  1. I think he may turn out to be a decent pass rusher, and he ddid excel on some run plays last year, but overall not sure he is that talented vs the run, which is still the biggest problem in our front 7 I expect he will get snaps subbing for Hughes and Shaq and maybe be in a 3 way rotation of sorts - It is also time for Shaq to step it up as a 4-3 DE, after all he was a first round pick and as fans we have huge expectations A line of Kyle, Dareus, Hughes, Shaq, with Adolphus first off the bench, injuries aside, could be a strength of the team, if its supported by decent LB play jc
  2. I disagree, you don't draft anyone, especially in the first round, on the basis of need for the the current season, or who will be the 2017 QB You draft a player with the hope that he will have an overall impact over the next 5 years Besides, a 1st round WR that make plays is always a big need jc
  3. I agree with not tagging Gilmore, to some degree by picking up his rookie option last year, it was in a sense a tag, and at 11M+ we still could not work out a long term deal, and though he has the potential to be a top 10 CB, he's never had a top 10 year to date, so if it were my money I would absolutely still be offering him 10-12M a year, it appears that is not enough, so best to move on However it's no guarantee that by losing Gilmore, and or Woods, Zack, Lorenzo that we even get a single compensatory draft pick, because if for every FA you lose, they have to be replaced on the roster, so unless that's a draft pick, or a released player, signing other FA's to replace the FA's you lose nets you no such picks jc
  4. I actually love the idea of Marshall being our #2 or #3 WR in 2017 Along with using a high draft pick in this draft on a future rookie Why? First off us fans have been suffering watching mediocre wideouts play for us for now going on 6-8 years If we are not going to make the payoffs at least allow us to watch higher skills players on our field Second, the signing does not affect our compensatory picks However signing any real WR FA's does And DW and our Bills should be doing a better job trying to fill the 53 man roster with other released players The Ravens and Pats do it, why shouldn't we? jc
  5. Right now most mocks by folks who tend to get it right say Williams will go anywhere from #5 to #13 and some have our Bills taking him Davis on the other hand seems to be going anywhere from #12 to early 2nd round And just everybody has Williams being the first WR picked And some don't even have Davis going next cos Macafrrey is a unique dual RB-WR thread Its so far from the draft, this is all bound to change multiple times between now and end of April jc
