Trump will figure it out? I have serious doubts that Trump can succeed based on his first 1.5 years in office. The tariff war with China went poorly because Trump failed to lead a unified team, and with other negotiations (NK, Iran) coming up it is worrisome.

It is exciting to think that the team has turned the corner, isn’t it? And I’m not really talking about being winners, because that is still to be decided, I’m just talking about being competently run. I still question decisions, drafting Allen or starting Peterman, and the coach’s conservative philosophy...but I no longer question whether this team has a plan. I agree that this year may be a step back in the win column, but I’m pumped regardless. I’m actually spending money on the team again, buying a jersey and grabbing tickets to the home opener instead of just waiting for the November and December games when tickets are given away. Also planning on going to Green Bay!

I just went through this thread on Twitter, not fun. Man I hope Allen can turn into a good QB, because AJ’s arm just isn’t good enough given his lack of pocket poise. But does McD throw Allen in there with such a bad WR corps and flimsy OL? Going to be an interesting season.

I’m guessing we are all rooting for Allen to turn into a player, as we are all Bills fans. But the draft was a few days ago and the dissecting of the decision is perfectly normal. For instance, I just read in another thread about how Allen has had major reconstructive surgery on a collar bone he’s broken twice. My reaction was “I really hate this pick.” Is that not allowed or preferred?

What? I didn’t know that but just looked it up, he’s broken his collar bone twice and the last one that you mentioned required a plate and screws. God I hate this pick....

Not conservative but are old school to a fault. They both seem to live in the past and ignore analytics, time will tell if it pays off but I have a bad feeling it won’t.

After a night’s sleep I still can’t believe Beane picked Allen over Rosen, and neither can most of the draft experts. When will this team get out of the dark ages?

It’s the fact that Rosen was there that makes me hate this selection. Rosen is such a better QB than Allen, but Beane and McD love the physical traits. I’ll root for the kid but I really hate this pick.
