  1. That bad call on Gilmore isn't going to cost the Bills the game, guys. Gilmore sucking is..

Considering at least two of our losses last year were directly attributable to horrific officiating, I think you're underestimating their affect on the game. If they score a touchdown here, that's 7-0 refs. And it's only the first drive. Just wait until we get a "roughing the passer" penalty on Hughes for cleanly tackling the quarterback.

  2. Worst offensive performance. But at least we weren't shut out like New England week 1 2003. It could have been a turnover fest. We had zero turnovers which makes the 7 points all the worse.

I don't know if I'd rather have been shutout or lose the way we did. I guess I'll take 7-13 over 0-31.

Good lord. We have to say things like "at least it wasn't as bad as that one random game 13 years ago."

    That should answer your question.

  3.

Guess it was a fluke leading the league in rushing last season and having the most pass plays over 20 yards.

Well, no. But other teams game planned for all that and decided they could win despite those qualifications. And they did.

I sometimes wonder how people that lose their minds after today's loss cope with life in general.

Because it's football and not real life. If my life sucked as hard and as long as the Bills have, I'd definitely be in trouble. Luckily, I can vent about these guys sucking at their jobs while maintaining my own satisfactory status quo.

  4. I get the distinct feeling I have been here longer then you......a lot longer......as in before our Super Bowl runs.

but I will be here win or lose....I think we both know you wont be unless we lose

Does the thought that our offense has just not had enough playing time this year and it affected us today cross your mind at all. You do know that the O will improve should that be the case right?

Yes...its an excuse...anything will be an excuse because we didnt win. If Darby catches that int and runs it back for a TD (there was nobody close to him) and we end up winning a close defensive battle today......is it all doom and gloom? No people would be happy because the D has improved and your usual punch bowl pissers would be ragging on Tyrod Taylor.....

But the world would keep spinning and we would be moving onto the jets

Might as well cancel the season. We lost game 1

Okay, Chris Brown, we get it. The Bills are just about to turn this thing around.

  5. If Cardale is starting, the nightmare will have just started.

It's been going on a long time. At this point, I'd rather start someone with an unknowable floor / ceiling than keep watching a never-ending carousel of mediocrity. I'd much rather ride a 2-14 wave and then rebuild instead of dicking around in the .500 club for two decades.

  6. Take a breath. It's one game.

I've said this a lot tonight, but I don't think it can be overstated. "One game" is the difference between making the playoffs or going home early for the better part of two decades. One game is what teams are fighting for in the last few weeks of the season. And we just gave away yet another easy one that will come back to haunt us when we're 8-8 again. If we even manage that level of mediocrity this year.

  7. Fans in my section expected a Ravens win and were disappointed their team barely beat a woeful team like Buffalo. It was just a ho hum win for them. They kinda felt sorry for me for a minute.

This. This so much. Being at this game, it felt like a foregone conclusion that the Ravens would suck and still beat us. There was absolutely no worry among the home crowd that we would beat their simplistic defensive scheme and laughable offense. And we were happy to oblige all day long. Absolutely nothing positive to report back about this game, except...

Bills fans travel well, are the best fans in the league, and are rabidly loyal despite being continuously fed a garbage product.

  8. I am writing all these screen names down. Make sure you dont all go running off the board when these posts after ONE GAME end up looking so retarded.

So when this list of yours turns out to be correct in their projections, I fully expect you to write a mea culpa and promptly run off the board.

  9. The Bills defense certainly played well enough to win. Giving up only 13 points should equate to a win.

I don't subscribe to this line of thought. Today's game could have easily been a shutout with 14 defensive points scored. And we wouldn't have even had to try that hard. Flacco threw a few passes right to our defensive backs and their only points came off penalties and a blown coverage deep.

  10. What is sad is there are a lot of idiots that are actually agreeing with him or close to it after ONE GAME

How many times over the last 15 years has one game been the difference between the playoffs or going home? I'll set the over / under at 5, and I think that's low.

  11. Why? All one of Baltimore's big passing plays involved our secondary. That equals ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of Flacco's deep game today.

At what point will Ed Reed be held accountable?

When he's calling his own plays and the Ryans are done trying to convince everyone they're defensive gurus.

  12. This is ridiculous. 1 game against a pretty damn good football team and everyone is running for the hills. Talk about whacked senses of reality.

The Ravens are not even a remotely good football team. They will miss the playoffs along with us, but their organization will rebuild into a playoff team in less time than it took us to fire Dick Jauron.

  13. For God's sake, just do what real organizations do and go for an early pick. Fire everyone except maybe Ed Reed.

If you think this is an overreaction, you weren't watching today. The ineptitude of this team can't be overstated.
