Great talent, but no emotional intelligence to speak of...total clown in my opinion. Could be a Tanneyhill/Mariotta type situation but it would have to be cheap for the Bills to be interested.

If the NFL is able to start on time I wonder what attendance will be like? Do you see 72,000 inside New Era this year or any other stadium for the matter. Its been drummed into our heads about social distancing. Even if we are past the worst part of this virus come September I could see many people being nervous showing up to a game and sitting in a big crowd.
It might have an impact, some people may stay away our of "an abundance of caution". But they will likely sell their tickets to others who dont care. We need to see where we are in May...let this thing play out a little bit..at some point I think the world will get back to "normal". But at the same time I am sure this will have a lasting impact.

In terms of the 16 game schedule? I sure hope not. If it does our 401k's will be lower than in 2009. At some point I think we just accept this virus is part of life like other corona virus (such as the common cold) and move on. I think that will be before September. There is this initial infection time where we need the world to build an immunity while slowing the infection rate enough to manage it at the hospitals as best we can. Once the thing has made its way through the population the rate of infection will be more random and spread out naturally like the common cold. At least that is what I think is the most likely scenario.

Did you know.....

We are at the top in terms of signed free agents. We aren’t getting any comp picks.

Nope probably not as this is to kill the middle class and knockout most small to medium and a few big businesses. The NWO is rolling in faster than people could even imagine. This flu is not much different than last year and previous years. The flu virus one of many effects old and infants. There rolling with this to steal are liberties and resources/freedom and just like 911 nothing more nothing less. P.S. The Investigation for 911 did not start till after 300 plus days but yet we were bombing the middle East within 72 hours. That's how dumb down some are thinking terriost actually carried out that event. They shipped out the evidence before the investigation started, clever no... evil yes.

Businesses all over the country are laying people off. It sucks for sure. And there is no guarantee business ever gets back to how it was.

Um you lose a first round pick every time you use it to draft a player. We essentially just drafted a proven stud and top 10 WR with our first round pick in Diggs.Draft pick = 1 player.
Instead of drafting an unproven player at same position who statistically odds are won’t ever be as good as Diggs, we drafted an elite proven talented instead in Diggs.
So why do you hate “using” our first to get 1 PROVEN player vs using the same first to get 1 unproven rookie at same position who most likely won’t ever be as good as Diggs?
Thanks for pointing this out. I am sure the poster did not know you get a player with a draft pick. Deep insight!

Cool, I will root for him when he is not against the Bills, he seems like a good dude,....puts the work in.

Need another tackle and RB. Also could use an upgrade at TE but that is likley not happeing.

you really, really should move on. The fact that you characterize the deal as “giving picks away” speaks volumes. Giving something away usually means you received nothing in return, at least nothing of value. That couldn’t be further from the truth in this case. So please, yes, move on.
what a terrible post. You have your shiny object just look at it and marvel some more.-

This year Buffalo had 2 5th rounders, and 3 6th rounders. After the trade Buffalo still has 7 picks. The 4th round pick is for 2021. The draft is important. Beane out bid 2 other teams for a #1 wr and didnt mortgage the draft to do it.
They didn't mortgage the draft because they still have 7 picks? There is no first round pick left, they gave up #22 plus 3 other picks. That #22 is an impact player that is a bargain for 4 years with a 5th year option. Arizona got a better player for a #2. I would have preferred not giving up a #1. I dont think its all that relevant how many they had, they earned those...you dont go around giving away picks because you have extra. I think the compensation was too much but I like the player. I will move on, nothing I can do.

Makes no sense, this is just an opportunity for him to extend his "legend". If they fail, he was an out, it's because Brady left, if he makes a deep run in the playoffs he is an even bigger genius. No risk high reward if you ask me.

You're talking potential. You hope #22 is a player as good as Diggs WHEN they hit their ceiling. It was moved for a known commodity to hit the window before Allen monopolizes the cap
Diggs is good. A #22 could be better or worse than Diggs. Tre White at #27 was there out of the gate. Not to mention a 4-5-6 picks where you find guys like Diggs (he was a 5th round pick) on occasion. At the end of the day, I like Diggs, I dont like the compensation it took. There are a lot who seem to not care about the compensation a long as they have their shiny fantasy WR. But I am just a guy on the internet....the price was steep though, its being talked about all over the media that way.

I would have done that deal.

Every trade in the NFL history is bad when compared to the Hopkins trade. If that's your standard for evaluation of value you're going to be disappointed for the rest of your life. BOB has poop for brains and would trade anyone for an Egg McMuffin, as evidenced yesterday.
It DOES matter what picks they had before the deal. Again, let's just pretend it's Cleveland's 5th and 6th going to Minnesota. Those picks were acquired for the low, low price of trading Wyatt Teller, who they were possibly going to cut anyway. Like you said, every pick has value. To the Bills, the value of the mid-to-late round picks was usage as trade pieces. 9 draft picks were NOT going to make this roster, especially when 5 of those 9 were in Rounds 5 and 6 where every pick is a dart throw.
At #22 you're not getting Stefon Diggs. Jeudy, Ruggs, Lamb? More than likely off the board before 22. I like Tee Higgins a lot, but he's likely not going to be Diggs. Shenault? Not Diggs either.
This is a move you make when you have a QB on his rookie deal. You have to hit that window to win before you retool the roster to pay the QB.
I really dont understand this mentality. Wyatt Teller is 100% irrelevant. How you acquired the capital does not matter, this is like people who get a tax return spending like drunkin sailers because it was unexpected money or something.
How often does a 5th rounder get cut? Not likely to get cut. Likely to not be an impact player, sure. My issue is more with the #22 pick, that is a top talent at a bargain price with a 5th year option. That is near where Tre White was picked for instance, but I understand it could also be a bust.

Bills had three 5ths and two 6ths from the Teller and Bodine trades. Let's just say Beane moved the Cleveland picks to simplify it.
Buffalo sends #22, the Wyatt Teller picks (CLE's 2020 5th and 6th) and a 2021 4th
Buffalo gets Diggs and a 2020 7th
Projection guys think the Lawson signing could net Buffalo a 2021 4th compensatory pick also
It does. Not really matter what picks they had. Each pick has value based on its slot. You can’t just give them away because you acquired them by trade. I am not a gm. But comparing the Hopkins trade to this one it seems like the bills were desperate. Digs is 6 feet tall. I was hoping for 6-3 or taller. I’m a bills fan and hope this works out but my opinion is the compensation was too much. -
That is a mountain of compensation. I was also hoping for a large target. Hope this works out.

Fans win here. Longer season. Higher chance of playoffs. NFL and players also win. More money.
Speak for yourself. 17 games blows in my opinion! Unequal. Number of home and away games.... more bitching from fans. Only reason for it is to drive revenues. Higher chance of playoffs also sucks. You should ha e to earn it.

because its technically an illegal forward pass in the endzone I think which is why it would be considered a safety
Yes
9 hours ago, Talley56 said:I was really hesitating about my answer, TD or touchback. I said touchback but I recall Tim Hasselback brought up a really good point, when a QB is kneeling to run out the clock, they actually take the knee. What would happen if they didn't and just took the snap and just tossed the ball to the ref without kneeling? At the heart of it, if you can't take the time to actually drop down to a knee really quick then maybe you deserve to live with the consequences.
That would be Incomplete “legal” forward pass. Unless it goes backwards then it’s a fumble. On the kickoff it was an “illegal” forward pass and should have been a safety. The ref started to rule this when the other guy from the sideline interrupted him.

Do the Patriots have a bottom 5 roster?

I really think they are more scheme than individuals on defense. Guys who have flourished in NE have not necessarily played well elsewhere. Chandler Jones is an exception. Lets wait and see, they are not a bottom 5 roster and will be in contention win 10 or more games. People handing the division to the Bills might be disapointed. There is reason to be more optimistic but people also underestimate the Jets.
