Some Bills fans really must like having Tom Brady live rent free in their heads 🙄

The man has earned that at the very least at this point no?

    Whoa whoa whoa...

In the NBA you have to play offense AND defense and Michael was close to being the very best at both!  Take a look at Jordan's accolades.   It would be exhausting to list them all here, but keep in mind that he won the scoring title, league MVP and defensive player of the year all in the same league year.  10X scoring champion, 6 Finals MVPs, 9x All defense first team (tied for most in NBA history), not to mention the impact he had on the league.

At age 40, under current league rules, he would have had the lowly Wizards in the play-in.  All this without the most recent advances in modern medicine that Brady and others enjoy.

I'd argue Peyton Manning has had more of an impact on how QBs attack the position than Tom Brady.  I can acknowledge Brady as the G.O.A.T. even with the cheating scandals, but Michael Jordan transcended the sport of basketball.

    For me, there's no comparison.

Wholeheartedly agree. MJ is the greatest ever not Lebron. I keep hearing how that's changed over the last few years. Sorry, still doesn't pass my eye or smell test. Lebron is a beast who I can't stand. MJ was a legend who changed sports in front of my eyes. I'm not even a basketball fan other than the period of Magic, Byrd, MJ. Doesn't mean I don't see what a guy like Lebron or Kobe has done. Full accolades to them. They are not MJ. Legend.

Oh and this is a thread about the match so I will say I agree with someone above that I liked, Josh should be with Brady. Brady has never ended Josh's season. Mahomes obviously has a couple of times. I don't like this unless somewhere along the way Josh goes WWE on Mahomes. Maybe breaks a table over his head or something. 😇

Ok, so the moderation software allows "shitting", but does not allow [3-letter word for female breasts beginning with "t"] that someone posted a variation of yesterday. Good to know...LOL!

Not sure what's wrong with a tit but CC is a boob and I could do without him. Tirico is a solid add though and will find a way to shut him up.

Except Hughes is better than Basham, Lawson, and Epenesa still. He is still a quality player. I understand thus happens all the time and predicting when older veterans decline is as difficult as predicting which young players will improve

However Epenesa looks like a complete bust and I would take Hughes back and cut Epenesa in a heart beat.

The only way I see Beane bringing Jerry back is at vet minimum. Kind of insulting to Jerry, and I don't think he would do it. In fact I doubt Beane would even offer it unless Jerry gets no offers and wants one more shot at winning it.

  4. I will always love Jerry Hughes. But a lot of the sentiment that I'm reading in this thread is how I felt last year.

Beane did a great thing by keeping Jerry last year for a championship run. Can't keep doing it until it happens. Decisions have to be made and I think Jerry is gone.

Thank you Jerry for many memories and your intense effort as a Buffalo Bill. Love you man.

Oh I'd guess that the McKenzie cap hit is only $2M or so in 2022 but that there will be dead money if cut after the season...........and they are already going to be borrowing money against the 2023 cap........and I expect that they will likely want to move on from Dirty after this season.    At least I'd hope they'd find a couple WR in this draft that they think are keepers.

I don't think they cut him after the season. They know what they have with him. I guess by me saying that it should be longer term deal though. But can't keep everyone forever.

Came here to post this. I don’t view Carr as the type of QB that can get you over the super bowl hump unless you surround him with a phenomenal team. He’s likely to stick them into NFL purgatory, right in the middle of the pack. That’s not something you pay 40 million per year for.

Ah, the 8-8 Bills every year!

I’d love to get Swartz back.  I think him and McDermott would be a great combo and Swartz would some bring some passion to that defense.  I respect Frazier but he’s so darn mellow all the time and the defense tends to reflect that personality, when we get punched in the mouth we tend to fold.  Swartz’s defenses will at least keep hitting you back.

Just can't see him ever coming back here in the same capacity. If he' out of work and isn't getting an HC job I could. But it's doubtful.

Yep, love Josh.   But Josh wasn't in the 2017 draft.

The Bills reticence to draft a QB on only 5 months notice..........and the subsequent trade of a pick they knew was going to be one of those QB's to a division rival.......for bad draft capital value to boot.........made the Chiefs dynasty possible.

And yes, nowadays what is likely 3 straight SB's and 2 titles would certainly be a dynasty.

Maybe in a decade in review they will have come out of the period with more success............but the point is...........you don't decide what draft in which you pick your QB..........you need to always be prepared to pull that trigger when you don't have one.

They were fortunate to avoid the fate that Buddy Nix did when he tried to build the team up and then ended up with a draft with EJ and Geno at the top when he was finally comfy enough to make his move.

Ok, Buddy was Hell bent to leave us in a good position. We owe him gratitude for that. Unfortunately he decided to do that when EJ was our best option. Whew!

We probably wouldn't have drafted Mahomes anyways LOL and actually for the first time in a long time I have to say, I'll be ok if our first pick is CB. But it better be best value on the board and by a large margin. Otherwise we have other needs.

Our personal preference for "our guy" doesn't make 1 Lombardi(and perhaps counting), multiple AFC titles and an MVP award for the team we traded Mahomes to go away.

It's fixable..........but it's certainly a mess of the Bills own doing that their path to a championship is now twice blocked by said QB they traded to a longtime AFC rival.

Point though is that it was never a valid excuse.    You don't need more than a few months to identify a QB and decide if he's worthy of selection..........the teams that haven't hired new HC's will still be evaluating QB's...........it was a convenient excuse for a very perculiar situation they put themselves into.

WTF is this bro? There's nothing wrong with our QB. Yoou think it's different here if Mahomes is our QB? Love Josh forever!

It's McD's defense. It must be so nice for him that people are putting the blame on the DC, the guy who's an extension of what the head coach wants to do.

It may be McDermott's biggest accomplishment here that he's somehow free from any kind of accountability from a sizable chunk of the fanbase.

Remember when McD suspended Frasier's D coordinator duties for a game or two? Cause he wasn't doing what was expected. I suspect McD fires Leslie if he doesn't get an HC position somewhere else. McD needs to assume the D coordinator duties unless he can land a Swartz type guy which I doubt.

Time for McD to own it.

Because of McD or Because we have the best player on the planet?

Look my concerns about McD I stated Sunday night despite being in the most rage filled devastation as a fan I've ever been in are still legitimate questions  - even tho yes I know he's probably not getting fired.

This is just so unprecedented and different.  This isn't like music city or wide right.  It's just not this is 1000000x worse.

And this excuse at the presser today?

I'm going to need Bass to confirm he put too much into the kick or I might for real completely tune him out.  It's like finding out your spouse cheated on you.  I'm not sure how I can look at him the same right now.  That was so so so so so brutal.

Personally, I don't think he heard the word to kick short. McD is covering for someone. I think he went out there with no idea what to do and just booted it. If so shame on him, McD and anyone else involved because we all know that is not what should have happened. EPIC FAIL.
