  1. Explain

"Sources have said they expect Reddick to go on Day 2 of the 2017 NFL Draft, but he is a project for the NFL because he will be playing a brand new position. Reddick's experience at his NFL position is limited to three practices and one exhibition game.

Reddick came to Temple as a defensive back before being moved to the edge. He was basically a run-and-chase pursuit defender. At the Senior Bowl, Reddick had to move to outside linebacker, but he had a solid week of practice, flying around the field and being around the ball."

  2. Seattle isn't educated. They're a bunch of tree hugging snowflakes who cling to their weed and ridiculous nonsense. They worship dips hits like Kurt Cobain and drink pbr.

    Their retarded.

    I rest my case

    Sherman is awesome

Classy. Way to go Rodrigo. Patagonia wearers > Zubaz wearers

    Hot takes !!

Are you planning on changing your name to one of the following on night one of the draft after Trubisky is selected:

    Ryan L Brownz

    Ryan L Bearz

    Ryan L Jetz

  3. Do you really believe that? You think that he would rather give up almost $27M than to play here? You really believe that?

Let's see. For his entire career, Sherman has been living in SEATTLE, a city with an educated, upper-class fanbase, where he's been to the playoffs every year, and has played in 2 Super Bowls, one of which they won. Why would he want to give all that up to come HERE, with a less educated, low-class fanbase, where the odds of even making the playoffs, let alone playing in another Super Bowl, are pretty much slim to none?

  4. In an NFL draft that is deep with running back and cornerback talent, this trade might make sense for both parties. Seattle may not get the value they are looking for with a Sherman trade with such a deep draft class. Mccoy is 28 years old and still posting big time numbers in the running game. He is under contract until 2019 with a base salary of roughly 6 million and a cap number of around 9 million per year. Sherman (also 28 years old) is under contract until 2018 with a base guaranteed salary of roughly 11 million and cap hit of 13 million. As part of the trade, perhaps Sherman would need to agree to an extension. Although McCoy would be a significant loss, I think Gillislee would be capable behind our pretty solid O line. This is a draft deep with running back talent so a rb could be drafted in the later rounds to compliment gillislee. Seattle recently signed Eddy Lacy, but McCoy would be a deadly weapon in the seattle offense especially with his ability to catch the ball. The acquisition of Sherman would solidify our secondary and add some much needed grittiness to our defense.

  5. Matchup issues indeed. I could actually see us doing what NE*** does with their two TE sets by catching teams in bad sub packages and going up tempo. Play small and we line up tight and run you into the ground; play big to stop the run and we flex both TEs to pressure your coverage packages.

The more I think about it, the more I like this idea.

  6. Not a top 10 pick. If we are dead seat on a receiver at 10, it better be John Ross. Top 10 is for your freak athletes. Not pedestrian talents.

And everyone comparing his time to Evans and Benjamin needs to remember that those guys pay the game at 235-245 lbs. If Mike Williams adds any more bulk, he's going to be slower.

Also Evans ran a sub 4.5 at his pro day.

    Why? Because he ran a 4.22 40?

  7. Sure. I hear you. Both prospects still have a lot to prove.

CD was a man amongst boys but so was a certain recent Raider of note. And what big time college programme did TO graduate from? Almost 100% of the time you have to project how a guy will transition based on the skill set you think you see. Thats why the draft is a crap shoot.

I think CD will develop into a premier WR in the bigs in a couple of years, maybe along the lines of J. Nelson ( who I know was a second round pick). And he may well be better than that. JMO.

TO was a 3rd round pick back in 1996. We're talking about someone to take 10th overall. Perhaps we should be looking at either Rashaun Simonise, or Danny Vandervoort with the 10th pick?

  8. Not surprised by this. I take your point about MW being the better # 2 opposite SW but I believe Davis may well give you most of what MW can and then much of what MW may not. So I go with the more complete player.

What happens when Corey Davis comes to the NFL, and he realizes that the corners he's going up against are actually good, and not pathetic, MAAC corners, like the ones he went up against from UB?

  9. I tend to agree with you. Williams is a blue chip prospect to be sure but he is no Calvin Johnson (though he may be another Dez Bryant). Something north of 4.5 was what I expected from him but given his game there is nothing wrong with that. His neck injury is a concern for some though.

Some also question CDs breakaway speed but though we wont get to see it now even at his pro day my guess was that he was going to run sub 4.5. and a good 5/100s better than Williams at least. There are also questions concerning his ability to separate against top level coverage viz Wisconsin and OS but he is a very good route runner and explosive out of his breaks. He has a habit of running into coverage at times but this is probably just a reflection of the physicality of his game and can be coached out of him along with the other little nits (assuming you are a believer).

For me Davis is the more complete receiver who can do everything you want and need for him to do at a high level. Neither guy is a true # 1 immediately from the get go but both can reasonably be expected to grow into that role in a couple of years. On teams with an adequate passing attack or better I think CD is the better option and were it not for the fact that Tyrod is our QB I think he'd be the perfect # 2 opposite Sammy. Thing is maybe Williams might be the better target in the short run given what appears to be the Bills situation under center.

Who would you prefer the QB to be? Trubisky? Ryan Mallett? Chase Daniel?

  10. I want this guy.

6'4, 252 with room to get bigger and stronger. His test scores were ridiculous at the combine (just like his brother). At that size, a 6.79 three cone and 4.13 short shuttle are insane.

On the old Message Board there was a formula that predicted pass rusher success in the NFL, he winds up the in category of "low risk". He checks the sub 7 second three cone, he checks the twitch rating, and he's on the cusp of cracking the explosive power rating. To put things in perspective, his scores are pretty close to being on par with guys like Demarcus Ware and Von Miller.

Watt's movement skills are truly in elite company relative to other edge rushers. This guy is going to be a 10+ sack a year player in the NFL.

I know Defensive End isn't technically a "need", but if this guy is a perennial Pro Bowler for the next decade (which his test scores suggest is likely), then we should be considering him. I don't care where he's currently being projected, this guy looks like he's going to be a special player who you can build a defensive line around.

Two questions: 1. Would he be a good fit for an attacking 4-3 that McDermott wants to run, considering he played as a 3-4 OLB at Wisconsin? 2. Does he hate Doug Whaley as much as you do?

  11.

I think it would be the perfect situation. Taylor can start for the next two years while Mahomes develops. In two years time, Brady will be gone and the AFC East will be the battle of Garappalo vs Mahomes, maybe even Darnold if the Jets have the #1 pick next year.

The 10th overall pick, even if it is a QB, should start. Otherwise, it's a complete waste.
