You don't know what his development would've been like with another team. Chicago just like the Jets had idiots running the show. Better coaching and acquisitions might've made a big difference for Trubisky and Darnold for that matter. I think many take for granted just how fortunate Josh was to land on a team with a staff that has competence and vision.

That might be a little harsh. Understand that many teams have established starters at the QB position and others have developing prospects like Tua, Herbert and Burrow and Hurts. Bringing in an established vet could quickly mess with the mind set of a young QB trying to solidify a QB1 spot and set back their development. Look what happened with Tua and Fitz. Fitz in the wings had Tua looking over his shoulder. You really think Trubisky couldn't start for the Jets, Miami, WFT, Phi or Carolina? Shoot, you don't think he can start for Chicago? 😅Tough spot for him to be in.

Chances are they'll be elsewhere next season. Maybe not together but you never know. Daboll is definitely going to get a gig with some team. His schemes are absolutely artful and he seems to only to be getting better.

Hollister and Kumerow came in with that's 80s glam rock hair and Rocked us like a Hurricane and secured roster spots. McKenzie proved he's so much more than a gadget player. D line looks much improved as it continues to get consistent pressure on the QB. So pumped for this group. Daboll continues to draw up exquisite pass patterns that seem almost indefensible. Also the screen game looks to be more prevalent this year. Look for the running game to take a big step forward.

Can almost guarantee the Pats pick him up if he's cut.

Having Jackson and Prescott in front of Josh is a criminal offense. Teams have already caught up on how to scheme for Jackson defensively and Prescott is the king of Garbage time stats.

This topic has been beat to death. The front office obviously feels good about what's in place because the time to improve that position was in the off season during FA. There were plenty of UFA CB's this year that would have improved our situation dramatically. William Jackson Shaquill griffin Janoris Jenkins Kyle Fuller Patrick Peterson Richard Sherman Xavier Rhodes Malcolm Butler Steven Nelson Casey Hayward.......... just to name a few. I know some were out of the price range, but many were doable. I like Sanders but did we really need to drop 7 mil. on another WR when we are so deep and Davis showing so much promise last year? I can see your point in the sense that he never really displayed anything to instill hope as a franchise QB. Mostly all rookie QB prospects are going to struggle, even the greats. But what are you showing us as you take your lumps? Are you leaping 8 yds over LB's for a 1st down? (Minn) Are you throwing TD bombs while buried under a pile of defenders? (Jax) Are you rushing for 100 yards making defenders look helpless to stop you? (Mia). Displays like that inspire coaches and players to build around and play hard for you. Rosen never showed Arizona or Miami that IT factor that ensures a team made the right choice.

I may be in the minority here but I actually feel kinda bad for the kid. Like Darnold I feel he didn't get the commitment to develop and build around them from the team that drafted them. Bad Night for... Cornerback depth - Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. We have a problem. ---------------------- Though many may not want to hear it, I've been saying it for awhile now. The difference between this team making the playoffs and this team hoisting a Lombardi is the cornerback depth behind Tre. We don't have enough to slow down the top passing offenses in the league.
