I disagree, and the ball appeared to touch the TEs helmet. If the ball touches a player who is OOB, the ball is then OOB.

Bills definitely got away with some calls last night, I never felt like the Refs tried to get Pitt back in it.

That was my only beef with both fumbles, they were close and should have been called turn overs, then it’s an auto review.

A simple explanation of why they called it the way they did was necessary. Romo suggested it may have touched the Pittsburgh helmet. I didn’t see it touch the video was inconclusive of that as fact. If they would have had an angle showing that then I agree the ball would be dead. But you’re missing the bigger point. Carl Cheffers said the ball was fumbled by the Pittsburgh player out of bounds. That was untrue. It never went out of bounds. Bills shouldn’t have lost the challenge. The officials were wrong on that call. A very big game changing call. After they missed the Pickens call which was an easy call on the field that they got wrong.

I thought I heard McDermott say that Dodson was closer to playing yesterday than Douglas, and Douglas says he's ready to play next week.

McDermott did say that. I guess will find out in a couple of days. Rapp would be a welcome addition next week too. I could see us play a lot of dime next week.

  3. Seemed as though the officials were openly trying to help the Steelers stay in the game. The Pickens fumble  was a pretty easy play to overturn. But then the next fumble along the sideline was clearly a recovery by Spector in bounds. The official ( Carl Cheffers)said the ball was fumbled out of bounds. The replay clearly showed it was never touched by the Pittsburgh player who fumbled while being out of bounds. Horrible officiating, but what really bothered me was the lack of explanation coming out of the challenge. It really hurt the Bills as they couldn’t challenge again. Totally irresponsible of the officials to do this to one team. I feel the officials need to explain why they called the play the way they did. I know the officials have a post game press conference did anyone see or hear their explanation of that call? With all the legalized gambling the officiating needs to be 100% transparent.

I'm confident we get Douglas , Dodson and Rapp back , no clue on Bernard, Benford, Spector,  Taron. KC is definitely a step up but they're nothing like they were in prior years, our run D with DQ back has been very good

    I'm oddly confident

If Rapp does come back vs. KC I’m thinking we play a ton of dime on 2nd & 3rd downs. Hopefully Douglas & Dotson can play too. Gotta get pressure on Mahomes with 4.

Allen with the blatant fake slide on the long run, then later draws a 15 yard penalty on a late hit on slide where the defender didn't hit his head.....but can you blame him for going for the tackle based on the fake earlier?

The slide is a play intended to protect the QB, not to do what Allen did.  That was garbage.

A blatant fake slide? JA17 in a full sprint has to make a move/decision. He chose to split the defenders and run through them. Like he usually does. TD 🙌

  6. The cold & wind is not an advantage for Pittsburgh. The only thing that will help Pittsburgh will be if it snows so much during the game they can’t keep up taking it off the field like the Colts game several years ago. That just makes the game  a scrum . But too much gloom & doom on here. PTSD from the wind game & the Cincinnati game last year. Put your big boy pants on people.

  7. The one way Pittsburgh can make this a game in my opinion is to have success with their run game especially off tackle. If the weather reports come to fruition having 5 DT’s dress makes sense. Probably have the 5th DE or Dotson be inactive.

Nick Wright actually made a point I agree with today (among many I disagree with).

He said if the Steelers lose Saturday, he expects the Bills will play significantly better Sunday knowing they're only playing for seeding.

But if Steelers win, the Bills having 24 hours digesting the added pressure will make them come out tight & play worse.

Leadership isn't as strong this year, and McDermott's voice may not be connecting like it once was. I also just believe Josh absorbs all the stress & chatter fans do.

I disagree. Bills are going into this week with a win & get the #2 seed mentality. They have a great opportunity to change the whole season around. I think we are going to play well. And if we play well we win. Predicting a Playoff Lenny call up. And he will have a roll. JA17 turns it around Sunday

Just looking at the teams in the playoffs for the AFC I think the Browns are the only ones who could beat the Ravens in Baltimore. The Bills could if they bring their "A" game but that's it. I don't see another team in the AFC who could go there and beat them and that includes the Chiefs. It just doesn't seem like it will be their year this season.

Browns/Ravens game is going to be a bloodbath. Hopefully Bills are fortunate enough to play the winner of that game for the AFC Chip. Love ❤️ our chances either in Charm City or OP 🦬

Very concerned about this matchup, even more so than the Patriots since it's a road game and the Dolphins are going to be motivated to not only bounce back from an embarrassing outing in Baltimore, but end the Bills season if that's on the table pending the results of the earlier games on Sat/Sun.

If the same team we've seen against the Chargers and Patriots shows up Miami will win and likely win big.

How would you have felt if they had all their players like they did week 4 when we boat raced them in OP. I’ll take my chances with 7 or 8 of their starters out with injuries

    C’mon dude, don’t be obtuse.

OP is pointing out that in 16 games, Harty has been disappointing. There is another guy (Isabella) siting on the bench who has shown some ability in college and aNFL. What do you have to lose to give this guy a chance?

A fumble or a bad decision to let ball bounce and lose 20-40 yards field position. Fair catch when he should return it. Harty has been underwhelming but it’s a bad time to make a move in my opinion. Didn’t they try this several weeks ago. I’ll trust the coaches on this one 😉

Ingram destroyed Dawkins when he played for Pitt in the 2021 season opener too. But maybe he’s lost a step.

Why did he sit out the first 16 weeks? Because he’s not a difference maker like he was 3 years ago. He’s an act of desperation on Miami’s part. He’s average at best. If he becomes a difference maker on Sunday we don’t belong in the playoffs

Going into the Baltimore game banged up is a nightmare for them. The Ravens are just as physical as the Niners. They will be hitting everything hard in a white jersey with the #1 seed on the line. The Dolphins could be in bad shape health wise when they face the Bills.

This is a very valid point. But it’s professional football in January. Everybody is banged up 😃
