The reason Ravens maybe the most difficult out for the Bills
Scott7975 replied to PoundingDog's topic in The Stadium Wall
He may not have had a great game in raw passing yards but he has been very efficient in at least 2 of the games. Josh best game was like 55% completions and that was this past game. I always have hope with Josh Allen. There is no question there. I said I was 50/50 on the game and I dont expect a blowout like week 4. -
I have no problem with that. Thats the way it should be. I spend a lot of time on twitter though and it's more than just "defending their guy with passion" and as I said, thats from both sides. Its like going to chiefs planet or whatever their forums are.

Yeah, I seen that on twitter. I was kinda surprised about some of those numbers. The comments from Ravens fans are comical. Although they usually are on twitter. I used to think Miami fans were the most annoying fanbase. Miami fans got nothin on Ravens fans. Even Chiefs fans are more tolerable. TBF I am talking twitter here and there are some scumbag Bills fans on there too.

The reason Ravens maybe the most difficult out for the Bills
Scott7975 replied to PoundingDog's topic in The Stadium Wall
Of all the teams in the NFL, this is the one that scares me the most. Traditionally the Bills aren't very good catching mobile QBs. Lamar is the most dynamic mobile QBs in the league IMO. We also traditionally are not good against teams that both run the ball well and pass the ball well. Well, the Ravens do all 3 of those things. Unfortunately, also traditionally Josh has had bad games against the Ravens. Even in wins. This is going to be a tough test for our defense and our team. The Ravens are probably the worst matchup for us in the league. Probably followed by the Eagles because they are kind of the same offensively and they also have a stout D. This game scares me just because we don't match up well defensively and Josh has yet to have a great game against them. I'm still at a 50/50 could go either way. No way do I see a game like week 4 happening again, but I do see a close game where it's going to come down to who makes the least mistakes and maybe which defense makes the elite play in the 4th quarter. -
Great write-up as always. I wanted to comment on this part because you were at the game and I listened to the TV broadcast... I could tell the fans were not loud. I even commented in the GDT about it. I was shocked. I said that we shouldn't be able to hear their QB make calls at the line. He should have to be using the silent count. I can't believe everyone was so worried about Denver. I said all week they were a middling team and they had no chance unless we turned the ball over a lot, which we haven't done this year.

You can hear that right out of Sean Paytons mouth after the game. He said "we didn't expect their run game to be so efficient." Meaning they weren't worried about game planning for the run game.
-
Yup and if you get behind you dont have the potential double dip to catch you up. Also, scoring 7 points on the first drive is not going to bring them out of their run game. And Also also, if you happen to stop their first drive you are at a huge advantage. Now you can score first and still get the double dip. The only time I would want to take the ball first is if the weather was decent at start of game but expected to be bad soon.

Easier to do when you throw to the most wide open receivers in the league.
-
They all gonna try and make back all the money they lost betting on Denver.
-
Really good interview IMO.

F that. I need Allen to be Allen. Bradshaw can go piss.

Thats skewed a little bit by playing the Steelers. I think you know as well as I do that the Steelers are a fraud team and have been for years. Lets not do this. Teams play who they play. We can go team for team if you like. You might have had a tougher game or two but the SOS is highly skewed by record which could be just who you play and when you play them. For instance Miami has a crap record because they were without a starting caliber QB for half a season. We played them both times with Tua, but that won't show up on SOS sheet. We played Houston when they still had Diggs and were hungry. You played them when they were locked into seeding and had 1 good receiver. Are you going to say playing the Browns is any tougher than Jets or Pats? You played Philly, we played Detroit. You played the Commanders, we played the Rams. You played the Giants, we played the Titans. We can do this all day bro but in reality we played about the same toughness of teams.

The key to stopping Henry is to tackle him before he gets going. If he gets to the second level, thats when he becomes a problem. The key to stopping Lamar is not letting him get out of the pocket. Our guys are too slow to lose contain on Lamar.

I don't think he has ever played in the snow. Certainly the cold but not the snow.

Fitz magic is legend of the game this week!
Scott7975 replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall
I posted the pic in the Ravens thread probably the same time you were creating this one. I got mine from an email so I will cross post what Fitz said here too... “I'm really excited about the opportunity,” Fitzpatrick said. “I love the fan base in Buffalo, and it's a place where I've always felt like I've been at home… I loved Kyle Williams, seeing him with all his family doing it last week, and I can't wait for the opportunity this week to get everybody fired up.” Fitzpatrick said that through his four years in Buffalo and after, he has always had a deep appreciation for Bills Mafia for embracing him. “I've always had a deep understanding and appreciation of what it meant to be part of Bills Mafia, and I think they have embraced me for my playing style and personality and for me just being myself,” Fitzpatrick said. “We lived in the Southtowns, so we had great neighbors, and have always just felt a deep connection to Buffalo.”- 75 replies

We are always going to argue for our guys and disagree. I definitely agree whoever wins please beat KC.

Henry is a beast. I honestly don't think the snow is going to affect him that much.

Hell Yes!! “We lived in the Southtowns, so we had great neighbors, and have always just felt a deep connection to Buffalo.”

Random talking head says something about the Bills

Just to be clear, I am not blaming your fans or team for this. Just that reporter.

and the 3rd win I believe was against the Giants. I looked all this stuff up weeks ago and I think that is what I recall. Also its not just stopping Henry. Its also containing Lamar. Can't let him out of the pocket or he will just take off instead of throwing. We don't want Lamar in the open field. He is just too good.

I just dont have words that I can post here. I expect this from a fan or something, but this is completely unprofessional from a press member. This is the type of stuff that drives hate and there has already been enough of it over the MVP award. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/other/ravens-reporter-calls-buffalo-city-of-losers-ahead-of-facing-bills-in-divisional-round/ar-BB1rpl09

Big time game this week between the Ravens and Bills. Initial thoughts on why this matchup may be a different result… - Milano, Bernard and Taron Johnson back for this matchup. Von Miller playing at a different level now. - Bills WILL run base defense this time. - WRs in a much better spot on offense. Shakir healthy, Samuel healthy, Cooper addition, Coleman development. - Run game is has an identity. - At Highmark this time. Last time was first tough road atmosphere of season and many of the new players on both sides of the ball. - Bills second time seeing Todd Monken’s offense. - Going to be COLD. #BillsMafia
