I got an infraction for calling that object that someone threw out on the field last year a "dildo." Which you know.. it was.
Then I got an infraction for avoiding the bad word filter by spelling Hooker's last name "H.O.O.K.E.R" and standingbuffalo and I got into a huge argument about how dumb that was, to the point of me having to take a 2 month break from that hell hole because of their Gestapo mods.
Then I finally got suspended for simply participating in a thread that had turned political, telling people no one gave a damn about which of the two shinier turds they voted for.
I want to wish BBMB a "Rest In Peace"... but instead I hope it burns in hell along with it's Fahrenheit 451 and Nazi Germany-esque moderation and censorship.
not to keep harping on the old board because it's over, but my favorite infraction I received was one for responding, "ewwww" to a thread suggesting we bring in mike vick. it was a non-expiring point. the reason for getting the point: going off topic.
i actually wasn't off topic on the thread at all, and the comment wasn't even in the ballpark for something that warrants a non-expiring point. when i complained about it, i was told tough ****, and that i could always go to a new board. looks like we're here.
ok...i'm done venting.

The fact that you had such problems with standingbuffalo & not with MASH tells me that they definitely didn't treat everyone the same across the board.
Nevertheless, I'm done talking about the BBMB, and from this point on will refer to it only as "that other place."
there were definitely targeted posters...not that i didn't deserve a lot of what i got though. i'm with you though. this place is a re-birth.

Read and obey the Code of conduct helps...
i had problems that i brought myself too, but two of the mods put a very personal spin on it. what's done is done, but there's no doubt that in real life, they're a couple of low end individuals.

Again, taking the time to talk to someone and get to know them goes a long way.
He was trying and had some really good ideas but the other mods had a different opinion.
He handed me a few infractions, some I didn't really agree with and we had PM's back-and-forth about them and in the end agreed to disagree on those topics but never once was he rude or disrespectful to me. He took the time to hear my point of view and I extend the same courtesy back to him based on his polite responses.
I guess it all depends on the individuals.

I personally found StandingBuffalo to be a very good mod. There were some difficult choices to make but in my interaction with him I found him to be very open minded and polite. I think some people just didn't want to give anyone the time or consideration.
Its possible to disagree with someone and keep it polite. In the end we are all fans of the Buffalo Bills and we all want to see the team succeed.

Terry Pegula's skin is so thin it's incredible.
A few months ago it was Whaley's press conference, the media skewering Pegula and him doing an interview the next day on his terms with the AP because he didn't like what was being said about him, and now they shut down the Message Board and risk alienating thousands of fans because they can't handle a little criticism.
It's unbelievable. I didn't think it could get any worse than Ralph, but I'm beginning to think I was wrong. This guy has no clue what he's doing.

I'm just glad Teef finally has a platform that will allow him, nay, encourage him to loosen his belt and eat as much cake as we can stand to watch him cram down.
