  1. I was at the MNF Patriots game this year, and our crowd was lively and the pregame was electric. You wouldn't have guessed we were 2-6, had to go from Peterman to Derek Anderson, and that the result of the game was inevitable (though it was a lot closer than expected through three quarters).

Once the wins start piling up in the coming years, the night games will come, but I guess it's the league's loss on missing out on our atmosphere this year in favor of the NFCEastfests and whatnot

  2. With the 29th overall pick the KC Chiefs select Dre'Mont Jones, DT Ohio State University

WR was definitely tempting due to Tyreek's off the field issues and DK being the only one taken so far, but with Steve Spagnuolo coming in and installing a new 4-3 defense, the offense being miles ahead in efficiency, and departures of Ford/Houston, sitting back and looking for the BPA on defense seems like the most logical fit (was hoping that Greedy or one of the top 2 Clemson DL were going to fall here). Also, Tyreek himself was taken in a later round. I'm sure Reid and the FO will be able to plug-and-play a mid round WR if that's what it comes to.

He earned a starting job as a redshirt freshman and didn't look back from there as he excelled. This past year he had 8.5 sacks, 13 TFL, 2 PBU, 1 FF, and a pick six. His burst as a three-technique is evident on his highlights; since Chris Jones plays a 1-tech (from what I've read, at least), this could be an instant impact to help improve the defense.

@wppete and the GB Packers are on the clock

  3. Andre Reed's 4th and 5 catch over the middle in the comeback game, followed by the noise of the crowd when he hit his hat trick

Reich to Reed again MNF against the Rams

Kyle Williams 100% catch rate and rushing TD efficiency

    Fred Jackson posterizing Chris Conte

Marshawn against the Bengals his rookie year made me confident we had a great one

Honorable mentions for more recent plays:

Jerry getting held by Joe Thomas, forcing the fumble, picking it up, and running it for 6 all in one play

Chris Hogan's flying acrobat catch against the Vikings before Watkins' last second TD for the win against the Vikings

Tre White peanut punching the ball out of Humphries' hands to beat Tampa

Josh Allen's bomb to Foster as he was getting crunched

The entire Josh Allen highlight reel in the first Dolphins game

  4. Hmm I can't see the lions drafting Jacobs with Devin White still on the board, nor do I think they won't opt for another pass rusher if he's taken. Kerryon looked really good and also brought in CJ to help lessen the load.

I also would be surprised if the Raiders gave up their first to move just two spots. Assuming Kyler goes first, they'll still have a choice of Allen/Bosa/Williams at the very least, and that's highly imbalanced on the trade chart.

Otherwise, solid mock and lots of your later picks are spot on. I'm curious to see where Simmons will go but since the Colts have been so stingy and patient this FA, I'm not sure they'll want to pass on a day one impact player unless he's that highly rated by Ballard.

  5. Lots of hot takes and criticisms in here that I don't understand - how is he not worth the money?

Frontloading the deal only improves their long term cap situation with so many guys needing deals in the near future, and if Dallas keeps drafting as well as they have, resigning your own is a good problem to have. Whether or not this HC/QB combo can get the job done and get a title is another thing.

Well definitely not Whaley. I seem to remember John Butler being on the road scouting a lot back in the day. I think he was our last good GM.

Whaley regularly mentioned how scouting on the road was his true love; sure the results weren't there since he was better suited for a personnel role than GM, but I don't think any of us ever disliked how much he tried to work and get things right.

  7. Apparently, there are reports that the Bills used bots at the start of the poll in the tens of thousands to give us such a lead early on? That'd suck if true. Im not naive enough to think that only the titans have been skewing votes throughout this poll (not trying to take anything away from us as a whole)

Edit: sorry this wasn't clear, not the bills themselves, but someone contributing our way

  8. No. I have supreme confidence in the GM, HC, and QB for the first time in forever for the Bills. McBeane will at least have the full duration of Allen's rookie deal to continue to build the team in their vision, and thus far it seems they're doing a damn good job.

The Sabres coaching, player depth, and overall management has been a wreck. There's uncertainty whether or not Housley was even Botterill's choice - Terry's intro in his presser was that along the lines of a nostalgic fan. Phil just isn't getting the job done during the game and I'm skeptical he can lead and inspire this team off the ice, either; keeping him will probably only delay the inevitable and have him out during Christmas imo. I could say more, but I digress.

  9. Honestly, I felt he was a lot more efficient than Shady this past year for the touches he had and the way he ran. His release was expected and a little unfortunate because he wasn't really a problem with this team by any means, so with that being said, all the best to him.

Obviously, AJ is no stud. However, when he started a few years ago for Cinci, he won 2 games, lost to the later crowned SB champs, and almost beat the Steelers in a playoff game; losing only when his RB fumbled while trying to run out the clock. He also won 2 national championships in college. Perhaps , he is just a lousy practice player & shines when the games are on the line.

Yeah, on top of that he very well would have beat the Steelers if Burfict (iirc?) didn't headhunt AB...perfect match made in Oakland

  11. As long as we can stay in the "in the hunt" graphic until week 16/17 that should be a step in the right direction. There's lots of teams in the conference most would say are better than us at the moment: Pats, Browns, Chiefs, Chargers, Colts, and Texans for sure and a case can be made for the Steelers, Ravens (coaching/defense is always excellent), Jaguars if Foles works out, and the Jet$.
