Source says there is no truth to unsubstantiated Twitter rumor that QB Matt Moore is visiting the Bills this week.

Thank god.  Signing Moore is just as bad as signing Thigpen was.

    This probably came from:

"The bills are going to bring in more QBs this week."

    "Moore at QB?"

    "Yes! More QBs!"

*rushes to twitter* "Bills bringing in QB Moore this week!"

You are so fricken dense....should I really take the time to explain this to you?

There are 4-5 good qbs in this draft.

Plan A should be Rosen or Mayfield

Plan A might not be feasible

    We need a QB

So move to the next tier which is still good qbs (Jackson)

Jackson can probably be had with ONE of our 1st round picks.....this team has other needs as well...they are STILL addressing the QB position with a talent promising QB

Why is this so hard to understand.....should I explain it again?  Yes I have a agenda...i want to IMPROVE THE TEAM....and there is more then one way to do that as long as they take a QB.

How about this to try and drill through your thick skull.  If we are unable to aquire Rosen or Mayfield, we have failed at meeting our biggest need.  Period.  At that point instead of wasting our pick on a guy who is much more likely to bust, we might as well get two other guys in the first and grab a guy like Rudolph in the second because he's probably a better option.

    Lotto numbers too please

A ultra productive passing td athlete I guess

So let me get this straight.  You're the only one allowed to "have an agenda" when posting?  Also, please explain to me why you are so okay with getting the afterthought quarterback in this draft, when we clearly put ourselves in a position to trade up for one of the top guys this year.

Are you having trouble with reading......I said MORTGAGING FUTURE DRAFT PICKS

Give me Rosen or Mayfield with picks in this draft?   Absolutely and that is why we accumulated picks (probably didnt expect to win so much last year) I am talking about AFTER this year......I dont want to be giving up 3 number 1's when i can get a beast like Lamar Jackson at 21.

If the picks are in this years draft?  Sign me up.

Do you think the Eagles fans or the Texans fans are complaining about trading up to get their guy?  What about the Chiefs?  I'm pretty sure they don't care.

For future reference Jackson isn't a beast he's the booby prize of this draft.

    I cant....you dont know either.

Nobody is saying to trade up to take Lamar Jackson.....he would be a great pick at 21 and not give up draft picks

Something people just cant seem to wrap there mind around....there are 31 other NFL teams.....we sit at 21 and 22.....and there are plenty of QB needy teams that are in front of us in draft selection.

I wouldnt mind Rosen or Mayfield at all....I want a QB in this draft....I do not want to mortgage our future draft picks past this year doing it.

If we don't make a move to trade up in the draft, there was no point in all of the extra picks we aquired over the last year.  None at all.  The whole point of trading away guys like Watkins, and trading back in the draft last year was to get the ammunition that we need to move up and get our guy this year.  Now we are finally getting close to the goal and suddenly people are okay with being the best athlete NOT to podium?  I'm not okay with that.

Which is not even an issue because your claim that Jackson doesnt have a arm is bs.

When all is said and done he is going to be a slightly better Tyrod Taylor, and I doubt he will be a franchise guy that can win championships, unless he can sit for 2-3 years and fall into an ideal situation.  He is not the type of guy I want to have to put the team on his back to win the game.  Drafting him is like going to the Olympics and finishing 4th.  Yeah, the idea sounds nice and all, but you still lost.

Didn't look at 2017, but 2016 had Dak Prescott and Alex Collins - that's pretty good.  In general, any 3rd round comp pick is basically the top pick of the 4th round, which is pretty useful.

Agreed.  If there's a non-qualifying FA who can help about as much as a qualifying FA, that should be taken into consideration.  But a lot of that consideration depends on what picks you might be getting.

Honestly with compensatory picks, if you get them you get them.  If not then don't worry about it.  Just do everything you can to make a competitive team every year.  Don't choose not to make moves because you might get an extra draft pick next year.

really? we have bad weather 8 games a year? I think you should check your facts.

We do have strong wind inside of the stadium 8 times a year because of the way New Era Field was constructed.  The wind has a slight wind tunnel effect, and the fact that the Bowl sits below ground causes it to swirl around at field level.  It's the same reason that you need a kicker with a strong leg on our team as well.

  9. Personally I don't think Jackson has the arm to throw in New Era Field once the weather turns.  The way our stadium is designed any wind is amplified in the bowl.  You need a guy with a bigger arm to throw accurately through the wind.  Just like you need a strong kicker to get the field goals.  There is a reason why there are so many ducks thrown in our stadium, and why so many Great QBs have had really bad days there, and it's not our defense.

I wouldn't. Capable LT's do not grow on trees. We are a bit spoiled because it seems if there is one position we consistently fill well, it's LT. Dawkins is exactly what you want from a draft pick. To realize his true value you keep him and continue to develop him. If they keep Glenn all the better. I would much rather have a Mike White behind a line that has Glenn and Dawkins as bookends rather than Rosen, Mayfield, et al playing behind a line with Mills and god knows who on the other side.

Good QB's with good upside wash out of the NFL far more often than they succeed.  Generally it is because they don't have a good line in front of them or the skill position assets to offset a less than good line.

At worst, we currently have 2 above average LT's on our roster.  I don't see us keeping both of them.  If we have to get rid of the younger option and hold onto Glenn a while longer I'm Okay with that.  Capable RT's aren't as difficult to find, so upgrading on Mills wont be too hard.

  11. You don't get a franchise guy at 21 or 22 this year.  It just doesn't happen.  The bills need to bite the bullet and get their guy.  No more putting it off.  We've been delaying getting a Franchise QB since Kelly left, and where exactly has that gotten us?  In 22 years, we have gotten into the playoffs exactly 3 times.  When was our last playoff victory?  It was in 1995 with Jim Kelly at QB.  We need our next Jim Kelly, and we will not get him by sitting on our thumbs and hoping he falls into our lap.  You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

  12. Honestly, I'd trade anybody on the roster as part of a deal to get Rosen.  QB is the most important piece and we don't have a good one.  Get the QB now then worry about filling other holes.  We get a TON of space on the cap after this year, and have a ton of assets to move in the form of draft picks.  Next year's QB class won't be great.  If we have the opportunity to move up to 2nd overall, I don't care what we need to trade in return.
