there is always an excuse . never ends for this team.
There's a difference between an excuse and a reason.

Err, I don't know if you've heard, Peterman had a MUCH worse first half when he was a rookie.

Wow nice uncalled block in the back.

The Bill's are playing terrible but I agree, there's been some blatant extended arms holding jerseys all game
Hard to get any momentum going when your good play calls that would have worked are getting blown up with holds. Like, what are they supposed to do?

You are making toooo much sense, you drunk?
Sorry, watching from the shop so the beer is of the root variety.

You picked the right place to get some cheese to go with the whine.
I'm sure that sounded clever in your head. Sorry for noticing jerseys getting pulled and arms wrapped around shoulders/necks on a play that just happened to have a first down blow right by.

Holding everywhere on that big 1st down.

Packers burned their "one free quarter of holdings". We can actually get through now maybe.
I take this back. What was I thinking.

Actually remembered to put $5 on the Bills this time.

I thought the thread was going to be about dropping $5k on the Packers.

I thought you were just trolling, but you could not have been more spot on.
Way to go.
Any thoughts on the Green Bay game?
So spot on, predicting that Shady would contribute and the close 23-21 score. All he guessed right was the number of turnovers, which at 3 is a safe reasonable amount to predict for a win over a good team.
I was also telling people before the game that we were going to win, including that our defensive performance was going to carry over from the second half of the Chargers game. I just didn't think to throw it up on the forum for the "glory".
But hey hail the inanimate carbon rod and you may now all flame me for crapping on the party with common sense.

I love optimism, but this is going to be ugly
Damn right it got ugly, in a hurry.

TBH, unless a miracle has occurred with the Bills run blocking, I don't think it makes that much difference.
McCoy had 39 yds rushing on 9 attempts, but that's really 1 rush for 27 yards, and 8 rushes for a total of 11 yards or 1.4 ypc
Ivory and Murphy managed 2.6 ypc (13 yds on 5 rushes)
Sure, the 27 yd play mattered, but the bread-and-butter of moving the chains is not being done by the Bills RBs at this time.
It doesn't work like that. You can make anyone look like an All-Pro or a complete bum if you "just take out" all their best or worst plays.

All ok. But DONT exercise your Constitutional Rights. Then your not welcome
Last I checked, game day in the stadium is their workplace, and employers are entitled to have rules about workplace conduct including political statements and the like.

Even the worst NFL teams year to year are built of an All-Star selection from college. Every single one of them, even the backups on said worst team, was a good productive player in college. Now they have had years of additional skills development, strength training, etc. This brings the average player level far above even the best college team.
A regular series of worst NFL team vs best college team would be like the Harlem Globetrotters just freaking clowning all over the Senators or whoever it is they play.

"It's too early to tell if Allen and Edmunds will pan out."
Ok sure, but wouldn't that be double for whatever rookies you wanted next year instead? You're positive THOSE picks are guaranteed to pan out?

What matters is whether you would bet $1,000 on the Bills to win the game, or a larger sum to make it actually hurt to lose
to say “I don’t gamble” makes you ineligible to make a comment among men who watch football
to say “hell no” makes you ineligible to make a pixie whim wish for a win among men who watch football
What the hell are you going on about?

I believe Baltimore also places a lot of faith in their running game. If Buffalo is going to win, it will be because they play better. Their much maligned offensive line has to step up big time.
Next thing you'll say is we have to score more points than them too. Get out of here with that crazy talk.

Mills is 72 and you are correct about Petermann.
I'd be curious to hear more about that, but maybe in a non-Bills thread.
Maybe if we just played the Ravens this year 16 times lol.
I have to ask, are you spelling it like that on purpose? You did it something like 7 times in the original post, that's what I was referencing by my other post.

This Petermann kid sounds good.

He's mentally tough, in terms of popping back up after getting hit.
He's also been concussed a few times on record, and medically, every successive concussion increases your risk for future ones.
It's unfortunate, as I liked the kid in college, and wouldn't have been upset if we drafted him, but I do think he's at a huge risk for concussions cutting his career short, which is kind of sad.
I could be wrong, but I thought the whole CTE and other serious effects was about receiving another concussion before you fully healed from the last one, not the number of concussions itself. Like in general, a guy who has had 3 concussions but spaced out and healed in between, would likely be better off than a guy who had 2 overlapping.

Totally fair comparison to two Hall of Fame QBs.
So Peyton started his career as a HOF QB? I think you missed the point of them "living down" those INTs by BECOMING HOF QBs.
-
Brett Favre, who holds the all time record for career INTs, yadda yadda...
Peyton Manning, who holds the record for most INTs thrown by a rookie, yadda yadda...
Yup, will never live it down, no matter what.

Yeah marginally better, while having even worse OL and WR play, and banged up RBs. I'll give him a pass for now.
