    They made the right call today. By the NFL rulebook, that’s not a penalty (at least the way I understand the rules)

    Both were making a play on the ball. Dix had his eyes on the ball all the way. He was not even looking at Benjamin. Both guys have equal right to the ball. Contact is incidental because the DB was making a play on the ball.

    Taron Johnson with a huge hit! Hes lucky he didn’t get called for leading with the helmet though (not that I think he should have, just saying with the way the NFL is right now...)

    Couldn’t agree more. Had he made an aggressive catch, he could have run right through Clinton-Dix. Instead, he got knocked out by a guy who’s much smaller than him. For such a big, heavy WR Kelvin Benjamin sure doesn’t play like it.

    NOBODY open on that play. Not sure what Allen could have done there.

    Watch the replay. Clinton-Dix was not even looking at Kelvin Benjamin. His eyes were on the ball all the way. Both he and Benjamin were going for the ball. They both have equal right to do so. The contact is incidental because of that.

    100% agree. I’d be pissed if I were Matthews. And this new roughing the passer rule is ridiculous.

    It’s because Clay Matthews has been flagged for roughing the passer like 3 times this year on hits that were pretty much exactly the same. I think it’s more about where the NFL is at right now (rule wise, and call consistency wise) than it is about them booing the hit itself.

    The fact that hit had to even be talked about as a potential roughing the passer call is ridiculous.
