I would never clap for an injury to a player...even Brady. A temporary contusion, possibly.

She is probably thinking of college football. Happens all the time. Consider it a teachable moment.?

I will say under but not by a lot. I will also predict that he will be a PIA for opposing QBs.

This is just insane to me. I admit freely, the guy looked like a top 5 QB before he got hurt the first time. But who knows if he’ll ever be back to that form or if that play was an anomaly.
I get it. Someone would have paid him on the open market.
But man, that’s a lot of money for a very small body of work and potential
That is how I see it as well. That is a lot of money for someone with a small resume and may be injury prone.

It's almost like young players can improve with time!
Who woulda thunk it? There were more than a couple of people shouting "BUST" with the first dropped ball.

I posted what Chris Brown said about Zay Jones in another thread:
One such playmaker has been Zay Jones, who made the lion’s share of the plays in the passing game Tuesday.
Allen found the third-year wideout three times during the team portions of practice. The first was a laser on the left side, that Jones managed to paw and control for a 10-yard gain. He later hit Jones running free on a blown coverage at the 10-yard line and Jones had plenty of room to reach the end zone. Finally, in red zone, Allen hit Jones on a short in route for a second TD.

It is looking like the original premise here may be slightly off target. There is obviously a lot of time between now and opening day but here is what Chris Brown just wrote:

They sign a contract saying they would still get the same contract even if they suffer an injury before OTAs
I am only speculating but I would assume that the rookie contract is pretty standard but that the guaranteed money is what would be in jeopardy.

Wait. A 5’7” guy who can’t catch is at TE? That’s a new look.

The reason Spain is not there today

Quinton Spain out after thumb surgery
One of the many new additions to the Bills offensive line will be missing some time due to a thumb injury.
Spain got hurt during one of last week’s practices and had surgery to address the issue. Per multiple reporters, Spain is out indefinitely and the limited time left in the offseason program may mean he won’t be back on the field until the team’s at training camp this summer.
Spain signed with the Bills as a free agent this offseason after starting 48 games for the Titans over the last four years. He was working as the right guard on the first team before his injury.
Word from Bills practice on Tuesday is that Wyatt Teller has taken over the right guard spot with second-round pick Cody Ford at right tackle. Ty Nsekhe has also been working at that spot.
-
I am surprised at the number of unsigned draft picks, knowing that a significant injury can occur, even if not working with the team.
i am very surprised at 7th rounders not signing, knowing that they may not ever end up playing in the NFL.

When will we know if we have won the offseason? Something doesn’t feel right here.?

I believe, if I’m not mistaken, that’s both an old update and also simply posted by a well meaning friend. I wouldn’t hang on every word of it.
Thanks for this. It is on at least 2 Bills boards so I am probably not the only one who interpreted this as a classic hospice referral. I hope it is, in fact, a step on the road to recovery.

It's not surprising how fast rookies sign contracts anymore. There really is not much negotiating. Contracts are pretty much set for draft picks
There must be some wiggle room for negotiations with 3rd rounders.

Some people leave hospice care. It is not, as someone posted earlier, always a last place to receive care, although it can be.
Right. I have a lot of professional and personal experience with hospice and have known quite a few who have left hospice. It is definitely not a decision that is set in stone.

"PANCHO UPDATE: Today (Sunday) I was able to visit with Ezra in the hospital. Contrary to what Ezra and Ronnie wanted, it was a mutual decision to remain in the hospital hospice care. Unfortunately, home hospice wouldn't be 24/7 which is what he needs as his lungs heal.
His spirits are AWESOME as always, Between the medicine he's taking and the machine he's hooked up on, he's getting oxygen to the blood and brain. It's just going to be time before his lungs can heal and then begin his cancer treatment again.
Ezra appreciates all the love and prayers (and the wings & loganberry I brought him today). He also appreciates and welcomes visitors, just please be mindful that he does need to rest."

Cards can be sent to:
UT Southwestern Clements
6201 Harry Hines Blvd
Room 1139
Dallas, TX 75235I am confused. I am very much hoping that there is a path to recovery for Pancho but that is not how hospice is designed. If the belief is that he can recover from his current respiratory issues and resume cancer treatments, then that sounds more like palliative care. Either way, best wishes to the #1 Bills fan.

Here goes:
Devin Singletary will be the starting RB by game 7.
The Bills beat the Patriots not once but twice.
The Bills win the AFC East with an 11-5 record.
Tyree Jackson gets one start in 2019...and wins.

They have zero cap room. And they aren’t in situation like New Orleans where they have a HOF 40 year old QB they can keep kicking the can down the road for.
That changed with the injury to JPP. They don’t have a lot of wiggle room, however.
-
That is just terrific. What a classy move.

Jags with Josh Allen at 7.
Tantalizing close to the Bills. I wonder what Beane would have done if he was there (Oliver vs Allen).
I doubt we will ever know for sure but I think Ed Oliver was their guy the whole time. Great player at a position of great need with the retirement of Kyle.

I think Metcalf at the end of the 2nd round was huge.
i also like the fact that we got Cody Ford at #38.

I don’t typically bet, except for quarter slots, when in Vegas. That said, I would appreciate a PM for a reputable place to bet on the Bills. I am very confident that we will win more than 7 games.
Duke Williams- can he make the team?

It is hard to know at this point with so much competition, and that is great to be able to say. As others have said, the truth will reveal itself when the pads go on. My suspicion is that he will bring a skillset to the table that is different from the rest of the WR corps and that he will make the team.
