    Ok?

Watkins was a key reason the Chiefs won the Super Bowl. You could argue without him they don’t win. My point was his comparison of Watkins to Clowney and not wanting that type of talent is a ridiculous statement.

I hear ya. My point is I don't believe anybody would not want that talent. But in relationship to money and production, as well as specific scheme and other factors, sometimes it just don't fit

Watkins just won a super bowl and was the leading receiver in the playoffs and key contributor to why the Chiefs won the Super Bowl..... agreed, who needs talent like that? ?

yet he's not their #1. He led receivers in playoffs because everyone concentrated on Hill. Thats why he didn't sign a new contract conducive to a #1 WR. Not saying he's not talented, but in Buffalo he was a #1 and would have required #1 money. And that, not necessarily due to faults of his own, did not match production.

As it relates to your TP supply worries, my neighbor has a similar concern.  He has started buying the local newspaper and is stockpiling them as a fall back.  He did comment that the future use is of more value than the information printed therein....can't say that I disagree.....lol

My betting advice is to hit the under heavy on weeks where at least one of the teams has a short week of preparation.

newspapers work, but coffee filters are cheaper, and flushable?

OK but still why did they single out  lineman, why not a different position to require a certain amount?  Is the idea they don't want teams to have too many "skill" position players active?

not sure the "why". just what I read. I'm assuming the coaches wanted it in the CBA

A few thoughts as I think about how to play the upcoming season.

    1.  If there is a shortened/limited training camp I am going to hammer under's early in the season.  Defense is always ahead of offense in training camp.

    2.  I'll play against any new coaches/coordinators early and often

    3.  Going to prioritize older rosters, figure the vets are going to learn faster and possibly know how to come in more prepared physically

    4.  probably will lay off all pre season win total bets

    Any other thoughts?

    other thoughts? I got one...

who cares about betting on a season that may or may not even be played? I'm more worried about my toilet paper supply at this point of the pandemic. and that's really my only other thought. Sorry if I didn't add much content to your thread

Has anyone heard an explanation as to why in the new CBA you're required to dress 8 O lineman each week?  Why not require 6 WR or 7 DB's, how come they singled out the line like that?

you are not required to dress 8 OL each week. however, you may now dress 55 on game days, provided that you activate 8 OL. In other words, you can go with 53, or 55. If you go 55, then 8 of those must be OL, which would leave you 1 extra position that can be active on gameday....if I understand correctly

Agree with almost all he writes, except this: "Another is the Ravens have a major advantage over Buffalo at the quarterback position with Lamar Jackson over Josh Allen." I question that. At this point, I would say they're about even. Jackson is a better runner, and Allen is a better passer.--but there is not much separation either way. I would say its about even right now.

Im with ya there. Its not a "major" advantage IMO

Not the case...Dalton is WAY better than Kyle Allen (as an example). Same thing

Additionally, Cam is coming over the injuries and there are no more physicals by the NFL. Who would trade for that contract without medicals? Nobody, which is why he’s being released.

I get that. Guess the money for unknown health status is just too much for even a late rd draft pick.

A good organization needs a talent pipeline when they lose talent.  Seems like losing Beane and others hurt Carolina.

One of the under rated efforts by Beane is to create depth in the front office talent pool.  This will protect the organization when someone moves on.

very much so agree with this!

The Panther’s front office is a clown show.

They left themselves no leverage in any trade and teams new it.
Why would you take on a 21 million contract when he was going to obviously get cut?

I think he ends up with NE or the Chargers.

     He wants to start

What a fall from grace for that organization. I lived in Statesville area for many years and they always seemed to be a well run team. My how times have changed!

At least when we become Panthers North we are signing good players. Vegas is gathering Bills garbage. Whose next Jordan Mills? ?

Panthers North is funny. I moved to Charlotte Nc the day the Panthers played their very first NFL game. Guess what they were referred to as? You guessed it... Buffalo South. Reich, Metzallars and others. Suppose we've gone full circle lol

One teams failed physical is another teams waterboy.

But I'm sure Denver wanted a failed physical in this case.

could be. But he had a right to get a second opinion. I'm not sure, but either way, he's toast imo
