  1. A good question is: hypothetically (I know, just go with it) if Brady spent his career in Buffalo and had the numbers he currently does, would this change your opinion of him being or not being the greatest of all time? He'd be a Bill, so you'd love him. I belive it would change my mind. I'd be more passionate about the argument. Some people hate him so much, they won't look at the body of work he's done. They passionately hate him which skews their thinking. I don't know if there is an accurate calculation that can determine who is the best, however in my opinion, he certainly is in the top 5 of all time.

  2. You don’t have to be a football fan to be a Bills fan. I, however, am a football fan. The energy and excitement of the game thrills me. The strategy of every play, every position and every inch energizes me. The dedication of the players to live an unlivable dream intrigues me. The story of the players motivates me and makes me feel a parallel in my life. Every single one of these kids has a story and a dream. Respect to the players that fuel my love for the game of football. Tom Brady included.

All that being said...... I still hate the SOB! Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I hope we kick his A** this year! GO BILLS!

  3. Just a thought but Buddy did say he'd look for a couple of OTs in the draft. And if Glen does happen to be better at guard and cant swing the LT position we can put him at RG, Hairston at LT and Massie at RT. I like Pears but an oline of Hairston, Levitre, Wood, Glenn and Massie would be formidable for years to come.

Anyways just having some fun with it and humbly wondering what you guys thought.

  4. I'll just agree to disagree here...

I do agree Barron likely is a better Prospect than Whitner...But I don't think that means much...And sure Alabama is a better School now than OSU, but how about 6 years ago?

No matter though...I'll never be in favor of taking a Strong Safety this high..And I don't think Barron is the type that can move around much in the NFL...I don't think he's a high cover Safety who can cap the top of a Defense...I admit he should be a good in-the-box SS, and may very well be one of the better one's in the NFL in a few years...But you can get those guys later on...The Bills don't need a Safety right now, and they still need to get better in other areas...I mean they REALLY need to get better in other areas...I could see if Barron was CLEARLY the best player available at #10 how some could argue for the Pick, but I don't think there is any way that is going to be the case...And to top it all off you're talking about a Kid who's had some injury issues...

    And then there's this...Not saying it's a deal-breaker...But still...Barron trouble

I would not be happy with this pick...I think it would be a terrible decision...But of course I would hope for the best...Like I did with Whitner... ;)

An "in-the-box" SS is exactly what the Bills need. 28th in rush defense last year. They addressed their 19th ranked pass defense by adding Williams, now address the rush defense. Adding Barron at 10 would certainly upgrade the rush defense. The absolute most pressing need on this team right now is RUN DEFENSE. Aside from Kuechly, Barron is the only player at 10 who would instantly upgrade the run defense. IMO, this is why their looking at him.

  5. I actually don't mind this pick @ 10. Here's why: (not saying I want this guy, but I wont cry over it either)

    19th against the pass

    28th against the rush

    30th points allowed

Buffalo needs help on Defense. Williams certainly helps, but it's going to take more than just him.

Casserly tends to know what he's talking about. Over 20+ years in the NFL gives him some cred. He has Barron rated #7 on his board.

Whitner was better than Wilson (he kept Wilson on the bench), Casserly clearly thinks Barron is better than Whitner. Wilson had a good season, sure, but he started out of necessity.

Buffalo needs to get better against the run and pass. Barron does both very well.

Nix wants playmakers, difference makers and impact guys. Barron had 12 int's, 22 deflections, 235 tackles while being the Defense QB

Wilson is 31 (about time to slow down) and Byrd had 1 pic last year. If Byrd can get back to form, Byrd and Barron for the next 7-10 years in the outfield sound real nice to me!

As a poster stated earlier, if you can relegate a started to a back-up role...... and improve your defense in the process....... DO IT!

I never studied-up on this kid until this thread came out, but spent the better half of the last two hours reading and watching video on him. I like him.... A LOT! I try not too, but I just have a good feeling about him. If Buffalo can get Barron in the 1st and Stephen Hill in the 2nd (doubtful) that would be juicy sweet!

  6. Blue Skies Nothing but Blue Skies and Brillant Sunshine here in Orchard Park this morning. 47 degrees. The WGR550 remote van just pulled into One Bills Drive.

I SWEAR TO GOD.... We will get him! I have never heard this song, however, as I was reading this post earlier this morning, Fox New was going to a commercial and played this song......... AS I WAS READING IT WORD FOR WORD! Coincidence? I think not! Just sayin...

  7. "Can any genius point to progress made during this latest two year regime?"

    1. Better MLB (Barnett)

    2. Better DE (Dareus)

    3. Moving Woods to center

    4. Brad Smith signing seems to be working

    5. Chandler (nice to use a TE again)

    6. Urbik

    7. WE FINALLY BEAT NEW ENGLAND!!!!

and yes..... your Wilson line was classless but I liked the post.

  8. I can relate to what you're saying in a sense.

But if the Buffalo Bills are your life, I truly do feel sorry for you. I love football too, but life offers more valuable things than football.

I hope this is just an emotionally charged rant!

It is an emotionally charged rant. However, feeling sorry for me while something is important for me and perhaps not that important for you is a sign of stupidity. Because you don't feel the same about an event/situation does not give you the right to judge. Yes.... the Buffalo Bills are my life (certainly other things are important as well) this is a thread about being a sportsman....... not a father/husband/employee. If you'd rather talk about those things, find a forum that discuses that. Otherwise...... STFU! pansy!
