    Adding to the Daboll didn't get along with Micky D argument is the Brian Flores class-action suit.  

     

    “Ironically, during their January 11, 2022, text exchange, Mr. McDonnell also suggested that if Mr. Flores were hired as the Giants Head Coach, Brian Daboll might be interested in leaving Buffalo to serve as his Offensive Coordinator (‘Heard Daboll isn’t happy with Sean [McDermott] in Buffalo . . . might be able to get out if he doesn’t get a head job. . . thoughts?’).”

    You'll get another corner in the first round plus 4 additional defensive free agents and you'll like it!  

     

    This is the problem with hiring a defensive head coach before hiring a GM.  Now the org is stuck with a lackey GM who coincidently prioritizes the defense.

    Young is a potential cornerstone defensive player that this defense could build around for the next decade.  Very different from everyone in that group apart from Von who is way past his prime.

    How they look right now is irrelevant. Too many people are worrying about something that has no relevancy to how they are going to look heading into the playoffs.

     

    Being 7-6 cost them home field advantage in the 13 seconds game.  They probably win that game if it was in Buffalo.  

     

    So yeah, how they look right now is relevant.

    Something that has become a massive issue since Dorsey took over is the play getting in too slow.  There are way too many offensive plays where they are rushing to get it off.  It has cost them important timeouts too.  

     

    I don't remember it being so bad when Daboll was the OC but I could be misremembering.

    Man, we're really going to spend all season talking about how great this offense is statistically.  Then the postseason will roll around and this offense is going to struggle against a high level defense like last year.  

     

    Then the offseason will be about adding more talent while the young guys continually fail to progress and contribute.  They really replaced Daboll with the offensive equivalent of Fraizer.

    of course we did fire our lose DC after top 3 finishes so who knows! Fun fact, our defense isn’t top 3 right now. 

     

     

     

    3rd overall on points per game on defense.  1st is 49ers at 14.5, 2nd is Chiefs at 14.7, and the 3rd is the Bills at 14.8.
