First off Lambeau went under a massive massive reno that added seat, luxury boxes etc... the stadium is like brand new and gorgeous its at the levels with the top in the league. Second Soldier Field is just the name of the stadium, they actually built a new stadium on top of it and just kept the name. People say basically is like a spaceship landed on the old stadium.
The Bills stadium if you have ever been to an out of town stadium is dated as heck. The renovations have at least modernized it to make it decent but its far behind in modern amenities. I know everyone is obsessed with tailgating but its also the cause of families not going because of the drunks. You will still have drunks in a new stadium and still have tailgating but you will also have an easier time controlling the rowdiness and families may actually go before kids is 11 years old.
so we need to spend 1.4 billion so kids don't see drunks ? I grew up going to Yankees stadium , they kids will be fine

I wish I had that kind of non-cynical worldview. But I know better.
it's commonsense/ they knew the situation when they bought them. They purchased the team to keep it in Buffalo .

I don't want to hear how Buffalo fans can't afford the modern NFL. Russ Brandon made it his job to do that.
what is the Allure of having a modern football stadium? it's 8 games a year.

It's implied.
She knows that the state won't pitch squat into the project. Same for the county. She knows the fans won't pay more for seats or PSLs, and she knows she won't pay out of pocket for it.
Doesn't take a rocket surgeon to do that math.
nothing is implied except that will not be a new Stadium. not that they are going shopping for a new location

Same exact thing has been said by Russ Brandon many times. I honestly didn't feel comfortable reading this from Kim.
why don't you feel comfortable
Just now, Bobby Hooks said:Funny we don’t hear that about Lambeau.
i know. The Pegs have to chance the narrative from a new stadium to we love the tradition of our place.

You'd think if they updated soldier field and Lambeau it could be done. I'm not sure the Pegulas are feeling that, however.
Look, if the people of WNY are serious about retaining the Bills, pony up. If not, that's OK too, just don't cry when they move. Because they will. If the Chargers left a much larger market in SD, the Bills WILL leave Buffalo over a stadium.
I am not sure how anybody is reading her statement as a threat to leave. She is simply saying , we are not spending 1.4 billion of our money

for 8-10 games a year do they really need a new stadium ? Look at met life they get 16 plus football games . a couple of ncaa games , a few soccer matches and several concerts
i am not an engineer but couldn't the Ralph take on a major tech upgrade and some other bells and whistles for a quarter of the cost of a new stadium and still be a fine venue ?
The final thought is , nobody is screaming for a new stadium. Some towns are fine with what they have. K.c upgraded Arrowhead. Packers are fine with their situation. The Big city Bears keep upgrading their place ect ect

Spanos kept saying it can’t be done even though he had options. His option A was too lofty to achieve and decided to go. Planned failure with built in excuse to leave.
they are not selling the team. She is saying i am not paying and the fans are not paying so if something is going to get done then there better be a ton of outside money

they have enough money to make one solid buy. They should use it now. I assume they are hoping a receiver shakes but there are no guarantees one will

agreed i like the idea of having Alexander available to play in different spots. He was best as a situational pass rusher under rex

did his agent look at the depth chart ?

on the sports side they spend far too many years being dickish, childish, and snarky. Notice i didn't say clever. Cheap , lazy potshots over and over again. Never offering up editorials about solutions . Always taking the lowest road. Graham and Sully have always come of as childish hacks . The day Bucky took his famous cheap shot at Whaley with the ' what exactly do you do for a living " , comment is was clear there was an agenda .
i understand the need for clicks and to cause a stir. There writers are not capable of doing that. All they can do is double down on the same negative spin over and over again.
I will say this over the last year or so I sense a change away from the snark and character assassination towards a actually covering the teams. It has been refreshing Over the last 5 seasons the Bills haven't been a disaster just a team looking for a qb to take them from middle of the pack to a consistent play off team . Often the B News choose to cover them like they were the Browns
-
this year it should be a solid unit. certainly good enough to win 10ish games. Plus the pieces are falling into place that with a couple more nice additions a top 5 defense is not out of the questions. This season will be about the offense . Will the o line have enough to hold up, Which qb steps up and will one of the wide receivers break out.
The Bills are as they have been for a while in 6 -10 win window. The difference is this team has putting potential building blocks in place , in the past it was a rearrange the parts every year and try to sneak into the playoffs

despite all of the draft coverage it is amazing how little we know. We watch players drop the entire weekend and scratch out heads then over the next few months we find out why.
-
i would add that Gronk will get to know Edmounds very well this season. The bills finally have someone that has the height ,weight and speed to match up with Gronk .

I thought he came off a real tool. I rarely agree with Schoop but his stance on predicting how these qb's pan out if how i feel. There are so many variables that go in developing a qb and if any of them go wrong the whole process could fail. Now with that said. Lets start with pick 20 and look at all the players drafted until round 3 . I am not sure there are many is any players who have the upside of Allen. Considering the value of the position and the fact that you would be passing on guards , receivers and number 2 corners there is no way Allen is a third round player.
-
he is huge with long arms . He is going to be awesome on passing downs from the beginning . It is going to hard to throw over the middle with him parked 8 -10 yards deep looking like he is covering the entire middle of the field
-
bring him in now and let him see what you are doing , let him know when he is ready to play you would be interested in signing him .
-
Groy could emerge as the leader. I would like the Bills to sign him now to a 4 year deal . Lock up a solid piece of the line
-
Wide receiver
if a solid vet interior lineman gets cut that would help
I think they will be shuffling depth linebackers on and off the roster all year.
-
welp, we have a former game show as president so the bar is a little lower than it use to be
-
the fanrag guy. Schoop , and white have a lot invested in Allen being a bust. At this point they have to choice but to double down .
The kid has an a ton of talent to be given a third round grade.

I feel bad for Whaley he never got to own the job, Perhaps it was his shortcomings that allowed him to always be pushed to the side . We may never know but one thing is clear he was general manager in name only
