I get that. That's fair. But do we know what kind of Von the Bills are getting back? Poyer and Hyde are injury prone and have a lot of mileage. What version of Tre do the Bills get? How about the LB position? Who takes over for Edmunds? Who starts besides Tre at CB? Will the Bills have a solid and consistent pass rush? Can they make 3rd down stops?

Most importantly can they produce in the playoffs? Make a key stop vs Mahomes or Burrow?

No one knows the answers. Too many unknown variables. What's know is for years under McD the playoff Bills defenses have been subpar. As a result, there's plenty to be pessimistic about.

Safe to say you’re a glass half empty kinda guy. 🫠

You have no idea how much it affected the players good or bad. This narrative that keeps playing is unfounded and created after the fact. Please stop as if its written in stone.

Let's look into the situation a little more. Prior to the Cinci game it became more clear that Hamlin was going to recover. He was alive, thankful, and had a seemingly positive attitude. The general consensus was win one for Damar! This is fate to win the SB! Fans welcomed Damar to the stadium. Signs everywhere! The Bills were the little darlings of the media. It was likely additional fuel for the players. Relief had arrived and now it was time to concentrate on football. I can specifically remember this theme throughout the days building up to the game. That's just a fact and undeniable.

Go back and look at what the posters here were saying about the Cinci game prior to the game. I can't recall one poster talking about the so called narrative you referred to. Not one! It was all about how the Bills were going to win and mostly win big.

After the Cinci ass whipping the narrative began. Some like you continue to bang that drum as if it's a fact. The fact of the matter is we will never really know the remafications. It's entirely possible that the Bills were the inferior team, get out coached, and suffered very little set backs due to the season's events. Isn't that possible?

If you watched every snap of the season as I did and didn’t see the total change in the team’s overall performance I can’t help you. They barely beat two average at best teams and got smacked by a good team. A team that had lost 3 games by a total of 8 points before that.

So you think the Dolphins had a one year window, and that’s it?  Tua’s still on his rookie contract.  So is Waddle.  Tyreek will be on the second year of his contract, and they just signed Jalen Ramsey.

No they’re good but they aren’t the Bills at full strength. It’s not who you’re playing but when you play them. Dolphins beat the Bills with 7 starters out last year 19-17 great job . This year is a new year. Bills still have JA17 & the Dolphins still have Tua. Good luck with that

  4. Everyone forgets how emotional the previous 3 weeks were before this. I actually said to my friends I’m cool with them forfeiting the season. I was emotionally spent after the Damar Hamlin ordeal. The team did their best they had nothing left. Anyone that doesn’t understand the mental & emotional toll that had in the team and the ending is totally clueless about human emotion

Benjamin Albright is reporting that the Bills are open to trading away Diggs.  I'm not sure I believe him but if true, it's one more reason to get DHop.

“I talked to some people in Buffalo on the condition of anonymity and they said that, ‘Publicly, we’re not moving him. Privately, we would consider it under the right circumstances.’”

Would be idiotic from a cap perspective. Diggs knows this . Part of the reason he’s being a dick.

The fact that he paid him a 2 year, 9.5 million dollar deal with a 3 million bonus, 5.25 guaranteed and made him more expensive to cut than to keep in Year 1 says that.

Beane doesn't bid against himself. If Harty didn't have a market, he would have been signed for the minimum peanuts like most of the veterans we signed this offseason and wouldn't have happened on Day 1.

    Excellent point

Except he’s gotten hurt every year… it’s equivalent to the Howard/Crowder signing of a year ago. A flyer/hope for the best type of signing, but not someone who should be relied upon given his history…

To the point from BFF19 his contract says he’s more than just a flyer. His contract is more than Howard & Crowder combined

It shows they really wanted him.  It doesn't show other teams did.  They made an educated guess which is often the case at the start of free agency for any team.

I disagree with this. Beane said he had a lot of teams competing against him for Harty’s services. You can not believe Beane that’s your prerogative. No reason for Beane to lie about a robust market for Harty. Don’t see your point. He’s tiny and if he doesn’t get hurt will be a valuable weapon the next couple of years. He’ll really open up things for others also. To me he’s going to be what we wanted McKenzie to be.

After the Miami game no one was talking about how the Bills players were emotionally spent. That's non sense! The team played their hearts out and won a very very close game vs an up start competitive Dolphin team who had nothing to lose.

After the game, there was no mention of the negative effects of the season's events. In fact, those events were used to display how tough and resilient the team was. It was an opposite narrative.

Then the Cinci game changed the narrative. People are always likely to believe what fits their narrative.

I agree people are always likely to believe what fits in their narrative. I believed they were done after Damar died on the field and was brought back to life. They were done that night. That’s what I believe. They played a bad Patriot team at home and needed two kickoff TD’s to beat them. They barely beat a Dolphins team at home without a starting QB barely. Then they never showed up at home VS Cincinnati. I watched every play last season . The season changed after Damar Hamlin died and was brought back to life. They tried but played 180 minutes of below average football to end the season. I saw the difference. It was very obvious.

Should they? Which position groups on the Bills are better than the Jets?

    QB, RB, WR,TE

    DL, LB, DB

    ST, & Coaching

    did I leave anything out?

The Jets won 7 games last year. 3 were 🍀 lucky. They will be drafting in the top 10 this year again after getting all the way up to #13 last year. Jets peaked last year. Hopefully Rodgers plays 65%of the games so GB gets their 1st round pick. 😝
