this board is going to impose. Genius elway chose him. Why didn't we?
Because, unfortunately, YOU aren't the Bills GM.
-
Thanks. I was waiting for someone as smart as you to steer me in the right direction.
My pleasure, Bucky.
-
Like I said, it's as if we are in the movie "Groundhog Day." But instead of waking up to Andie McDowell we wake up and watch the Bills draft 1st round corners and lose football games.
Then find another team. You're in NYC - buy a Jamal Adams jersey and become a Jets fan instead.
-
Derek Rivers, Zach Cunningham or both
Totally forgot about Derek Rivers. They had him in for a private visit, so he's a definite possibility.
Melifonwu or Cunningham. Continue to rebuild the defense.
So you're ok with the wide receivers we have, apart from Watkins?
-
Cunningham or Tim Williams. Then a WR in the 3rd
What WRs will be left in the 3rd that are worth anything?
-
I would expect Chris Godwin and Cam Robinson to be in play at 44.

Good for them, really good for them is this is what we have become. We're lackies, were other teams farm team ( Patriots )so you say if he turns out to be a franchise QB good for them. Really well it's thinking like that, that got us where we are,no playoffs going on 20 years. I embarrassd to be a Bills fan right now. All we do is draft position players and then let the walk. We are losers with a capital L. All we did was let KC come in steal the next Farve. You know that guy Andy Reid the guy with the 12th most wins in NFL history. He was so surprised and happy that the Bills were so stupid to do this trade. He decided to look at future Super Bowl ring designs after he raped the Bills. Because Mr. Reid is about to do a lot more winning with Super Bowl titles and such in his future. You see he knows what a generational talent looks like at QB. He now has his hands on Farve 2.0 in Mahomes. So spare me the good for them statement. You and all your other loser fans can go to hell. You are a bunch of has beens, living in the world of 1970 NFL football. You see today's NFL is about passing. Real good QB's like Brady, Rogers and there ilk can beat the best defense that money can buy everytime. Passing on Mahomes who happens to be the next great one will haunt this franchise for years. This is not a day to celebrate unless you a Chiefs fan. If your not in morning as a Bills fan then you have no pulse. I am truly embarrassed to be a fan of this team since 1972 right now.
When are you and jeffismagic heading out to Kansas City to look at houses?
-
Maybe Devin Thomas had it taken down
-
Keep us updated!
God I hope not a QB!
What if they trade down for Danny Vandervoort?
-
Hasson Reddick - very inexperienced at the OLB position that he would be playing in the NFL
-
Sure they have...Washington did a fair amount of it last year with Davis and Reed, as did San Diego with Henry and Gates.
Can their offensive lines pass block without one of them having to help the right tackle? Also, those teams have Kirk Cousins and Phil Rivers as their QB,
-
Why are you so stuck on the idea that the team can't run a pass play without having a TE lined up next to Mills? They did it all year long last year.
Not sure if you saw 2016, but he lead the team in receptions.
Clay led the team in receptions because Watkins and Woods were injured most of the time.
-
In the past when he was in his prime. Wood would slide over right or left because either lg, rg, or rt has been a sieve for years.
At least cogs and Glenn can now hold it down on the left side. Howard would be a real stud if they take him, he pans out, they use him correctly, and somehow re sign him to his second contract. Something the Bills bo longer can apparently pull off.
He could if he comes as advertised. Be a beast for years. When is the last time the Bills even had a competent and complete TE?
So I take you're going to line Howard up on the left side next to Cordy and Incognito, while Clay is over on the right side helping Mills pass-block?
-
Or send both out on pass routes. Either one or both will get mis-matched and TT will have a short quick pass he can throw safely. This is what Pats have been trying to do to the league but due to crimes or injuries they have not be able to execute (thankfully).
No, this is what you'll end up seeing:
TV announcer: Tyrod Taylor in the shotgun. Bills going 4 wide with Watkins, Chris Godwin (just a hypothetical), Clay and Howard. There's the snap. Taylor under pressure right off the bat and down he goes! Kony Ealey just flew past Jordan Mills for the sack on Tyrod Taylor. It wasn't even close.

Except Kizer is a 2 year starter who didn't lose his starting job after starting a handful of games. Other than that they are exactly the same.
Yes, because if there is ANYTHING that has been said about this draft it is NOT that it is one of the deepest drafts in recent memory. The more you post the more certain I am that you don't actually watch football.
Someone REALLY wants credit for this speculation
Yes please
I see you come from the school of "if I repeat the same phrase over and over my point will make more sense"
When I compared Kizer to Jones, I was saying that, like Jones, Kizer is a long-term project who needs a lot of work. Even Brian Kelly himself has gone on the record saying that Kizer made a mistake when he declared for this Draft.
-
But why give up on Howard. Take him and do to Pats what they've been doing to us for years. A big TE their LBs and corners can't cover.
The Pats have Tom Brady and an offensive line that can pass block. You take Howard, you're either asking him to help Jordan Mills with his pass blocking, while Clay is lined up as a receiver, or you're asking Clay to help Jordan Mills pass block while Howard is lined up as a receiver. In each case, you're either wasting the talent of a TE with a $9 million cap hit or you're wasting the talent of a TE you took 10th overall.
-
Maybe they're targeting a QB like Mahomes or Watson and they want to get additional picks to use for a WR and defensive help.
-
I would LOVE to see our Bills move down in the first and garner an extra high 2nd or 3rd round pick
Sure, they might lose out on a Lattimore, Foster, and or Reddick
However they still have their picks of countless solid WR's, CB's, RT's, and OLB's
Plus they get to draft another potential starting player
jc
Yep. Who needs elite talent, when you can have a boatload of picks to spend on table scraps that might just barely make the roster?
-
We don't need one to start this season, need a good one to sit and learn year 1 so he is really to take over in 2018 maybe the end of 2017.
Kizer will need at least 2 seasons on the bench, given his performance from last year.
-
Yes! Move down...twice if we can
So you're ok with letting other teams take top talent while we're left with table scraps who will barely make the roster?
-
I'm cool with a move down, grab 2 picks and use it for a player and a QB, 2 for one like they did when drafting EJ. I would think Kizer will still be availible later in round 1, maybe get lucky and get Maho or DW.
Um, I would expect that Kizer will be around until possibly the 3rd or 4th round. He's not even close to being ready to start. Essentially, he's this year's Cardale Jones.
-
I'm sure they want to move down but it all depends on how the first 9 picks go.
PIZ posted this Tweet from Joe B in the shoutbox: "ole draft day..extended version 22 Qs. Why 22? Because I love that number"
His thinking is that Joe B might be dropping hints that they'd consider trading all the way down from 10 to 22. If they do that, the'd better get a substantial haul of picks in return - like an extra 2nd and 3rd this year and a pick next year.
-
Leroi is stating that they're going to be moving down. Didn't say how far.
-
I too miss the golden years of Ralph as owner, Russ Brandon as GM, and Dick Jauron as coach.
Trent Edwards as the QB, Keith Ellison as a starting linebacker, Donte Whitner over Haloti Ngata
GM Doug Whaley has been fired
