Too bad Josh didn't get the memo 'til now. Leaders lead, not go off galivanting in the off season like he won a super bowl or something.

Nah. He’s supposed to lock himself in a room and reviewed film all offseason. Give me a break.

One reason for optimism with this situation. Other than QB there is no other position in the current NFL where a player can step in and make an immediate impact. You see it every year, and it doesn't always have to be a top 10 pick. Just look at what GB did with their rook wide outs. And add in Josh...I think Beane does have a plan, I think he will try to trade up in top 15 to get a stud. If not he will certainly double up in this draft.

Anybody else remember how Diggs dropped a perfect bomb from Allen in the 4th quarter against KC, and then on the most crucial play of the game Allen ignored his #1 receiver who was open underneath to try and get the ball to Shakir?

Yeah...all was not peaches and cream between Josh and Diggs...

    Onward and upward!

Allen no longer has to be faced with the Diggs questions or have to always worry about saying the right thing about the two of them. I would hope there is a mutual respect between each of them and it doesn’t get ugly.  It was an incredible rebirth for this organization with the two of them and I’d like for that to stay intact.

The line from Moneyball keeps coming to mind when Justice is told how much the Yankees and Billy Boy thought of him.

So here goes…Hey Stef.   The Buffalo Bills think so little of you that they are paying $31 million dollars of their cap space to play against you.   That’s how little they think of you.

    That’s something isn’t it.

Lol. Classic line from that movie

Why trade him in the conference?

If Houston goes & beats us & wins the Superbowl I'm not going to be happy.

Im going to go out on a limb and say that’s the best offer they received. Never going to understand why fans get upset trading a player to a conference or division rival. If it’s the best offer you take it.

Houston bent us over the tree stump and ***** us dry.  Bills still eat the dead cap, so this deal makes absolutely no sense.  Complete fail by McBeane.

Farewell Stefon Diggs, and we thank you.

I will agree with this if you provide me the exact details that you know that the rest of us do not.

cause all the receivers we have now are either mediocre or still being developed. And we don't have much resources to make sure we can replace him. We got no cap room, and there is no guarantee we will get good value at drafting someone at 28.  we could be drafting the 6th best receiver at that point, and chances him him being as good as diggs isn't very high.

how good was diggs last half of season and playoffs? would you rather ride that out and hope for the best or eat it now...get a decent pick and start the soft rebuild this year setting up the next run with Allen?

Terrible return on this trade. How much of a cancer does a guy have to be behind the scenes for you to eat 31M cap hit and get rid of WR1.

you really can't judge the return without knowing all the details and I dont think we ever will

I am a 33, have a successful career so far, happily married and with 3 children.

The last time the sabres made the playoffs i was 20 years old, no girlfriend, didn't know what i wanted to do with my life.

The last time the sabres won a playoff series i was 17.

The last time the sabres were in the finals I was 8 years old and was a Dallas Stars fan because they were a fun team to watch when I first started watching hockey.

Life seems to have progressed for me. For the sabres, time has stood still. They're still wandering in a wasteland.

this is a great way to really put in perspective what a joke this team and organization has become.

Well if YOU don’t really care about hockey then sure move the team.  Because who cares if someone else has a different opinion.

Yeppers that’s my opinion. Thanks for acknowledging it 😉

  11. So this thing with a bunch of the players still having their feelings hurt about the crowd booing doesn’t seem to be going away. If this is truly the case they need to blow this whole thing up again. I’d even go a step further and just really hope TP ultimately sellls the team and let what happens after that happen. If they are moved then so be it. Quite honestly hockey has been dead to me since the the briere/drury team. that was truly a special time in this cities history where everyone was connected and emotionally engaged with the players on this team. I wish for that again but it doesn’t seem likely that this is the team it’s going to happen with. The word “soft” comes to mind. Oh well.
