The Bills had the money to pay a #1 receiver. They just chose to overpay a bunch of mediocre guys instead. They care more about rotational depth than having star players. It's a strategy, but one that isn't working well.

Thats because they overpay for depth pieces. You can take Samuel’s contract, Palmers contract, the contract of one other overpaid worthless player and add a premium player plus some cheap depth that aren’t really much worse than the overpaid guys. That’s the problem with the cap space. Doesn’t even need to be Palmer or Samuel. You can find overpaid useless guys all over the roster.

The team needs to be able to do both. They also need to mix things up better to keep the defense guessing. They try to mix it up by running different plays out of the same formations but that has been figured out. This offense is actually pretty primitive so it relies on each guy beating their guy instead of scheming stuff to work. FTR… I watched only about half that video when it came out but got bored with the presentation of it so shut it off. I have no idea what conclusion he came to.

It doesn’t happen because their routes are primitive and the other team trusts their corners to cover outside. Flood the middle with everyone else.

I don’t think they win the Super Bowl. I’m only going so far as to think they most likely win the division. Ok but I think everyone should admit the advantage it brings. Can you do the NFC? I don’t care about wins. Just how many made it. Chiefs kind of skew things. NFC has had a little more parity.

Miami was able to stop our run because they put a line full of 320 lbs guys. Not even sure Tampa is capable of that. on that note, Tampa is a big play offense. We will need to have a passing attack. Running the football is great when you have the lead but as I have been saying for weeks… you need to be able to pass the football. When your team is behind, running 10+ play drives that take 7+ minutes is only hurting your own team.

They only have 2 good teams left on their schedule. Unless you count the Bengals I guess. The Bills need to pretty much win out from here and have to hope the Pats lose a game they should and one they shouldn’t. seems feasible if the Bills get their O on track. yeah well it hasn’t been that long since the second seed didn’t also get a bye week. Try stats from that point.

yeah Ray has been pretty worthless this year. All I’m saying is he could catch punts instead of wasting a call up on Hardman. I can’t imagine the guy knows much more than a handful of plays yet.

Maybe but Daboll isn’t the answer. He is a terrible HC.

they could just use Ray Davis in a pinch. If Hartman is going to just do punt returns then they might as well just save the call up and use Codrington.

I’m not a huge Gabe fan but he does have some things we have lacked in the passing game. Whether he can still do it, I dunno but it’s things he has done before. things like getting open downfield, becoming a viable open target on the scramble drills, getting his feet in bounds on sideline catches.

13th in passing yards. 17th in passing touchdowns. Need a spark and Gabe has done it before.

ridiculous. Gabe is more valuable as a receiver than Hartman is a returner imo. The dude has been here a week so isn’t that valuable of a receiver.

That may happen at some point but he has been here 1 week. I doubt they make that move already.

Both Hardman and Gabe are on the PS. They aren't going to call up 2 receivers. Unless you think one will get signed to the active roster within the next day.

I feel like they did that with Taron last week as well.

I kind of figured Kincaid would be out. Was unsure about Shakir. Glad to hear he will probably play. maybe with a TE out and the Palmer playing, they might even call up Gabe… we might see some new set formations come out and a better passing plan.

not everyone. I certainly didn’t believe in the noodle arm Mac and cheese just like I didn’t believe in noodle arm Tua. I do believe in Maye. I don’t believe the are ready for any deep playoff run or superbowl yet. I do however believe they will win the division because they are good enough to beat their soft schedule and Vrabel is a good coach that will keep them prepared every week.
