Maybe he should be upset Heather Graham didn't steal him? Is that why he's REALLY mad?
That's the only thing that makes sense.

One night at a bar, one of the tap handles was white with "IPA" written in black marker.
Me: Which IPA is that?
Bartender: It's the Indiana Pale Ale.
Alrighty then.

My first real job in NYC, I worked with an IT guy who was a cool dude. One day when I was extolling the virtues of Boogie Nights, he let on that he hated Heather Graham. He went on to explain that Heather Graham had stolen his wife's high school boyfriend. "My wife hates her, so I hate her too," he said. I was quick to point out that, had Heather Graham not stolen his wife's boyfriend, he & his wife might never have met. But he just replied "I still hate her anyway."

I think the Pegulas consider Whaley to be a friend, so they'll let him continue as "GM" while basically allowing McDermott to do the actual job. And contrary to many fans' belief that Whaley is one of the top GMs in the game, I highly doubt he's viewed as such in league circles.
-
Whaley should've been fired the day he traded up for Watkins & said there wasn't much of a difference between Watkins & the other WRs in the draft. Or when he decided to roll with EJ, Tuel, & Thad Lewis... for the second year in a row. Absolutely clueless.

Kaepernick was protesting the shooting of unarmed black men, and then some Bills fans were selling t-shirts of Kaepernick (a black man) in the crosshairs. I'm 99% sure the irony of that was unintentional & unrealized.
-
I'd like to see a list of the GMs who are worse than Whaley & the reasoning behind it. If you're comparing him to his modern day NFL counterparts, I think it would be a pretty short list.
-
It's too bad Kaepernick didn't say he was protesting America's treatment of its veterans. He'd probably be regarded as a hero.
-
Whaley is probably the best GM we've had since Donahoe (sorry Marv, Russ, & Nix), but below average when compared to current NFL GMs.

Didn't Sammy just have another surgery on his foot? Hopefully he'll be healthy this year. Ragland is a wildcard, but we look to have the slowest LB corp in the league.

^ That's why it was smart for Buffalo to wait to match so that it deters other teams from offering our RFAs offer sheets.
By doing so their hands are tied with regards to other FAs/trade targets and they miss out.
Glad to have Groy back, but we have a lot of O-linemen now.
Starting 5+ Groy+ Lewis+ Ducasse+ Kujo+ Henderson (suspended for start of year so it buys us an extra roster spot for the first month or so).
Maybe they keep 9 to start the year and someone gets injured by the time Henderson gets back? Dunno.
Are you assuming Mills starts @ RT? I hope it doesn't go that way.

I'm just waiting for all those that ripped Whaley to come swarming into this thread to eat crow and admit that Whaley played it right.
Any time now...
Oh, and can I make a request? Can the loyal TBDers not lump all us BBMB refugees into the "awful, reactionary swine" column? Can you just judge us individually as posters? I've now seen a few different posts that were derogatory/inflammatory toward "the new guys" as a whole, and that's not really fair. Some bad apples may have come over, but some good ones did, too. Don't assume that just because someone hasn't been on this forum all along, they're automatically crazy Hill People.
Eat crow? That's so BBMB...
-
If you're a BBMB refugee, you may remember me as a Wishbone guy. It will take the league by storm, just like the Wildcat in 2008. Time to get in on the ground floor on this one. Get it done, McDermott!

I take it that your friend isn't Doug Whaley...
Whaley's wife said he couldn't come to the phone, but I think I heard him sobbing in the background.

Larry is a name that isn't as popular anymore which is a shame. It needs to make a comeback.
If there's a name in need of a comeback, it would have to be Shemp.

Just texted my Raiders fan friend.
Me: Raiders just signed EJ Manuel.
Him: What the f*** kinda signing is that?! And why is that guy still in the league?!

This is a guy I wanted the Bills to sign. I don't get to say that very often.

Ha! I thought the same thing when I opened this thread. The first line or two, at least.

We might have to wait until the draft. One year, our big splash was drafting the first 100% Chinese player in history. Otherwise, maybe they'll hold open tryouts for the fans.

Philly Brown is top 10 in the league among #5 WRs.
-
Craig "Ironhead" Heyward was listed at 5'11", 265lbs.

Some players just want OUT. Teams are foolish to make them stay because they won't play with heart. ex LYNCH wanted OUT. Mario also wanted out.
Some players who ant more $$$ play harder, some just hold out. What type do you want on your team?
If Brown gets no offers then he has been schooled.
I think Lynch wanted out because he knew the team wasn't going anywhere. The damn guy's retired and they still haven't gone anywhere.

I once dated a girl with a born again father. He had been kicked out of the Catholic church for cheating on / divorcing her mother, which he felt gave him the right to judge everyone else. I'd been going to a Lutheran church since I was a toddler, but he & his wife would constantly badger me about whether or not I was ready to accept Jesus & tell me that I was going to hell if I didn't go to their weird ass church. Good times.
