Yes he plays LB.. not Edge/OLB. Milano has value but not enough given age and his contract. Why would the Bills trade him for a 4th or 5th? Then we have an additional spot where depth is an issue. He is a game changer on this D and imho not enough return back for his Bills value.

Did you read the other guys post And then mine? I would never trade Milano for a 4th or 5th nor did I ever suggest such a thing.

I was simply refuting the guy’s claim that LBs without double digit sacks don’t have value. I’m quite literally saying they do have value and mentioned Milano as one that has a ton.  I’m very confused by your comment here.

Doubt he’s worth more than a 4th/5th rounder at this point.  LB’s who don’t have double digit sack numbers aren’t valued very highly in today’s NFL.  I’ll be glad to have him back, but likely his best days are behind him.

    This is so untrue.

Of the names on here. The only two "real" LBs who don't put their hand in the ground is Hassan Reddick and Josh Allen but even they does some times. Roquan Smith isn't on there, no value? Fred Warner not on there, no value? Dre Greenlaw, Quincy Williams, CJ Mosley.... Milano ..  Cmon man.

Like two of them will have NFL careers. McCarthy ain't gonna be one of them.

Which 2 are you referring to?

Their OL will have at least 2 themselves, Sainistril will have a long career, Corum will have the average NFL RB career (length wise), Roman Wilson will at LEAST be a good special teamer and be in the league for 5-6 years (avg. is >3.).

IMO I think you're pretty far off with this assessment.

That LSU team had studs though - Burrow, Jefferson, Delpit even CEH and Chaisson who haven't panned out. That Michigan list reads like a lot of depth players to me.

That team absolutely had more freak players and super stars in college.. Just absurd athletes.

The Michigan team and it's players are the fundamentally sound, REALLY well coached, heady/understand the game players.

It's like the super fun Golden State Warriors with Steph/Klay/ KD

Vs. the boring San Antonio Spurs Dynasty's

This is from a talent perspective of possible options we have available at our range of picks. Not necessarily an endorsement for taking these players, or in this order.

    Day 1:

    WR Brian Thomas Jr

    WR AD Mitchell

    DE Chop Robinson

    CB Kool-Aid McKinstry

    S    Cooper DeJean

    C    Jackson Powers-Johnson

Late Day 1 / Early Day 2 (trade back options)

    WR Ladd McConkey

    WR Troy Franklin

    WR Xavier Worthy

    WR Keon Coleman

    Day 2:

    DT Kris Jenkins

    DT Ruke Orhoroho

    DE Adisa Isaac

    DT Braden Fiske

    DE Bralen Trice

    WR Xavier Leggette

    S    Cole Bishop

    C    Cedric Van-Pran

    WR Johnny Wilson

    DE Marshawn Kneeland

    CB Mike Sainistril

    DT Maason Smith

IDEALLY: We get “our guy” at 28. However, I am a bigger fan for trading back this year to recoup a 3rd rounder because I feel like there are so many WR who can contribute if there are still a few left, or so many WR will go early forcing some really good players to fall. It takes 2 to tango, so you need a trade partner willing to move up, a player worth someone moving up for, and good compensation. If we traded to the mid-30s with someone like Arizona and got pick 90 I think that’s too good an offer to pass up, provided we are confident with who will be available later on.

I listed more than I planned on, but these players are the ones I like the most in the top-100 pick range.

if Sainistril is there in round 2, I think Beane puts the card in IMMEDIATELY. He is a "Process" / "Buffalo" guy through and through. I don't love the idea of corner in round 2 with some other holes on the roster but as we learned last year, can never have enough good ones. I'm hoping we are looking OL/ S/ DL in round 2. (in that oder)

I think Keon Coleman will be a star in the NFL. Big bodied, makes contested catches, tough as nails, runs solid routes (I don't think FSU asked him to do much which means he can and will grow and learn from NFL coaches) and seems to be pretty damn competitive.

I just don't see it in him. I don't see a player that can separate with consistency.

At this point, I don't disagree with you. He's far from a finished product. His family tree tells me he can and will become at LEAST a solid WR in the NFL, if nothing else, he will be a great special teamer.

  7. I really dislike that they passed this without trying it for a year in the pre-season first, like have done with MANY other rules. If players, coaches, fans, etc hate it... why keep it?

We may all love it but at the end, all of the rule changes coming are harming the game.

The comments you're making indicate to me that you have not watched Xavier Worthy play football. If you are calling him a "gadget guy", there's no way you've watched much of him at Texas.

Again, if you don't like Worthy and you want someone more physical, that's perfectly okay, buy when you say things like he's "John Ross 2.0" or a "gadget guy" or "cool because he's fast", it just makes it clear you haven't watched him and/or don't know much about him.

My brother in christ, I'm referring to him at the next level. I live in Texas, I have been to games to watch him play.

Guys like that don't succeed in the NFL.

You're going to tell me he has an advanced route tree? That makes me think you have never watched him play football.

You think he can beat physical CBs off the line? That makes me think you never watched him play football.

You think he is going to go over the middle on a 15 yard in and catch a ball while getting hit? That makes me think you never watched him play football.

I don't think it's fair to say that Xaxier Worthy is John Ross 2.0.

The first set of stats is Ross, the second is Worthy.

For one thing, John Ross broke out as a fourth year Junior, doing not much of note until then. Worthy broke out as a freshman, posting 981 yards and 12 TDs.

As for the size and the notion that players like him can't hold up in the NFL:

Xavier Worthy is 5'11" 165 lbs.
Devonta Smith is 6'0" 170 lbs and has done quite well for himself in the NFL.
Darnell Mooney is 5'11" 174 lbs and has posted a 1,000 yard receiving season in the NFL and just signed a decent FA deal to be a WR2 for Atlanta.

It's not unreasonable to think that Worthy can add 5 lbs of muscle in an NFL strength and conditioning program.

If you don't like Worthy as a prospect, that's fine, but I think that calling him "John Ross 2.0" or blaming his size is faulty reasoning.

Ok sorry, John Ross was more productive his senior year by miles than Worthy.

You named 2 other guys who are “good” receivers. That’s not the norm. If you think the Bills need another gadget guy that runs fast, that’s your take. I don’t think we do and we don’t. We need a real WR who can run routes, be physical at the line with CBs from KC and have an expanded route tree. Not a guy that’s cool because he’s fast.

It's a cat and mouse game.  New methods of cheating the system lead to new methods of testing which lead to new methods for cheating which lead to new methods of testing…and on and on.  In the end they catch up to it.

This doesn’t mean it’s not happening. There is NO WAY Nick Bosa has knee surgery, puts on 30 pounds, while he says he stopped eating carbs.. that doesn’t happen. Do you think the NFL is ever testing Nick Bosa or TJ Watt? TJ Watt came back from a fully torn pec in 6 weeks. That’s not normal and can’t be done “naturally”

And in this case more offense, which I'm sure the NFL desperately wants after a year where scoring was way down.

Yeah, which is horrible because it was down by like .3 points. 47 points a game is hardly boring. The NFL is systematically and slowly ruining the game.

He needs to muscle up a bit and he will get a lot more YAC. This guy would have been a monster back in the steroid days of football

You are insane if you think these guys aren't on PEDs. There are many that are WAY better than they were back in the day AND most untrackable in blood/ test levels. Don't ask me how I know because I will not explain.

He plays outside and a lot project him to the slot because of his route running. That comment was very interesting and describes a guy like a McConkey or a Worthy way more than guys like Legette

Worthy is NOT versatile. He is a John Ross 2.0 and scares the hell out of me. He is 5'11 165 pounds. He will be a jet sweep guy/ gadget guy exclusively. WR's like him do not succeed in the NFL.

McConkey is fine because he can run routes, catch across the middle, etc but I don't want him early. He is the same build as Diggs basically. We NEED a big bodied receiver.

And if a team were ever to do it, it would be this one.

This coach would ABSOLUTELY do that.

Then fire a positional coach(whose spot he used for said place holder) for not having enough fresh bodies during a game. only if it was on offense though.

You miss my point.  You said he lives in a fantasy world. My point is for Deion and many others like him in and out of sports, the things they want are not fantasies.  They make things like this happen.  Eli forced his way out of San Diego.  Did anyone say Eli or Archie were living in fantasy? Lebron is going to get some GM to draft his kid and then trade him so they can play together.  If Sanders wants his kid to play in a warm weather site, he can probably make it happen.  It's not an absolute of course.  San Diego drafted Eli.  They could have played hardball but they chose not to.  Baltimore could have drafted Elway but they chose not to because Elway didn't want to play there.

Agree.  When have the Bills ever not been able to attract free agents?  Oddly it's been players like Kelly and Cousineau that were the top draft picks that chose not to play in Buffalo. I don't think weather factored into either of those decisions.

I didn't miss your point. You spouted his athletic accolades like it has anything to do with an absolutely god awful take.

What you said above doesn't correlate to this at ALL, either. NBA is not the NFL. You're comparing a team with 5 ppl who play with 15 on the team vs 53. You're also comparing a person that didn't want to play for a franchise with Deion who said warm weather QBs shouldnt play in the cold..

So... we should just cancel games that are cold if the QB is from a warm weather state? Again, it's a fantasy world / take. Tua was drafted to a warm weather team and played in a VERY cold game vs KC, does Deion think that shouldnt happen?

PS Rodgers. Brady and Josh Allen all played in California... Mahomes, Texas..

Yes, Deion lives in a fantasy world and he will STILL not sleep with you.

  16. 19 hours ago, Ethan in Cleveland said:

Yup that fantasy world of being a three sport college star, then the fantasy of playing at the highest level in football and baseball, and then the fantasy of winning championships, and then the fantasy of getting elected to the college and pro football HOF, then the fantasy of being selected to the all tiem top 100 NFL players of all time, and then the fantasy of raising a son good enough to play major college football, and finally the fantasy of being able to coach your son along the way...

Yup he sure does live in a fantasy world...

Bro chill, he isn't going to sleep with you. I really missed where that has anything to do with his coaching and current take on the landscape of football....

His current views are absolutely fantasy and outrageous takes, nothing was stated about his accolades as a player but GOO OFFF MY BOI.

Losing Kelce and Cox and way over paying Barkley is not a winning off-season for them.

Lol yeah, the early comments in this thread saying great signing are soooo out of touch. This isn't rookie Saquon. He hasnt been the same since. He's always injured he looked INCREASINGLY slower as the season went on last year. They are flushing money down the drain and people saying Roseman is some miracle maker.

That team is on the brink of not making the play offs this year. Hurts without Kelce moving piles 3 yards is going to look a lot different. He clearly clearly regressed last year, as well.

I have looked usual places and hearing next to nothing on players wanting to remain either offering to take salary cuts or rejecting them offered by Bills. None from spouses too.

No one is acting like this was a surprise but no leaks too.

Only Von Miller is known coming back with a cut.

I have heard nothing from any of the agents I communicate with.

I was hoping for one of Sal's charts which showing which players are gone and impact on offense, defense and special teams.

This was a large cut by Bills and they could have done it another way.

Please explain. We're still 12 mill or so over the cap.

    We cut:

-Poyer who was significantly worse last year than just the year prior

-Tre White - 4th best CB on the team

-Mitch Morse- has had so many concussions. He was good but not needed

Neal- Special teams guy... really regressed.

There was no other way to do it. Bills fans have this thing where they hold on to players that they LIKE so they think are GOOD. The two are not mutually exclusive.
