  1. Title says it all. Very exciting! No details given as to what day this week it will be released, but my money's on Thursday.

And before 26 inevitably has a problem that I posted a new thread and makes a smart-butt response... This is a lot different than "leaked" schedule news and I'm sure people appreciate actually seeing the news on the front page.

  2. Unreal... I bet they don't let him come back. McBeane probably warmed to the idea of the extra cap space by now, not to mention Richie's teammates who will be pissed because they thought they'd have an opportunity to fill the void. McDermott would feel bad for them. I think something is wrong in Richie's head... Jerking them around like this (on Twitter!) is NOT very Process... OR he could be angling to be cut, and he's done a masterful job if so. If McBeane's only options are cut or keep, I strongly feel they'll cut.

The Giants are not going to make any moves until they see what the Brown's do. They will entertain offers but they will not complete them unless Cleveland announces their pick before the draft. If Cleveland takes Darnold then it will be a free for all with teams attempting to get t0 # 2. I hope Gettleman thinks kindly of his former protege'.

What's with the apostrophe at the end of the last word?

What if these sneaky mofos know something?.. What damaging information surfaces a week before the draft causing one or more of the top 4 picks to nosedive?

Could NE be sitting on something?

Oh my god... Why does everyone think NE is smarter than everyone else???

  5. To those who say that teams are only allowed to have one helmet, please explain the fact that the Broncos, at least once per year, wear an alternate helmet. It always makes me really angry because I'd kill to see the red helmets a couple times a year for Buffalo.

I like the other thread about the worst FA signing in Bills history.  So, I'd like to turn that around and ask you all; who completely balled out here in Buffalo, to earn a rich contract somewhere else, but flopped.

The first one that comes to my mind is Jarius Byrd.  And I was happy to see him go.

    Jairus. Jairus.

I swear the same people who always spell his name incorrectly are the same ones who say "Martavius" Bryant and Nathan "Peterson."

  7. Normally at this time of year, we're hotly anticipating the schedule release. There are rumors that it will come on April 17 this year, which puts it only a few weeks away. So let's get away from quarterbacks for a second and talk about the schedule.

Do you think we'll finally get a Sunday Night Football game this year now that we made the playoffs? If we do, it will probably be on the road. But maybe a home Monday night game?

Last year, every playoff team from the year prior was rewarded with at least one SNF game. Look for the NFL to change that procedure this year in order to keep the Bills off of SNF.

  8. I wouldn't, and I hope Brandon Beane agrees.

And this is even a bare minimum of what it would cost to get to #2. Using the chart, #12 (Vander Esch), #22 (Moore), #53 (Rudolph), and #65 (Penny) get you to #2, but because of the Jets trade, you'll probably have to give up significantly more than that. Is Rosen (or your other preferred QB other than Darnold) better than Rudolph to the extent that you're willing to just not have Vander Esch, Moore, Penny, and some other high-impact player?

I am firmly in the camp of keeping our picks at this point. The Bills are in position to build a dominant roster. Let McCarron, Rudolph, and Peterman compete.

FYI: the available players came from the Fanspeak draft simulator using Matt Miller's board and the difficult algorithm.

  9. QB

    WR2

    RG

    RT

    OLB

    MLB

    CB3

Beane could fill all 7 by re-signing P. Brown, keeping the six picks in the top 100, and taking best available QB at #12. If he trades 12, 22, and 65 for a QB, we'll still have 2-3 major holes left. I'm not sure we have the money to address those remaining holes in FA.

  10. A couple of things:

I think many of you who are touting his physical characteristics and smarts are overlooking the fact that there are major questions about his personality and leadership -- areas in which a quarterback must be strong in order to succeed. You can't overlook those things. If there are questions about your quarterback's effort, passion for the game, etc., you're in trouble. Guys aren't following that.

For the record, I don't think we should draft Baker Mayfield either (even though many people seem to think that being down on Rosen is synonymous with loving Mayfield).

Also, the reason I didn't post the strengths listed in the scouting report is because I truly believe that you have to look at a prospect's weaknesses, not strengths, as the foremost part of the evaluation. You want to evaluate his floor first.
