If they went 0-16 I'd hope they lost their preseason games too.   They can't lose enough to make me happy, draft picks or not.

If the Patsies finally got caught screwing with the helmet radios, were stripped of every win this century including Super Bowls, Brady, Belichick and Kraft were convicted of fraud and jailed where one had an amorous cellmate, one started their "transition" and one found Jesus (surprise me which does which, I don't care), the Franchise is dissolved and the entire State of Massachusetts is returned to the Wampanoag tribe, citizens included...  That.... Well, I would call that a good start.

  2. One messed up part is that in the late 80's when The Cosby Show was hit, he was like America's Dad, the most wholesome guy around. I can't even think of anyone today to compare him to. When I heard somewhere in the 90's that he was a regular at the Playboy Mansion for years I was a bit skeeved out, but he was still one of the least likely people to do this kind of psycho stuff, from his public image anyway.

  3. That's just great. My tv listings show at 12 or 1PM:

Nebraska vs Michigan (on two channels)

Pittsburgh vs North Carolina(on two channels)

Kent State vs Mississippi (on two channels)

Akron vs Iowa State(on two channels)

    Navy vs SMU(on two channels)

Boston College vs Purdue(on two channels)

Georgia vs Missouri (on two channels)

    Notre Dame vs Wake Forest

    Minnesota vs Maryland

    Ohio vs Cincinnati

    Minnesota vs Maryland

    Ohio vs Cincinnati

    Lindenwood Belleville vs Indiana Wesleyan

    Robert Morris vs Bryant

    Louisville vs Virginia

And of course Nevada vs Toledo showing on CBSSN. No UB. Man, I hope that listing is a mistake. 16 different games and not the one I want. Thanks Spectrum! I'll probably watch that epic Lindenwood Belleville vs Indiana Wesleyan battle so I can tell my grand kids about it someday. The Lynx vs The Wildcats. There's also a couple of replays of games from years ago on some of the Pac-10 channels. Literally 25 channels showing college football and I am Sheet Out of Luck.

  4. We need to build a team that's going to win in the '20s, not the '00s. As the league has moved and likely will continue to move towards passing we need a great QB more than ever. You also need the right coach at the right time. Schemes have a shelf life and opposing coaches learn to defeat them. There is no perfect recipe, but basically you need to be willing to push for excellence from the GMs office to the sidelines, on the field and in the trainer's room. Someone, be it the owner or the GM, needs to build an entire organization that out competes other teams. But QB is becoming more important than ever.

  5. My God parents were my grandfathers' cousin's son and his wife. I think they were like third cousins to me. The families were a bit closer than that sounds as my grandfather lived with that cousin for a few years until he turned 18 when he moved here from Italy in like 1920 or so. My Godfather died when I was so young I don't remember him. The relationship with my Godmother and her two kids was mostly birthday cards and see them once around the holidays. I do remember being about five years old and my mother took me to see my Godmother one afternoon. My Godmother was baking for Christmas and had just finished a batch of rum balls. I didn't know what they were and thought they must be like gumballs, so I started eating a whole bunch. I still remember how strong the rum flavor was. I took a little nap right after that.

  6. I like some of the little things I saw. And don't waste your time listing all the things that he did wrong in response to this post, I saw them too. Sometimes the first step is taking one in the jaw, getting up and realizing you aren't made of glass. Then, with the butterflies are gone, you attack.

Allen is going to pick up a lot of first downs with the combination of cadence and QB sneak. Third and one should be a lot easier then we've been making it look this century. How many times have you seen Tawmy line up fast, snap on the first sound and churn his spindly legs for the first down? Let Allen work with this line or even a real one and his cadence is going to draw some penalties and keep pass rushers guessing. Right now, his own line isn't used to it. His outlet passes to the RBs were exactly where they needed to be, in stride. Tyrod had a habit of throwing high and stopping the receivers' momentum. I think his placement on more throws will improve with a decrease in adrenaline.

I like the leadership. We're gonna need it. Outside of Shady, who is the veteran leader on the offense? I don't think there is one. As far as I can tell, Clay might be Waldo, I don't remember ever hearing him speak. We're gonna need a guy wearing a helmet to hold guys accountable, the coaches can get tuned out.

  7. Start from the middle out: It's way early, but Tyler Biadasz, C, Wisconsin,  Darryl Williams C/G Mississippi State, and later round Sean Krepsz, C/G, Nevada. I want a Hull, E. Wood, Nick Mangold type who is here for ten years to provide stability and continuity for Allen.

  8. On one hand we have Darnold, the QB the Jets leapfrogged us to draft. On the other hand we have Belichik's boy. I was having trouble deciding how I want this game to end. Then it occurred to me, the best way for this game to end is with a meteor hitting Boston. Incidentally, that's also how I would like my breakfast tomorrow to end, my evening commute can end that way, too.

Wouldn't "Cannonball Run" be considered a re-make of "It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World"?

I was thinking more a remake of The Great Race, but similar yeah. The point I was going for is there are no great plot twists, no character development, no big moral lessons. It would be tough to screw up because it's just mindless goofball jokes and seeing how many cameos you can squeeze into one movie.
