  1. You mean "hear, hear!" but whatever.

Sounds like the OP is not from WNY but arbitrarily chose to follow the Bills.

I can't believe anyone could be that self-abusive!

I was born into Bills fandom and will remain there until death.

It is exciting to be typing on the eve of another new Bills season.

    lol oh well!!! Go Bills!!!

  2. Well its the Eve of my thirtieth season as a Buffalo Bills fan. The outlook is bleak this year as the Bills are poised to extend their playoff drought to a baffling 18 years. It has been a rough go but I remember other times. I remember the goal posts being torn down when they won the division in 88. And I remember the loss to Icky Woods and the Bengals in the AFC championship game the same season. I remember the Bickering Bills and the drop by Ronnie Harmon to lose to Cleveland in the 89 playoffs. I remember 51-3, 10-7, 29-10, 30-13 and the absolute euphoria I felt after each one of those wins. I choose not to remember the games that came after them. I remember the greatest comeback in NFL history and I remember Frank Wychek throwing the ball forward. I remember all the big games with Miami we had, and winning most of them. I remember finding a way to watch my beloved Bills in Alaska, Seattle and Peru. I remember (most of) the 29 straight home games I attended. I remember Thurman Thomas, James Loften and Eric Moulds. I remember Shane Conlan, Bryce Paup and Cornelius Bennett. I remember San Francisco fans becoming St louis fans and then becoming Tampa Bay fans and back to San Francisco. I remember when there were NO Patriot fans.

30 years and a lot of down times but I remember the good as well as the bad and I consider myself to be a true loyal fan to the team I love. I couldnt be luckier that back in 87 I chose the Bills because everyone else liked the Jets, Giants, 49ers or Bears. So while the upcoming season may look glum I raise my glass as I always have and always will and say Lets Go Buffalo!

    Here, here!!! Let's-Go-Buff-A-Lo!!!!

  3. News flash, he's 29. Running backs peak at 25. He's on the down side of the hill. Thurman Thomas at 29 in 1995 was sliding, Emmitt Smith 1998, Marshall Faulk 2001, Tomlinson 2008. Look at those backs, what they did before age 29 and what they did after, it's not pretty.

News flash, every athletes body is different

  4. Looks like the rumor may have come from this article -

    https://sportstalk360.com/buffalo-bills-and-green-bay-in-trade-talks-for-star/

No way I make that trade if I'm Buffalo. Killing our offense this season is just not worth it for Adams and a 4th.

I'd want a 1st round pick, which I know isn't going to happen.

I guess if the plan is to tank 2017, then maybe I'd take Adams and a 2nd.

But I just have no desire to trade McCoy and try to suck this year. McCoy is wayyy too much fun to watch run, and we don't even know which QBs are going to enter the draft (the rumors are 2 of the top guys may stay in school).

Keep McCoy and try to win as many games as possible.

This has to be the worst website I've ever seen? Is this incarcerated bob?!!!

  5. When analyzing how professionals in any business operate, it helps to look at their past experiences, specifically the scenarios/situations where they have had success in the past. Consider Beane & McDermott. Their most successful year by far was the year the Panthers went to the Super Bowl. That particular team had a QB known more for his running than his passing, had a very strong running game, had a mediocre receiving corps ( they lost star WR Kelvin Benjamin to injury in preseason); and they had a defense designed & coached by McDermott. Sounds a lot like the current Bills.

But the real lesson they learned from that very successful season is that you do NOT need a stud, #1 receiver to be successful. Having that great receiver is a luxury, not a necessity. Look at the very best receivers in the NFL over the last decade. The number of Super Bowl wins those great receivers have is close to zero. This explains a lot about the Watkins trade, especially knowing he would demand huge dollars next year. The choice to devote your cap dollars to other areas of the team (D & O lines) is a wise one.

And to those who would dismiss this years team's chances, or call this a tank year, go ahead and review the success of that Panthers team.

    Pretty valid points... HYPE!!!

  6. I think we should wait till the actual regular season to verbally crucify this man. If he looks like this in week 1 against the Jets and we lose... OK, maybe time to scratch our heads. I will tell you one thing that Tyrod is literally busting his butt everyday to get better. This man will not fail by lack of dedication or desire.
