All DD kidding aside, I expect both Shady to play, and a decent dose of Webb in the Wildcat to take 3-5 carries that would normally be Shady's. It would be smart, IMO. Webb can run.
It's time to release the spider trap ?

DeAngelo Williams, Jennings, Mathews and Hillman seem to be the only choices out there

Um, he had over 1700 yards from scrimmage in 2012 and 1244 yards rushing. He definitely carried the load that year and was 6th in the league in yards from scrimmage. And again, his productivity per touch was off-the-charts good that season.
Agreed but who drafts a player @9 for 1 year of productivity?

Whatever. You can say he was overdrafted etc., but is it beyond ridiculous to say he was a "bad NFL player."
I get that you don't agree with my statement and I respect that. I have invited you multiple times to prove otherwise. 8 seasons 3451 yards is great to you but to me that's bad. Watching him gain no yardage on almost every play was bad. Never breaking a tackle and getting stuffed at the line was bad. He had great speed but never hit the hole to use it.

Not many "bad NFL players" have a 4.8 career rushing average . . . .
You would think which such a great average he must have huge yardage and be regarded as a star right?

I'd call Karlos 1st at least he is still young lol he may be Tolberts size by now but he's young

Hopefully he sticks with them for the playoffs.
When I think of Spiller, a few things come to mind:
1. Spiller wasn't used properly post-Chan. Even after going to the Saints, a place where it would seem he was set up for success (think Reggie Bush!), he still wasn't able to recreate the success he had with Chan.
2. The waste of a high draft pick on another RB.
3. Undue hate for the guy from fans-not his fault Bill's management took a RB that they didn't need
4. The video of him talking about sponge bob
I didn't like the pick. I didn't blame him for it either. I don't like him because he was a bad NFL player.

Whatever.
4.8 yards per attempt for his career. Yeah, he is terrible.
Was he better than Henry, Jackson, Mcgahee or Lynch? We may have to bring up Larry Centers so he could be the better back.

I have no idea what happened with him and the Saints unless he lost his explosiveness due to his injuries or age. It is just plain incorrect to call him "God awful."
From what I read, he had a spectacular pre-season with the Chiefs and he was a surprise cut . . . until people realized that they had a young gem in Kareem Hunt.
The guy is in the league for 8 years and has a total of 3,451 yards that's like 400+ a year. He was the worst back the Bills have had in a very long time. He had 1 good season.

God awful?!?
You mean like when he played with a high ankle sprain even though he should not have been playing at all.
Ok I'll bite. Let's say the Bills used him incorrectly. Please show me stats where he thrived and showed how great he was on another team. I kind of recall the Saints signing him to be their new Sproles since his skill set was a match. I will admit I believed this was going to be great for CJ. I also remember he didn't do well.

That is what I was thinking. I wonder if that is why the Chiefs did not waste time picking him up again.
I would draft Shady in the first round right now.
I also think that a case can be made for drafting each of those guys in the first round.
I think the Cowboys are still happy they drafted Ezekiel Elliot with the 4th pick in the first round (notwithstanding his off the field issues).
I was fine with Lynch and Mcgahee when we picked them but the Spiller pick was a bad pick, we had a young Lynch on the team and there were more pressing needs.

Exactly. It is surprising that anyone would call him "bad."
One season does not make a Hall of Fame career. He was God awful every other season and is and was a BAD player.

I still shake my head when I think about the Bills spending a valuable draft pick on him.
Me too he was just such a bad player. The pick also made Zero sense since we had a great backfield in place.

I can't speak for the rest of you guys but I've never hated GB

I feel sick ??? I love my Bills lol

I'd take Landry and or Watkins on the Bills in 2018. Say what you want about Sammy not 1 player on the current roster is better than him at the WR position.
-
Playoff Bound no question about it

Hard to throw picks when most of your throws are to the running back
Bills add RB Aaron Green to practice squad.
