Great athlete, but unfortunately his sack production tanked after week 9 when he became a starter. 4 sacks before, 1 sack after.
-
5 sacks last year and 6 TFL
Not a bad DE4

This is the kind of report you tuck away on page 9 of an existing thread.
27 years old
Started 5 games last year
15-31 (48%) completions against (phenomenal)
8.9% Missed tackles (not great)
8 career INTs
28 career starts

Bigger impact in 2024: Chase Young or Nate Peterman?

Joe Marino said he had a torn Achilles in his past which gives me a little pause...
Achilles surgery has made some big advances over the last few years, it’s not the career killer that it was.
He still has a break out season after that injury also.

The DT market is as thin as could be right now. Who is even still out there?
Bunch of old guys, I think

Did we let him leave the building? Any eyes on local restaurants? Airports?

he actively trolls them for funi just have to underscore that he goes out of his way to upset them just to get off on it
no one is a winner in it
How does he troll? I’ve never seen it.

It’s crazy to see him post photos from a shoot he did, and see all the horrible things ‘fans’ say to him.
This man will have NOTHING positive to say about Bills fans when he leaves.

Rapp feels like Jamal Adams light to me. In the box "big hitter" can't cover like whiffner
He can absolutely cover

Ashtyn Davis is also a FA FS option to keep an eye on.

Any thoughts on what his contract would look like?

Rapp and Blackmon were always the budget starting safeties I would target in FA year one of my Madden franchise. Blackmon is a good athlete, and put him in with a guy like McD, and I think he could be a long term option for this team.
This is a safety friend scheme also, McD is unreal at knowing what he wants and developing them.

Aren't FS and SS mostly interchangeable in our scheme?
Might be different now, Poyer and Hyde were interchangeable.
I’m not sure that we want Rapp being a single high safety.

But still a bad injury for DB and WR. And he still had time lost to another injury last year.
Has this org. Not learned it's lesson?
Missed 2 games last year.

One of the younger FS with starting experience
Breakout 2023
60.9% completions (fantastic)
4.3% missed tackles (fantastic)
Great athlete.

Ah, so he’s a wimp? Got it.

Simmons is a few years younger. They already got younger at one spot.
He’s 30, which seems the danger zone for safeties, but the fact he’s a little older may be the only reason we might be able to afford him.
I don’t think I’d wrap up too much guaranteed money, though.

Sal C claimed if he was moved before June 1, he would be off our books next year. That seems to contradict what others have said
If we are going to pay him 20 million, why don’t we just play him?

Justin Simmons incoming?!
Only thing that worries me is safeties hit that wall fast and hard. He could want more than a 1 year deal.

That’s going to open some cap, good move.

I saw some Seattle fans touching themselves over the PFF numbers, claiming he’s better than Fred Warner. They are in for a Boogie sized disappointment.
Yup, that was McD and Babs putting him in excellent situations.
No clue how his coverage grade was so high when he allowed 83% completions for 9.5 yards per.

No, only because I’d like to package a few picks to get into round 3 again.
Future WR, FS, NT, CB4, RB3, OG4
QB, TE, OT, C, SS, SLCB, LB, and K/P we are good.
They’ll still at some 1.7m dollar FAs also.

Correct, DE4, but still like our guys to have positive trends lol
