  1. Wrong. Teams that win don't get cute with a lead. That means run the clock down in the 4th. Watch some other games. That's standard operating procedure.

I do watch other games and teams like the Pats, Packers do not play it safe the entire 4th quarter when they are up by 9. Up by 19, yeah sure, not up by nine. You are wrong, you are stuck in 1992 football.

  2. I disagree. You drain as much clock as you can and trust your defense who's facing a putrid Jets offense. Plus, the running game is your strength. If we were facing an elite offense then you stay aggressive. I thought the naked bootleg by Taylor to ice it was the best play call of the game.

I just dont like being predictable and sometimes a longer drive can drain more time of the clock than a run run run punt. The best teams dont do this. Yeah the running game is the strength but the Jets were going 8 or 9 in the box expecting the run and we gave it to them. Other than a 3rd and 10 boot leg there was little success. With a running QB like Taylor you can roll him out and give him the option, if the pass is there take it or else get what you can. Statistically ~65% of the time you will still be able to run clock on a pass play. That can be higher with a QB who understand situation football. IE taking a sack can be better than an incompletion at times.

  3. I thought the playcalling for three quarters was really good. It was nice to see some screens, nice to see Clay targeted, nice to see the new regime has not broken the running game.

Hoiwever, the playcalling in the fourth quarter was "play to not lose" and I hate that. With 8 minutes left you need to keep your foot on the gas still and trust your QB who is known for taking care of the ball. The great teams dont go to run run run punt or run run pass punt when they are up by 9 with 8 minutes to go.

  4. Pass rush caused 2 ints and like 5 throwaways in 2nd half , McCown was getting that ball out quick. Tightened up coverage in 2nd half, we got pressure and penetration in run game pretty consistently. He rotates his line to keep guys fresh,

Yeah things changed in the fourth quarter. As others have said, there were a lot of 3 step and out plays. Also, McCown is a pro, he knows how to get rid of the ball.

  5. We will never see what could have been from this clown. He got his 50 million and is not a motivated individual. I think we all need to accept that and the Bills should move on as soon as the opportunity arises. Which could be at the end of next season.

  6. Before I opened the thread I figured it would be favored to Buffalo since Bills fans always over value their players when it comes to fantasy trades. The trade is not very realistic at all in that the teams would have to start over with a QB with a couple weeks to go before the season, not happening. Then there is the 4th round pick, why is Taylor more valuable to require a 4th round pick to make this happen?

  7. I also do not think Terrell Davis should be in. He had 4 good years, 3 mediocre years. He played on a team that chop blocked like crazy. I am always surprised how much support he gets.

It's kind of inconsistent though. When a guy like T.O. isn't in yet it doesn't seem like it is too easy to make the HOF. Tim Brown is another guy I thought had to wait longer than he should have.

TO should be in based on numbers alone but he destroyed locker rooms and was a terrible teammate.....I think it is fair that is considered. At times he made his team worse even with his immense talent. I do still think he should be in but that is the reason he is not.

  8. A second round pick rarely is cut before year two and would only be if he is a complete bust. No matter if he is a good fit or not, he is a tremendous talent and works hard. At the very least he would bring something in trade value. Yeah the regime that drafted him is gone but even so, it is still very rare to get rid of a high 2nd round pick so soon especially since he is still recovering from surgery.
