  1. I believe the reason he only got one game is because the Pats play the Steelers in 2 weeks.  You know the NFL would never punish the Pats in any way for a meaningful game.  I'd be willing to bet money that if the Pats were playing the Steelers this week instead, Gronks appeal process would have taken much longer and he would have been allowed to play this week and then been suspended for the following week. I truly believe that.

  3. I was there sitting near that goalline and all the Niners fans stood up, as did my Bills' fan friend. I just sat there and told my friend "Please tell me it's being called back"

I was there as well but I was at the other goal line. we were in the first row at about the 5 yd line so we couldn't see squat when they were at the other end of the field. I couldn't figure out why they all started running towards us. after a second or two it sunk in, fumble.

I remember that game being cold and raining. I remember Bruce getting what could have been a gamechanging sack/fumble called back on a horrible ghost penalty of some sort.

  4. Why?

Aside from the Rose Bowl Game & UCLA football, is the Rose Bowl used for other events?

Is the city of Pasadena too civilized for NFL fans?

I think U2 performed there tonight. and yes, Pasadena can be pretty snooty. They buy a house a block from a legendary stadium and then try to block it from having events because they don't like the traffic.

  5.

Graham touching the ball while being out of bounds makes it a dead ball.

Seriously. Graham could have been completely unconscious with his head out of bounds and his feet in bounds...the ball lands on his feet, dead ball. I've seen that called, in a Bills game no less.

correct me if I'm wrong but shouldn't that then become a penalty on defensive player? I thought once you go out of bounds, you cannot touch the ball? If a receiver steps OOB at some point running his route, he becomes ineligible and a flag is thrown if he does catch a pass. So although it would probably still be ruled a dead ball, at least they should have gotten the penalty yards.

Or do I have this all wrong?

I remember that Bills game as well and was asking this same question then.
