  1. Honestly, it sucks the Bills lost but that was a hell of an effort and hopefully they learned their lesson. They actually dominated NE in that game, mistakes and bad play calling did them in. Sure the refs didn’t make a few obvious intentional grounding calls and the fantasy holding call on the Allen hit were all bad but the refs didn’t really hurt the Bills.

The Bills should hold their hold their head high, they are for real and the Bills D is the best hands down.

I think the Bills need to be considered as a legit playoff team. Clean up the mistakes and do better at calling plays and they will be damn good.

Apparently that is all you are doing, is looking at the stats of the NE games and proclaiming them to be almost unbeatable. Try looking at the actual games. NE and Buff put up almost exactly the same numbers against the Jets. Had Buffalo not turned the ball over 4 times, ended two drives due to penalties and dropped balls, they would have blown the Jets out by halftime. The BIlls dominated the vast majority of the Giants and Bengals games - again beating themselves with turnovers, penalties, and mistakes that prevented both games from blow outs out at half time.

The Bills did dominate their opponents in play. They prevented themselves from blowing all three opponents out.

The whole point of my original post was to show that they are a good team, offensively, and if they do not beat themselves, they are absolutely capable of beating of the Pats*. No matter how invincible you think they are.

    Seriously?

You may want to re-read what you posted.

You're trying to justify your claim that the Bills are just as good as NE if they play mistake free, and through 3 games they haven't been able to do that. But hey, if NE turns the ball over and commits a bunch of penalties (and they get flagged for them) they would be just as bad as Miami.

Good post. The Bills are a pretty good offensive team:

4th in the NFL in touchdown drives of 70+ yds

5th in the NFL in scoring (TD & FG) drives of 70 + yds

    5th in redzone pts

    5th in redzone TDs

6th in net yds per drive

8th in net pts per drive

5th in net drive success rate (percentage of down series that result in a first down or touchdown)

    5th in TOP

The Bills have moved the ball well in their three games. The difference between the games being close or being blowouts came down to 3 things: (1) Turnovers, (2) Penalties in critical situations, and (3) Poor offensive play in the 3rd qtr of each game:

Drives Tot Net Yds Scores TD FG Missed FG Safety INTs Fumbles Punts
    1st Qtr 11 425 4 3 1 0 0 1 1 5
    2nd Qtr 7 281 2 1 1 1 0 1 2 1
    3rd Qtr 7 73 1 0 1 0 1 1 0 4
    4th Qtr 8 383 4 4 0 0 0 0 0 4

If, on offense, the Bills can eliminate the turnovers and critical penalaties, as well as improve their 3rd quarter play; and, on defense, continue to play as they have, they absolutely can beat the Pats*

Always entertaining to hear from fans who will go to any length to explain why the Bills aren't a good team

This post is what happens when children try to participate in adult conversations

None of this matters. Both Buffalo and NE have played poor teams. The difference is NE clobbered those poor teams and the Bills struggled. Sunday will be the hardest game for both teams and we will see what happens. Can't just look at the stats right now and claim a team is good. Look at KC, they've had 1 hard game vs Baltimore and until they face NE they have an easy schedule and I'm sure they will have all sorts of crazy stats, then they will head to NE and get beat. Sure they will make the playoffs and likely loose in the first round, why? Because they played an easy schedule.

The Bills played the Jets, Giants and Bungles, not really juggernauts and yea they won all 3 games but they should have dominated the Giants and the Bungles and really should have scored more vs the Jets. NE beat the Steelers 33-3, Miami 43-0 and the Jets 30-14. Sure they are not strong teams but they dominated and took care of business.

    “The EYEBALL test does not”.....

.....whose eyeballs? Yours!? Cuz holy **** u need a new prescription.

i love this “NE hasn’t faced any adversity so far”...in 3 games, after playing in the playoffs for the last umpteen years and the last 4 superbowls THEY havent faced adversity. They ain’t used to it. Wow yo. I’ve seen some very dumb **** here but this is some DUMB ****. I knew the homer bs would get bad after we won against the bengals but DAMN.

Just to add on, NE still has Brady at QB and BB as the coach.

Have to agree with Jo, NE is still NE and the D is playing great.

The Bills struggled in games they should have dominated and NE dominated the games they should have.

Sunday we will know what this version of the Bills are made of.

  5. It’s been 2 games...the Jets and the Giants are both hot piles of garbage and the Bungles are in Buffalo Sunday. Let’s just see how they do Sunday against more garbage and then the following week vs NE. How they play vs NE will be the true test, close gritty hard fought game that ends in a loss and we know they are getting better, a win and we know they’ve arrived a blowout loss and we will all be saying they are pretenders.

Between Big Ben being out for the season and seeing someone on the board say that Josh Allen was a top 3 QB in the AFC, it got me thinking where does Josh rank in the AFC?  Being that six teams make the playoffs, being a top six quarterback is what is ringing important to me (in this moment, obviously you’ll want better as his career goes on). After ranking the quarterback’s, I find Josh sitting just outside of the top 6, and that’s even with a little Buffalo bias in ranking them.

    TIER ONE - Elite

    1. Mahomes, 2. Brady

    TIER TWO - Franchise Starters

    3. Rivers, 4. Baker, 5. Watson

    TIER THREE - Jury’s Out

    6. Lamar, 7. Josh, 8. Dalton, 9. Carr, 10. Mariota, 11. Darnold, 12. Flacco

    TIER FOUR - ???

    13. Brissett, 14. Minshew, 15. Rudolph, 16. Rosen

The five in the top two tiers are undeniably better than Josh Allen right now.  As per the year’s end, who knows, a poor year from Baker and Watson and real progression from Josh could slide him ahead of them two.  But to call him a top five quarterback in the AFC isn’t much more than crazy talk right now.

But the real question, is it reasonable to rank Josh above the quarterback’s that I have him above? Would you put him above Lamar Jackson?  There’s arguments to be made to put Derek Carr and Andy Dalton above Josh Allen, but with his first two performances this year Josh is making himself a case.

While he’s not making pin-point, Drew Brees level throws, Josh has taken a major step forward in his passing game and that shouldn’t be debated.  There’s some off-target throws like the deep pass to Brown and the across endzone throw to Zay Jones, but there’s also incredible throws like the two dimes that he made on the run.  He had a rough game against the Jets with his turnovers, but I’ve albeit attributed that too bad ball luck. He was leading drives in those games and he was throwing with much improved short accuracy.  The balls aren’t perfect, but he’s doing a great job of putting them within the receivers catch radius and at the end of the day that’s all you need to do.

It goes much much further than that too.  One thing that he’s had since returning from the injury last year is his composure and control of the game.  He’s been a baller if nothing else. He goes into the game determined to win and often times it seems he’s playing his best ball in the fourth quarter.  Then you’ve got to consider the fact that the athleticism too his game no longer seems to be sporadic. Last year Allen would run too early against the pressure or just look too run before keeping his eyes downfield.  This year it really seems like he’s taken care of his athleticism and is only running when necessary. His pocket movement has been phenomenal, and he has kept his eyes downfield looking to make plays. The checkdowns are a huge improvement from last year.  I find myself murmuring good play under my breath multiple times a game when no one’s open and Josh simply throws it out of bounds or at his receivers feet instead of making a bonehead decision - which he still does by the way, the ill-fated passes are still a part of his game even though he is making progress.

With the upgrade in talent around Allen and his progression, I think by the end of the year you may be able to easily call him a top six quarterback in the AFC, but where do you have him at right now?

How is Rivers TIER TWO? he does more with less every single year.

Rivers is TIER ONE and Brady (as much as we all hate him, is the the unquestionably #1 QB in the entire NFL).

I think as of now it’d look like:

    1. Baker

    2. Lamar

    3. Allen

    4. Darnold

    5. Rudolph

    6. Rosen

Obviously I think this has shaped out to be a pretty darn good group of QBs. I think Allen could potentially be the best QB of that class but I never expected Lamar to be so good, what a shocker! I had to put him #2 but he could simply be hot water, who knows?

Is Lamar really that good? They have played 2 of the worst teams in the NFL in Miami and Arizona, also consider the best corner in the league wasn't playing this week when they played Arizona. I think he's had 2 great games but we need to see how he plays agains better teams. If he continues to play this well, then I think he's progressed faster than any of the other QBs in the class and could possibly be the best of the group.

Once again everybody dumps on Zay while Foster continues to go MIA (except for his dropped past). It's unreal and incredibly inconsistent. I get the Zay hate, but I don't get the unchecked Foster love when talking about which WR should go. Neither are doing much, but at least Zay can block.

Honestly, Fosters role was insignificant so his drop went unnoticed. Zay seemed to be out there more and had more targets. I was actually more asking if I had missed an injury to Cole, probably not the best wording or phrasing in my original post but that was more my intent.

That all said, I’m not a Zay fan and really don’t understand how he sticks around, but I suppose it could be worse we could all be Miami fans.

Zay provides some blocking, I guess maybe that’s why he’s in, making the defense think it’s a running formation.

Was just odd, I didn’t remember seeing cole out there at all in the 3rd and the offense stalled big time. Zay seems to drop more than he catches, I get the blocking aspect but imagine they could roll someone else out there that can at least catch.

If your theory is correct, why would he need to bother turning down Buffalo? Or is it your assertion that the stiff arm to Buffalo was done to help make his agreement to go to Oakland appear more plausible?

Honestly I don't think he turned Buffalo down. I think during talks Bean got the impression there was going to be some issues and didn't want any part of AB.

In turn AB took to social media to talk ***** about Buffalo because his feelings were hurt.

Either way the NFL should do something about the entire situation but won't.

  11. I never understood that hire. Gase was horrible with Miami and the Jets were center stage for that mess just like the rest of the AFC East, so why would you want to bring that in as your coach? Darnold is a promising young QB and you risk destroying him with ***** coaching. The Jets are a serious mess.

  12. His plan all along was to play in NE. NE offered a first round pick for him and Pittsburgh said NOPE, they are the smartest team in the NFL because they refuse to trade with NE.

AB was pissed so he worked a deal with one of the dumbest teams and then acted like a fool just to get out of his contract so he could sign with NE. Anyone thinking that wasn’t the plan all along is just kidding themselves.

that all being said NE doesn’t care about the charges, he will play and he will be one of the top WR in the NFL and his option for next year will be picked up.

The NFL has enough to suspend him for actions detrimental to the league but didn’t. They also have enough to conduct an investigation into tampering by NE but they won’t.

bottom line is AB brings attention to the league and that’s all they care about.

  13. 24 of 37 (64.8%)

    254 yards

    1 TD

    2 INTs

Not sure how that's horrible erratic or inaccurate.

This is true, but seriously they are NYG fans, what the hell has that team shown the past 2 seasons that they can go out on talk ***** about anyone else?
