yeah, I mentioned he might be released, but it’s tough to imagine. This said, if Jax goes big on RB early in the Draft, his trade value plummets and release is more likely..

I think if they are looking rb they are going to try and move him asap

Giving them a call and initiating the conversation might get it done before he goes open market trade block too

WHY DID HE DEMAND A TRADE?

BR may have well been the head diva, aloof, whatever.  That's still no reason to quit on your team.  Again I didn't want the Bills to trade for AB long before Rapoport's gaffe and anyone can go back and easily verify that.

Been over why he quit a million times.

    That wasn't the discussion.

    Your words, again:

"There's  a reason why a) a premier franchise like the Steelers wanted to  rid themselves of him and b) they got almost nothing for him in trade"

    BECAUSE HE DEMANDED A TRADE

    HE DEMANDED THE TRADE

THEY DIDN'T WANT TO RID THEMSELVES OF HIM

    HE WANTED THE TRADE

as usual you are just changing the topic

Yes I'm suggesting the Bills put a rumor out about NYG wanting to trade up after they take a DL at #6

The points add up for the Seattle trade as I suggested. Maybe add a 6th or 7th to sweeten the deal a little.

    Jimmy Johnson value

    #21 (sea) = 800

    #41 (den) = 490

    #71 (den) = 235

    That's 725 vs 800

Seattle isn't giving up the #21 pick for that.

  4. 5 hours ago, Ethan in Portland said:

    Denver #10 and #71

    Bills #9 and #158

    Denver takes Lock

    Bills take Oliver at #10

Then they trade #40 and #71 to Seattle for # 20 and draft Fant

Denver wants a QB and needs to stay ahead of Miami and NYG who will want Lock at #9

Seattle needs to trade out of the first round

The points add up and still leaves the Bills with their 3rd round pick to use on a WR or Edge (doubt much value at OT in 3rd round)

    OR

    NYG #17 and #37

    Bills #9

    NYG takes Lock at #9

Bills take Fant at 17 then BPA 37 and 40

So you're saying Denver moves up from #10 to #9 to secure a QB when they know we aren't taking one??

Or are you implying they do that to block the Giants from jumping up to #9??

You also aren't going to get #20 from Seattle for #40 and #71 ??

Look WEO, if you have no problem with the stunt AB pulled at the end of last season and his highly erratic behavior, which leads you to ask simple questions because you don't want to have a complex discussion about why we as Bills fans wouldn't and shouldn't want to add a potential cancer like him, that's on you.  There's a reason why a) a premier franchise like the Steelers wanted to rid themselves of him and b) they got almost nothing for him in trade.  Sure it's entertainment, but only when the drama is happening on another team.

And you expect(ed) AB to come out and say "I'm threatened by JuJu Smith-Shuster"?  LOL!  Talk about goofy.

Change the narrative to suit yourself again doc.

    Good work.

    AB PUBLICLY DEMANDED A TRADE.

He wasn't going to play for them anymore.

They didn't want to rid themselves of him at first.

He wanted to rid himself of them.

They chose to trade him for 30 cents on the dollar because if he sat out, he was going to count against their cap even if they didn't have to actually pay him the money.

He was so adamant about not showing up to play for a team he didn't have on his list of acceptable trade partners that he handicapped his own value.

If they cut him he counted the same dead cap as trading him this year.

They figured they would recoup some minor draft capital for their dead cap.

You can argue all you want whether or not he's worth the drama.

    You can't argue facts.

    He demanded the trade.

They didn't put him on the block first.

Try again with your narrative bending.

That kind of player is exactly who I want in the locker room..

Prima donna? Why do you say that?

Me first? I don't think sticking up for a teammate implies thst at all, in fact quite the opposite.

Bad judgment on the field? Maybe, but one ejection doesn't tell the whole story.

Bad judgment off?  He likes to drive fast. Who cares? He isn't hurting anyone.

Maybe he is an idiot, but that shouldn't preclude us from getting some value out of the guy if he is available on the cheap. In case you haven't noticed, our backfield is already applying for their AARP cards.

Go read the thread and all my posts.

We are on the EXACT same page.

The people who don't want him point at his ypc and the ejection vs Buffalo.

Both of which don't tell the whole story.

We've got a lot of posters here who hold grudges.

Read the Antonio Brown thread about him "not wanting to play in Buffalo"

    Read the gronk retirement thread.

Jarvis Landry (whom Williams said himself said he was cool with).

    It's quite entertaining.

  8. This will be posted in ever Josh Allen thread.

It is funny, but it also helps illustrate how your can cherry pick statistics to make any player like better or worse than they actually are.

I love Allen as our QB and am absolutely thrilled with what he's shown both on and off the field.

What you see in this this video, and what you see with your own two eyes actually WATCHING him play football, all the little "non-football" things, between and during plays, the way he acts on the sideline, instead of just analyzing his numbers, is where the "analytics crowd" fails.

These numbers-nerds sit behind a computer screen and take advanced stats as gospel, as the only thing that matters, above all else.

Advanced stats tell us things like Brett favre was overrated, that Derek Jeter was a poor short stop, that tyrod Taylor was a great QB.

There isn't a coach, GM, or manager in the league who actually thinks tyrod was a great QB, but these analytics clowns called him one day in and day out.

Analytics and stats are a great tool, but aren't the only thing you should use to evaluate a player, just like a hammer isn't the only tool you need to build a house.

These are the same fools at PFF saying the bills need to draft a QB at #9 because Allen sucks so there's no reason to build the offense.

When I watch this kid on and off the field he just has "it"

He has that special something you don't see every day, that you can't teach, that you can't gauge from a box score or a play analysis.

That child-like exuberance for the game, that competitiveness, that fire that you don't see every day.

    I'm glad he's our QB.

    Go Allen.

    Go BUFFALO.

I'm meh on consistency. I think it's too hard to achieve in the NFL. Brady and the Patriots are the exception- the consistent winner. But I throw them out because it's not replicable. So consistency gets you guys like Brees, Rodgers, Roethlisberger, Rivers, Wilson...guys who can perform season after season without a much variation. They're worth a ton because they can get you close to the Super Bowl year in and year out.

However...they're pretty rare as well. And if you can't have a Hall of Famer behind center, I'll take a guy who's going to have an up and down career but the highs can take you all the way to the top. I think Allen can be that guy who can dominate when everything clicks for him. It won't be every season, probably, but he could have a Newton 2015 or Kaepernick 2013 or Flacco/Foles playoff run to win it all. That's good with me for now anyway.

You'll find quite a few here who don't think that Newton is a "franchise QB" and would be extremely upset, labeling Allen a bust, if he's first 8 seasons are akin to Newton.

(I think they are insane. I'll take that in a heartbeat)

I'm really not trying to be a jerk here, but it's comments like this that make people crack jokes or wonder about your intentions.

You seem like a nice enough guy, but why even bother talking football if you're not interested in...football?

Also, you're a Packer fan on a Bills board. You're not gonna get much sympathy in terms of "suffrage."

Well, la de da at Bill Shakespeare over here. RIP Chris Farley.

    He's a troll

He wants to get bills fans to tell him to go away, which then gets other bills fans to tell them to be nice, causing a fight

Strange indeed. I've heard Seahawk, 49er, Ram, Packer, Viking, Falcon, Panther, Redskin, Dolphin, Colt, Jaguar, Titan, Steeler, Bronco, Raider fan all used singularly.

The two teams you would NEVER use singularly are the Bills and the Browns. "He's a BROWN fan." "He's a BILL fan." That just doesn't work on so many levels.

Maybe it's Bill Burr, bill Cosby, bill Clinton, bill Shakespeare fans he's referring to?

Non rookie year was what again?

How do you know what I watch and don’t watch. I know EXACTLY what I saw this past year. A oft INJ short yardage back.

So so as I said my package is a 2022 pick

His second year receiving numbers were identical per game and per catch

Sorry I thought I included them

    Nice try majbooby

  13. 6 minutes ago, mannc said:

How do you know he doesn't pass block?

For what it's worth, he's a very decent receiver out of the backfield.  His rookie year he caught 36 balls for 302 yards.  That's a little less than what Shady has averaged for his career.

Maj hates him by looking at his ypc

    He doesn't watch him

If he did he's realize he's a decent receiver

  14. 1 minute ago, MAJBobby said:

So does he pass block? Nope

how is his receiving out of the backfield? (hence offers NOTHING out of the Backfield)

so he runs. And does it at a 3.9 YPC clip.

Since you like stats so much

He has 58 receptions for 487 yards and an 8.4  yards per reception in 21 games

Rookie year he was 36 for 302 with an 8.4 per catch and 2.8 receptions per game in 13 games

McCoy in each of the last 3 seasons

    2016 : 50 for 356 and a 7.1 per catch and 3.3 rec per game

    2017 : 59 for 448, a 7.6 avg and 3.3 per game

    2018 : 34 for 238 with a 7.0 avg and 2.4 per game

I guess he can't catch at all though!?

  15. 13 minutes ago, MAJBobby said:

I do watch him.  He gets 3.9 a carry color me impressed.

Offers Nothing out of the backfield

I am sorry I see AVG.  Looks like a 6th round plodder to me so Yep AVG.

Doesn't even move the needle for the team without him they are the EXACT SAME

But all that said my offer to the jags is a 2022 conditional 7th

Except all you keep doing is spouting off his ypc.

Offers nothing out of the backfield?

    Please.

He's a grinding power back who consistently gets you what you need in short yardage situations.

    He's a beast.

If he can be had cheap it's more than worth the risk.
