some of the other teams people have mentioned: Cinci, Detroit, and the 2 new jersey teams. But those teams are mainly just not preferred b/c of instability and inability to win. As soon as they start improving, people will want to go there again

I miss old Foghorn Leghorn...for the quotes not the transactions. Talking down about the Raiders at your introductory press conference really ranks up there.
Even if he did draft CJ Spiller with his first draft pick.
Gotta have someone at the most essential position on the team: waterbug

He may want to be "the guy" somewhere, since he has always had to share duties in Denver. While I agree with everyone that he would be a great addition, but I doubt he wants to come here knowing that there are 2 other RBs who will also be getting the ball

I agree with the "I'd love to have him back" people, mainly because he would be management's problem. Make those suits earn their money 😅

Found this gem when i googled the guy:
https://atozsportsnashville.com/tennessee-titans-isaiah-wilson/
"Per sources, Wilson had begun to sour on his situation in Tennessee after not receiving a customary birthday message from the team via their social media accounts earlier this month. Wilson turned 22 on February 12."

The DL was admittedly bad last year. Thus, my hope is to see improvement. We have a bunch of younger players that should be ready to make significant contributions this year plus the return of everyone's favorite space eater (⭐)
