That pass was horrid
-
Come on Taylor
-
Shady is running against 8 man fronts and still getting solid yardage. I would rather make a trade for AJ Mcarron and use him as my bridge QB.
-
AJ is the QB we need to make a play for.
-
Green is going to have 20 for 230 3 TD's at this rate.
-
Taylor will throw it to 3 LB'ers but won't throw it to an open Logan Thomas
When you can only make 1 read every 3 sec and you need the guy to be open by 10 ft your not going to pass that well. Your QBR will be great but you will forever be 7-9.
-
Pay back for the Boyd hit.
-
LOL, I'm confident in my assessment that Taylor will never win a playoff game.
-
Nice pass TT
-
What a wobbilng dead duck throw, by Clay.
-
Shady will need to win this for us.
-
His field vision is so so horrid.
-
If Tyrol can pull this game out I will become a believer
Let's not get crazy now Crispy.
-
Look again. Every option was covered.
Put Peterman In! Did that for you.
To be honest I think Peterman could play a safe game and pass for 190 and a TD.
-
Shady was open coming across the middle, holy crap. Taylor needs a guy to be open by 10ft before he attempts a pass.
-
Uh you posted this before and I posted the actual statistic on it. Last year 5/12 Qbs met that criteria. 5 years ago 4/12 Qbs met that criteria. So no, almost every QB in the playoffs did not have 4000+ and 28+ TD's.
Thank you for looking that up.
-
When you look at the playoff QB's and QB's that make it to the super bowl your looking at 4000+ and 28+ TD's. I know Matt Ryan and Tom Brady easily hit those numbers last year. You cannot get those number without passing for 300 multiple times and multiple TD's.
You could probably go back 5 years and almost every QB in the playoff had 4,000+ and 28+ TD's. I want to get into the playoffs and get to the super bowl, you will never do that with 190 yard passing games.
-
He's a rookie WR on the most unfriendly passing team in the NFL. I was expecting a slow start.
-
I guess you would have to look a few years back when the rule changes were made that allowed the passing game to take over.
Go back 5 years and see what QB's are making the playoffs and their passing numbers.
I would say that majority of playoff teams have QB's passing for 4,000+ yards with 28+ TD's.
I would do the same thing with both teams in the super bowl.
-
transaction not accepted. There are no shares available of WR for the Buffalo Bills, as they have been delisted under the terms USC - 14.2.3 - application of position label does not quantify acceptable quality of said position. As such, the Bills do not have a listed WR.
Anyone who ever bought them is SOL. We are doooooomed
So if we watch the game and the WR's are open and balls are over or under thrown it's because the WR's suck?
Trubisky is a rookie QB playing against the Viking in his first start with dare I say worse WR's, TE, O-line and RB.
What if he passes for 300+ yards and 2 TD's. Does that blow up the reasoning that Taylor can't get passing yards because he has bad WR's.
Bears fans are saying they have horrid WR's but they are getting open it's just that Glennon can't throw them catchable balls.

And yet the Bills are 3-1 with a terrible running attack. That's against three very good teams with excellent defense too. Also as a reminder : A very similar team with - yes, the same quarterback - was top ten scoring last year. I won't bother quibbling over a very good vs great defense because I'm not sure which the team has.
My main point? These anti-Taylor narratives have a strange tendency to veer off into fantasy. SavoirPeterman claims Taylor could never come back from 14pts down, ignoring the evidence of just a few games ago. He says Taylor rarely throws 10yds down the field, which is embarrassingly easy to disprove. Ktulu says Taylor can't win without a strong running attack, when that's exactly what they've been doing. It's pretty strange the anti-Taylor case has such a hard time staying between the lines of reality.
Reality is if you are such a good QB then show it and carry a team with your arm or legs to at least a playoff game, that is reality. This team appears to have a top 10 defense and we know Shady is a top 3 RB. I am just going to watch this season and see if Taylor can elevate his game and take this team to the playoffs.
-
If Taylor has one of the best deep balls in the NFL shouldn't his passing yards reflect that? Wouldnt a good coaching staff see that and build the offense around it?
My gut feeling on Taylor is he will never win us a playoff game. When a QB passes for 190 with 1 TD your defense better be great and your RB needs to be top 3 just to squeak out wins.
Those are the kind of numbers I would expect out of a backup QB playing ultra conservative who is hoping his defense and RB can get a win.
This team is on the rise, I feel like Taylor is just the bridge QB. If we can hit on that Kirk Cousins type QB we will be serious contenders in a year or two.

It's you're and it's interesting that you can't even answer the question. Watch six more times. Later.
I saw that post that makes it obvious he has a fair and equitable POV regarding Taylor.
If he takes the Bills to the playoffs and wins one game you are right.
If he never gets to the playoffs or never wins a playoff game then I am right.
Only time will tell.
-
He might be playing at a higher level than Mack or Miller through 4 games. Unblockable, Pressure, Gap controll, great coverage and awareness.
When the Bills traded up for Sammy I though for sure they did it for Mack. I was just sitting there saying to myself holy $&!? we got Mack and Hughes and Brady will only play one more season because he would get broken playing the Bills.

If Peterman doesn't turn the ball over I'm 100% sure he could put up back up QB numbers like 190 and a TD.
