  1. Hard to remember a worse draft than 2013, as evidenced by our roster

Just look at the list briefly, it was pretty bad for the 1st round but there is some good picks after that with the likes of DeAndre Hopkins, Travis Kelce, Robert Woods, Jamie Collins, and buffalo fan favorite.... Mike Glennon

  2. You think the Chargers and Saints would be better without their QB's? Or that drafting QB's has harmed them?

Are you just trolling? If you didn't read my post before then I can see why you're confused. I'm implying it's a team game, stating we just need to get a franchise qb will solve all our problems is just foolish. Yeah would it help, damn straight it would, but you cannot neglect all the other positions because you have a franchise qb.

Even Brady needed his number 1 scoring defense to win the Super Bowl this past season.

  3. Suppose the team's favorite QB is Mahomes, and they have him ranked as the 20th player on their board.

They figure it's smart business to acquire more picks, so they drop back to, say, 18th, figuring that he'll still be available.

Now suppose that they aren't alone in having Mahomes as their QB1, and a team like Arizona takes him at 13 to groom behind Palmer.

That's a bad day at the office--losing out on your preferred option in the name of garnering more picks.

    A waste?

Get the right QB and the remainder of the "holes" on this team will matter a whole lot less.

Drafting to fill holes is how teams end up reaching.

You mean like reaching for quarterback? Yeah, tell that to the chargers and saints. They both have future HOF QBs, yet, they are still on the outside looking in. Hmmmmm I wonder why?

  4. Also great players rarely make good coaches, in any sport.

Exactly, It's usually the guys that aren't superstars but do their jobs and never attempt go out do their realm. For example, mike vrabel, Steve Kerr, and Phil Jackson. All of the aforementioned individuals were part of winning teams as players but weren't the franchise player or superstars of their respectable teams but played an essential part in their team's success and now are making/made their names as coaches.

  5. Kelly wasn't the football god that everyone seems to be annointing him as..

He was above average, to great at times.

Four trips with no jewelry says otherwise.

    Promo said it well.

    Above average?! 😂😂

How would we be 6 time SB champs? We went 4 times and were soundly beaten 3 times. Only Norman's wide right was close.

We dominated a weak AFC but were not dominant in SBs.

We actually also had a 14-2 record against the NFC during that run. We saved our worst game for last :/

Happens when you play so many football games.

  6. Not to bash you post in particular and I agree your right. I truly believe his numbers kinda sucked due to running in the secondary wide open and not getting thrown to as well.

Problem is this, many did not want to "Pay" him like they are actually paying him. If he goes on to have big numbers or solid career with the Rams the hang Whaley gang that said not pay him will have their pitchforks out to fire him.

At least this is how BBMB worked. I hope it's different here but doubt it.

I won't hang him, I think he did what's best for the team currently, can't foresee the future.

  7. I wish it was a final push out the door!

I can see Brady trying to break into the facility and engage in practices even after he is retired.

Like Kobayashi did when he failed to enter the hot dog eating contest and ran onto the stage and started to shove those boiled weiners down his gullet, now that's a competitor.

That's a really good one, though. Sox fans who lived through that had to wait as long as we have.

The Sox and Cubbies give me hope, even with all the hardships we've endured as fans.
