Let me guess, you think this guy sounds better:

alls short of size marks for traditional early-round quarterback. Short with drop-down release makes him more susceptible to batted passes. Benefited from spread scheme that created huge passing windows to throw to. Will see increased importance on post-snap reads. Needs to improve full-field scanning. Can be thrown off rhythm by delayed blitz packages and disguised coverages. Footwork is erratic. Creeps up in pocket towards pressure. Ball placement wanes when he tries to gun it. Deep balls hang on him. Can't afford any delay in deep release to beat safety over the top. Needs to eliminate his back foot throws. Desire to make plays will lead to unnecessary sacks. Has to prove he can reign in and control on-field edge and cockiness.

    No, actually. I like Darnold.

  2. Does this sound like a franchise QB to you? This profile from NFL.com is downright scary.

Durability is a concern. Carries slight build and has had injury issues dating back to high school. Carries ball low in pocket with slight upward pre-throw hitch. Too casual in pocket set-up. Decision making and post-snap reads are inconsistent. Refuses easy throws at times. Arm talent and strength are below average. May need to make greater effort to drive field and seam throws. Poor career deep ball completion rate. Excess air under ball allows challenges. Lacks gun to challenge safeties with rip throws over the top. Needs better anticipation. Poor mobility. Struggles to elude early pressure. Completed just 42.4 percent of his throws when forced to move. Too much hero ball. Extends plays and takes unnecessary chances rather than throwing it away. Scouts question his passion for football and whether he will be a willing student.

"He wasn't the guy everyone rallied around in college and you don't have to dig around for too long to find people who said he was hard to coach. He's definitely talented. Nobody questions that. But he's going to have to get grown men to buy into him as their leader. That is not a given." -- NFL Executive

Simple question. Why so many assinine threads? I cannot fathom a more pointless thread than asking who is starting prior to FA, prior to the draft, and immediately following the trade of our previous starting QB. I mean FFS people what the hell is going on here?

Well, aren't you just a fun guy. I don't recall seeing another thread with a simple poll of the options. You don't think it's interesting to think about the fact that there are literally 20 possible QB options and no one has any idea who it'll be? It's interesting to see how the majority thinks it will play out. It will also be fun to look back later and see who was right.

  4. I'm honest to a fault and I won't apologize for that. I'm nervous that if I resort to shady means to get tickets, I'll get discovered somehow and get banned or something.

The sad thing is that we shouldn't even be having to have this conversation. I shouldn't have to sneak around in order to get tickets to Bills games!

For those saying they don't believe me, come on. Why would I make this up? Call the ticket office and ask. And, the one poster above did post the link that cites the 200 mile thing. It's legit.

  5. Did you know that you're not allowed to get Bills season tickets if you don't live in Buffalo?

I left my inquiry on the website last night. The ticket rep called me back this afternoon and left a message asking for me to call him back. Instead of just telling me the policy on the voicemail, he let me carve out time at work to call him back and proceeded to ask me questions about the history of my affinity for the Bills. I was so happy to finally be taking this step. I wasted time telling him how much I love the Bills, and then he told me that I'm not allowed to get season tickets because I'm outside of WNY. Said the policy isn't listed on the website so there's no way I could've known. I asked him why he bothered to ask me the questions about why I love the Bills. He apologized for giving me false hope. I still don't get it. I asked him how close I'd have to move to Buffalo in order to get season tickets. He said 200 miles or so. I told him that friends in the local area have season tickets and he said they must have been grandfathered in prior to enactment of this new "policy."

So if you live outside of WNY, you're screwed. You must not be a REAL fan. After all, if you were a REAL fan, I guess you'd live in WNY, right? Never mind if you've wanted to get seasons for 20 years and finally have the opportunity financially and are able to make the drive every week? Never mind if you would GUARANTEE that you know more about the team than 99% of fans? F my dreams, right?

For reference, I'm 260 miles away in Maryland. 60 miles too far from Orchard Park...

  6. On the old BBMB, someone would always post a thread showing when the Bills preseason games will be broadcast on NFLN. I know none of them will be live. I am outside of Buffalo and rely on these broadcasts. Does anyone have this information for this year?

I found the first three from the NFL Network schedule:
    Friday, August 11, 4:00 a.m. ET: Vikings
    Friday, August 18, 12:00 a.m. ET: @ Eagles
    Monday, August 28, 12:00 a.m. ET: @ Ravens
It looks like the final replay hasn't been scheduled yet.
