Could also be Beane just setting the stage for a trade if someone falls. I still think if Odunze makes it down to #9 he's the guy Beane will go up for. Gotta make those calls in advance so the parameters are in place.

if we give up assets for Thomas im going to throw myself off a cliff

If the Bills had simply drafted Jefferson instead of traded for Diggs, I believe they’d have at least one SB by now (provided Jefferson stayed as healthy as Diggs).
If they had taken Metcalf or AJ Brown in the 2nd instead of Cody Ford, that’s even more compensation the team could’ve kept to hit on other players.

Ah…the benefits of knowing how it all plays out.

Just as the title says. In your opinion, what player is the draft community too low on, that you think will (or at least should) be drafted higher than where the analysts and the draftniks have him going currently?

    I'll start:

    Troy Franklin, WR, Oregon.

I get it, it's a great WR class. Still, for all you hear about the big three, Brian Thomas, AD Mitchell, Xavier Worthy, Keon Coleman...Troy Franklin tends to be an afterthought. Yes, he's skinny. He's also fast, silky smooth, has legitimate ability to win deep, and posted quality production at Oregon the past two years, including 1383 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2023. To me, he's akin to a Devonta Smith, Chris Olave type, if perhaps a step down (though not a big one) in overall talent from those two.

I think everyone is too low on Troy Franklin. I'm not sure that, after the big three receivers, he's not the next best guy. I like him a lot.

So who's yours? Which player is the draft community too low on?

    Him and legette

Saw this chart on The Ringer today (part of a fun but silly article which nevertheless had some nice info hidden amongst the jokes).

Not a great look for Brian Thomas Jr and Adonai Mitchell, with the takeaway being that while they have everything you want from a physical standpoint and have both shown the POTENTIAL to be good, their college production (not just raw numbers, but yards per route run relative to their target rate) is lacking.

The more I read and listen to…I want no part of Brian Thomas jr. Especially if he requires a trade up. This is the thing that would make me most miserable on draft night

I agree with you on Thomas. He is a total one trick pony. It is just he is really good at the one trick and that one trick is one that give you explosive plays that change ball games. I have Legette 4, Thomas 5. I have Worthy 7. I think Worthy in the right offense will be a star. But he is one of the most scheme specific. I can well imagine a team like Carolina taking him and trying to shoehorn him into a traditional WR position in a traditional west coast offense that is all about precision and timing and him struggling to make an impact.

Legette is the guy I desperately want

  6. I think it is going to be interesting to just see what Josh can do with some rookie talents on this team. I’m for the cost control wr and have at it that way. If it doesn’t seem to work…look at trading for a veteran next year or even at the deadline. It’s risking this season for sure but if we can strike big with a rookie this year it’s is huge for a cap and the next Super Bowl window with Josh

If you are financing PSLs then perhaps you should not be purchasing them. I take it as a lost expense…somewhat like purchasing a fun car that you intend to keep until it dies. After 10 years it’s worth much less and that will probably occur with the PSL. It’s a bonus if it’s worth anything after a while but the benefit of enjoying the seats is like the benefit of enjoying the vehicle while you have it.

Bingo, but I also understand there is value in what owning season tickets brings to someone. saying that paying 10% interest is a good rate for the right to own a seat is comical. cmon.

I went to the last two— both were $250 face value for decent, not great seats.

10% —- which BTW is way less than a personal loan and lord knows a CC running at like 23%.

10% is a pretty good rate for this.

One will never convince me 10% is a good loan rate. But yeah if you have to have seasons and this is the way one has to finance the PSL, more power to you.
