^^^Yep.If it's just a quote from a presser, you would have a point. The question is whether it reflected Rex's attitude in the locker room, and influenced the team to get too cocky or substitute braggadocio for focus and preparation.
From the behavior of the team on the field (either overly amped up or flat at different times) it seems as though it might.
So far this year, the 'we won, yea! on to Miami' level headed attitude seems to be reflected in a better-prepared and more even-keeled performance on the field. Which is really what I want to see from Rex and the Rex-coached Bills every week: a solidly prepared, disciplined team that comes out amped up and ready to play hard, but not over-amped and ready to pull stupid fouls.

He can't be everywhere at once.
Shady on the other hand, seems to slip interdimensionally when running the ball. He's there and not there at the same time.
I like this match up.

The fins seem revived
Lazarus, came back to life
Now time to kill them

They looked good.
Now on to Miami.

A good game.
Now on to squish the fish!
They just beat up on the Steelers and took out Big Ben. That's a shame, since the Steelers are playing NE next week.
I hate those guys!

I am a bit concerned about facing Kap in the first game. That always creates an emotional bump and a level of unpredictability. I think the team will be okay, but I do wish we were playing Gabbert.
Yep.
Add in that Chip completely torched Rex last year and it is a perfect storm in a game the Bills probably should win. Nothing is ever easy.
Yep

Tackle Kaepernick by his afro
How DOES he get his helmet on?

Looking good!!!

Both are true.Every time I read this statement I think it's kind of a loser mentality. You practice to be a winner, you play to be a winner but with the mentality that you still have to go out there and perform. You don't build a winner mentality by preferring the underdog tag.
A playoff team wins the ones they should - even the ugly ones like yesterday's.
They are favored this week, as they should be. As they accumulate wins, they will be favored more often.
They need to win this one like the last 3 - one play at a time.

1 play at a time.Fun fact: Seasons are played one game at a time.
If we approach the 49ers with that attitude, we will come out with a win.
yes, it is astonishing how good we can make fitz and case keenum look. brady can't wait to get a shot at this defense.
Brady is looking at the Bengals defense.
He couldn't care less about us until he meets us.
That's the attitude we should have, that we need to have.
1 game at a time. 1 play at a time.
-
It's also predicting Cleveland over the Pat's with a 79% chance of being correct.
I like that one!

IMO what separates a Playoff from a non playoff team.
Don't get to high on a win, and don't get to low from a loss. Aka the ability move on to the next opponent with complete focus.
This. ^^^

Even with the "gauntlet" coming up with Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Seattle & Buffalo and suppose they lose all 4, I doubt they lose more than one game the rest of the way. That makes them 10-6 at worst. I loved what the Bills did yesterday, but we will have to win 9 of our remaining 12 games that includes that same gauntlet. Tough to see us winning the AFC East with that schedule.
I think 10-6 is the best the Bills can hope for and it will come down to a tiebreaker in the conference among Bills, Ravens, Raiders, Chiefs and Bengals with NE, Pitt, Houston & Denver winning the divisions.
One game at a time...

Brady just turned 39. Those bones are getting brittle, reflexes starting to slow.
Who knows if this layoff will be the death knell for him.
I'd like to see him struggle until he meets us where we sit him on his butt at least 10 times.
Who knows, maybe he'll have a tantrum like his coach did yesterday.
-
Actually it sounds to me like a deliberate ploy on the part of a Patriots 2nd or 3rd string WR to provoke and enrage potentially undisciplined Bills DB to see if they can incite some penalties. If Mitchell got thrown out of the game, no big deal to the Pats.
And people think Belicheck didn't know about it?
He knows EVERYTHING that happens with his team.
It was a ploy to see if we would play without control.
It failed!

Should I change my avatar yet?
Yep.

I've been using this Animal House reference to all my Pat fan friends:
Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son.
-
The team was flat as evidenced by the first 2 plays.
They weren't ready for the challenge before them, which is unlike a Belichick coached team.
His fault?
Probably not.
They will digest this today and come out gunning for Cleveland on Sunday.
Brady may be rusty, but the rest of the players will be ready, I'm sure of it.

It was NOT over.
Enjoy the next few days, we deserve it.
Then on to the 3-1 Rams.
1 game at a time. 1 play at a time...
-
We are playing a 3-1 team at home.
We are traveling to the west coast, which is always a problem.
Our #1 receiver is out.
Our kicker is inconsistent.
Our defense seems to be getting into a rhythm.
The offense seems to be gelling - especially the line.
Dareus, Henderson are eligible.
1 play at a time. I game at a time.
-
Me too!
Why would it spell trouble?
The team will be up to show the world that they don't need CryBrady to win...
They can beat us with an INJURED 3rd stringer.
-
Whoever plays has to play each down as it's his last of the season.
Focus and do his job.
If that happens, we have a shot.
If not, same old same old.
-
That could spell trouble.
Everyone on the Patriots does their job, but due to the third string QB being in, they may play over and above.
We can pull this one out if we stay focused and don't take any stupid penalties (Hughes).
Is Tom Brady a First Ballot Hall of Famer?

Yes.
