They're taking what every other person who has a drug problem is taking. Let's not assume it was drugs. Maybe he had a mental break. It happens all the time. I see it all the time in my line of work. People do weird things, as if they were on drugs. The body is a mysterious thing at times.

No way that's a mental breakdown... read the details of the incident again and try to convince yourself that was a mental breakdown.

Your welcome. Now you do not need to waste time reading the link.:)

I'm seriously wondering if Zay will ever play football on his own terms ever again let alone at what the team or the NFL might do to him. This is a serious situation. If Zay had a mental breakdown that's one thing but the types of drugs that might have triggered this situation are enough to get you suspended or cut very quickly. He's very lucky he still alive after that kind of detachment from reality

So much goes on with players that we don’t see, yet they still have a job. Social media can ruin someone quick these days. Unfortunate.

I agree with you their, wouldn't be surprised by that at all. I just think the notion that they went and scooped him up from the courthouse, Beane and McDermott have a little conversation with him, then stop off at a McDonald's drive thru and go to the pro day is hilarious.

I also think that this experience bettering him is crazy optimistic. Not wrong, just really a positive view point. Which isn't a bad thing, I'm admittedly the opposite usually in my world view.

In terms of this making him better, I’m going off what we know about the kid. He’s been A-1 in terms of character throughout his life until this unfortunate incident. If he was Aldon Smith, I wouldn’t be giving him the benefit of the doubt.

While I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case, has this been confirmed? He was there with Bills brass?

Just speculation. Zay has been in Buffalo all offseason. It could be a coincidence he was there at the same time as the Bills brass for some offseason fun. Not sure if teams are actually allowed to bring their players to a workout for a draft prospect in the first place- probably against NFLPA rules.

The Bills are at USC pro day. I wonder if they had a face to face meeting with Zay at any point today after his release? He was at USC medical center.

I’m sure Beane took a trip to the hospital. Considering they’re also there to workout Rosen/Darnold, they had to take Zay along with them. I’m sure they’ll support him through this. Anyone who thinks he’s getting cut, that his career is over, or that he sucks is just overreacting. This will be a powerful learning experience for him, one that will make him better than ever as a man.

Zay Jones Dad’s side of the family has had a rough history of mental illness. His Grandpa murdered his Grandma. His one uncle got a arrested for murder. Other uncle overdosed on cocaine. Another uncle committed suicide. We don’t know what happened but hoping for the best

     okey doke

Didn’t know all that... my goodness

  8. I don’t know Zay personally, but from everything we know about the kid, his family/character is first class. I’m sure this is just a bad trip. I hope he gets the support he needs and overcomes this. This kind of embarrassment could ruin someone.

Anybody but Rosen.  Can't see him wanting to be here, can't see him fitting with this regime (doesn't "trust the process"), already said he didn't want to be in Cleveland, fragile.  I don't believe we would ever take him, and I will be bitterly disappointed if we do!

Kelly didn't want to be here... that turned out well.

    Come Join the NAAFL!!!

If you like fantasy football, but you're looking for something a little more realistic and hardcore, you just might be interested in the North American Action Football League (NAAFL).

(Please read all of this for a complete understanding of the league)

What is a simulation league you ask? Well, it's fantasy football on steroids. In this league, each team is responsible for managing a full 53 man roster. This includes managing a salary cap, drafting rookies and free agents, trading players, and creating and submitting game plans for each game. This isn't your Grandma's Fantasy Football League.

There are 4 divisions In this league and 2 divisions in each conference. The divisions are named
after some of the best players ever to play in the NFL and all of them are Hall of Fame players.

In the NAAFL, there are 20 teams and owners. Owners can also have staff members, as designated below, to whom they will delegate out responsibilities and help manage their team. We are always looking for more members to participate as owners and staff members.

If you are lucky enough to be chosen to own a team in the NAAFL (when one becomes available) you have complete freedom to change the team name, location, and logo. Additionally, there are a few rules set aside for new ownership to help you start off on the right foot. HOWEVER, even if there are not any teams available for ownership, there are always looking for assistance in the form of a General Manager, Head Coach, or Team Adviser.

    Team owners

Owners are strongly encouraged to allow other members to help contribute to their teams. Owners can hire staff members to help your team. Here are all positions that are recognized by the league:

    • Team Owner - Only 1 allowed (No co-owners)
    • GM - Only 1 allowed (No co-GM's)
    • Head Coach - Only 1 allowed (No co-coaches or position coaches) cannot submit Trades
    • Team Adviser - Unlimited number, however, Advisers have no direct contact with the league as far as Game plans or trades being submitted.

Owners are not required to fill all of those positions. Some teams are comfortable with just 1 person on the team while others have 4-5 members of their team.

Owners will always have the final say on their team, and have the right to hire and fire any message board member to participate on their team. Any owner who abuses this power in any way will be stripped of the ability to do so. Also, there should never be any money exchanged for any reason, and if anyone is caught doing anything along those lines, the owner and the parties involved will be excluded from league participation.

Here is a quick rundown of the league
    :

    • League consists of 20 teams with a full 53 man roster
    • Both rookie and free agent drafts are held each year
    • There is a Salary Cap of $125,000,000
    • We submit game plans and roster lineups for each game
    • The top 5 teams in each conference make the playoffs
    • You are asked to contribute to the NAAFL forum to help make the league thrive (This is important, and required)

Here is a link to NAAFL League Staff if you want to see what teams may need help or if you just want to see who is in the league.

If you are interested in learning more about the league, please post in the main forum or in the Team Job Openings Forum:
