Only 2 things. Allow TT to throw more and see Sammy finally fulfill his potential during a injury free season.
-
From an optimistic viewpoint I see the weak Carolina defense as vulnerable. Denver has no elite QB. We destroyed Cinncy last year. The Charger, Saints & Colts games are winnable. If we can beat Carolina and start 2-0 it could be a very interesting year? Maybe Brady and Ajayi go down with injuries mid year? And on a final note the Raiders notoriously play horrible in Buffalo.Coaching has kept this team out of the playoffs the past 2 years. Way too many close games decided by blunders or lack of discipline.
We don't know what we have in McDermott, but I love what I've seen so far. If he can turn this talented team into a disciplined, motivated unit that actually shows up to play each week, 10-6 or even 11-5 is possible.
-
That's really all we can do. Try to draft Williams or Davis. Pray Sammy can bounce back and produce. If he continues to have injury issues then he'll be done. We could even target Zay Jones in the 2nd round. Any way you slice it we're going to draft a wr in the 1st or 2nd. This will be a final season for Whaley & Watkins to prove us wrong.
-
Trade value not that good. Might as well play him and see what happens. I don't think they will pick up his option either.
Draft someone, play Sammy, and hope it pans out...the Buffalo way!
-
i think it would be great to win against carolina.
especially because he used to coach there
I think week 2 at Carolina will dictate what direction this team goes in...I think we'll destroy the Jets at home with TT.
-
No I think everyone just wants to make sure it is over in time to be back on their couches by 4:20
Between this lousy schedule and the Sabre firings, I think it's time to fire up a fatty....
-
The NFL will never do anything heroic favoring Buffalo. Scheduling bunched games with the Patriots & Dolphins to end the season is just another middle finger by the league toward the Bills. I've been saying for years teams like us and Jacksonville are just "Schedule Filler" for the NFL golden teams.
-
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that this is not a playoff team. I await the Vegas over and under numbers. Thinking the line will be between 6 and 7 wins.
To be clear, yes I would feel better if my team's management had basic roster evaluation abilities with regard to how it stacked up to the rest of the NFL.
We have the 5th hardest schedule. The NE/Mia end of year games make no sense. 5 wins will not get us Darnold.
-
What's with the Patriot/ Dolphin alternating games at the end of the year. Very unusual for them to bunch games like that together at the end of the season and not spread them out? Maybe Marsha we'll have a career-ending injury in week 12....
-
We have to earn our way back into the good graces of the NFL before they start dishing out multiple prime time games. 7 wins every year won't cut it...
-
I'm upset we are awarded only 1 primetime game... thursday night at KC.

Maybe I'm just in the minority of people who aren't too concerned if MG leaves. I certainly wouldn't call RB a need at that point.
Bang have you lost your marbles. We're the number one running team in the NFL and I'm sure we plan on continuing that scenario. If Shady goes down and we don't resign Gillislee, Tolbert or some unproven rookie will be anchoring our number one running offense. For god sakes just pay TD Mike and be done with it, he's worth every penny. And it will still leave us a little cap space to maneuver the draft picks. Let's not get sucked into New England's plan every year by forcing us and a corner. And frankly Gillislee is worth more than a 5th round pick considering his production the last two years

Doug Whaley is on borrowed time and we all know it. His power position with this organization has clearly diminished over the last few months. And unless he hits one out of the park with this upcoming draft, he's pretty much gone. His legacy will be the disaster of EJ Manuel and the over valuing of Sammy Watkins. Not to mention a couple of contracts that were way more than they should have been with Dareus and Clay...
-
I think most all of the Gronk "appearances" are staged. Does he really want to be viewed as "that guy"?
Too bad Melissa McCarthy wasn't right next to him...
-
Moulds and Butler would be at the top of my list with Fred. Invite Doug to run out and lift the curse.
-
We could pick any of about 7 different players if we stay at 10. Who knows??
-
One guy played in a pro style offense under Mike Sherman.
The other played in the spread and was in shotgun all the time.
I'm not saying Trubisky isn't accurate, but EJ Manuel completed 68% of his passes his last year at FSU. Is he accurate?
When we made the disastrous decision to draft Maybin it was based on a very small body of work. That's what scares me about MT. Only 13 college games under his belt? Accuracy and arm strength similar to EJ. Would it be the same result. I personally don't think any of the top 4 qbs are 1st rounders.
-
He is no longer GM. McDermott is.
I agree. Why in God's name do you even need GM's. Every NFL team should be run by the head coach. Including player personnel issues. They select the players that fit their scheme. Simple as that!
-
Tolbert's better days are behind him. We have to sign TD Mike or we're screwed big-time if Shady goes down. Pay him. A 5th round pick for him is garbage.
-
Looks like the NFL tried to retain him by offering him final say on all replay reviews and he still turend it down...
Not even replay can mask the deficiencies of these incompetent refs. Blandino sees this and wants no part. Maybe they'll stick Phil Luckett in the N.Y. booth.
-
10. Davis with Williams close 2nd
44. Juju with Zay close 2nd
We land any of these 4 and it will help compliment Sammy in our run first offense.
-
Fred Jackson would be sweet but it's probably too soon for him to be doing that
Never too soon to bring Fred back.#instantstandingovation

Of course most fans are hoping a trade down deal comes through. Obviously we need to find a partner willing to give us a good deal. We have no 4th pick. It's a deep draft for db's. There will be very good players there between 12-18. And finally TT's restructured deal is hardly a ringing endorsement to his long term position with the Bills. Maybe we take Watson, Trubisky or Mahomes @ 10? But I think at least 1 of these 3 qbs will be there between 12-18....trade down at all costs...we desperately need more picks.

BB has never broken rules. BB knows the rules better than anyone on earth and takes advantage of that knowledge. The Patriots didn't build a dynasty on cheating. They built a dynasty built on being better and smarter than the other 31 teams.
That's so true. I don't call him the mad scientist for nothing. He exploits every team and knows the weakness of every team and every player on that team. Sure it helps to have a Hall of Fame quarterback like Brady, but let's not forget Bill Belichick might be the best head coach in NFL history.
