This seems like the first FO/regime that doesn't value the running back position as much as the previous ones. And that makes me extremely happy.

Because it is a cliche and how do you know this is a Shanahan type offense? And if they are a dime a dozen, why is McCoy still on the team?
Because if you have a guy like LeSean McCoy, why would you cut him...they don't make many of those guys. But there are many Jonathan Williams out there.
Also, Rick Dennison is our offensive coordinator. Was with Shanahan for a very long time.

Also....the Bills have a Mike Shanahan-like offensive scheme. You know- the offensive scheme where any running back looks decently competent in. No one should lose sleep over this.

i think that's nuts. we've all played the "on pace" game, and it's nothing more than theory. his numbers in 2016 were not looking like that at all. my point is the huge year that some are predicting is just hope with no basis. his experience here has shown otherwise. not that it can't change, but i think it was very unlikely.
I get that. I was just being hopeful...but Tyrod and Sammy did have a pretty solid connection.
